We've had a beautiful fall here, and one day when N had the day off school, we went with another family from his school to a little farm near by. The boys had so much fun seeing all the animals and just being boys! (My friend has three boys, plus my two... that's a lot of boys!) We get strange looks when we're out in public. Partly because of the sheer number of boys, and partly because they're English. So you have this random collection of American and English accents running around! It's great fun!
Here is my friend and all the boys checking out the pigs. The pigs could (and did eventually) come right through the fence and up to the boys to be petted. (Yes, I had plenty of Purell on hand - hold your swine flu jokes please!) N is in the all red fleece with the hood, and e is on the far right. The boy in-between them is N's best friend, G. They are only four days apart in age, but G is like and entire head taller than N!
We also rode on a tractor ride through the country side. It was a little long for the little boys' attention spans, and my pregnant belly, but N and G were having so much fun waving at all the cars on the road and people walking by.
One of the other really neat things about this day is that they had the whole farm decorated for Halloween. They had these pumpkin sculptures all over the place. This one is a dragonfly, but they had spiders and caterpillars too. It was so cute!
But the highlight of the day for my boys were the toy tractors. They had an area full of these little pedal tractors that they could ride until their hearts were content. Notice too, they are little John Deers! Even in England.
