Making Christmas Cards

I've been sick for the past few days and haven't been in the mood for a lot of scrapping, but was in the mood to make vids and small projects. lol Anyhoo, I feel so much better today and asked my girls if they wanted to make some Christmas cards for their Auntie's, Uncle's and Grandpa & Grandma. So I set up the table with some Christmas scrapping stuff and the girls had a great time. The funny thing was, Ariana ( my oldest that's least into scrapping) ended up making all her cards. The other three got tired after making Grandpa and Grandma's card. lol It was so cute because after Ariana finished all her cards then dropped on the floor. When she got up she said "wow that was exhausting. Mom how do you manage to make mini albums?" We had a fun day! Wishing everyone a safe and wonderful Holiday and Happy New Year!!!

Happy Holidays

Here's a Christmas card I made with my favorite family photo using the first page of the musical book I purchased at my local Antique Trove store. I had scanned the original copy and printed the image on white cardstock then distress the edges with Antique Linen and Gold paint dabber. I then sprayed the Old lace Glimmer Mist to the entire frame and I added some Shimmerz and Distress Stickles on the leaves, wings and garland. I used my Su! Modern Label Punch to place a sentiment on the bottom frame. I added Crackle accent around the oval frame. Hope you give it a try.

2010 Coaster Calendar

Here's a 2010 calendar I made for my sister Rachel with coasters. I challenged myself to use only MM Vintage Findings and MM Autumn Splendor Collection. I wanted to incorporate all the holidays to each month and was happy with how it turned out. I used my spider web stamp and spider brad for the month of October since there were no Halloween themed items. I had a fun time making her calendar. I hope she likes it.

Christmas Mini for Vangie

Here's my DSC November swap mini for Vangie. I was super excited to swap with her. I had the BEST time making her mini because I just love Christmas and all the colors. The theme for the mini was to incorporate a lot of pockets. Vangie had also wanted a Winter White mini album. When I think of Winter White, I think of the colors blue and white. I had asked Vangie if she just wanted the two colors and she said I can use any color. I was super happy because I just love all the Christmas colors. I hope you like your mini Vangie.

Family Layout

Here's a layout I created for my mom. I usually don't create a lot of layouts as often as I should, but I love creating layouts for my mom. We're celebrating Thanksgiving today since we all will be with our in laws next weekend. I enjoyed incorporating the beautiful leaves I purchased at Michaels. I hope she likes it.

Mega Tag Mini

Here's a fun and quick mini I made using K & Company's Cut and Paste Mega Tag Pad. The girls had such a fun time at my brother's wedding that I had to create something for each of the girls to remember that special day. I had purchased so much of the Making Memories Vintage Findings and thought this would be perfect with the K & Co Mega Tag Pad.

Wedding Favors

I was given the honor to make the wedding favors for my brothers wedding this Saturday. The boxes were from Martha Stewart which made it pretty easy. My mom had assembled all the boxes together. I stamped the top lid using Stampin Up! Lexicon of Leaves stamp set. The creme box I stamped the image with SU! Chocolate Chip Classic Ink and for the brown box I embossed the lid using the same stamp with clear embossing powder. I then stamped the same image on acetate and embossed with Peeled Paint distressing powder and then hand cut the leaf and edged it with StazOn Timber Brown Ink. There were 142 favors total. I'm very excited how the favors turned out. It was fun to make and I can't wait til the wedding.

There will be a silent auction hosted on October 31st thru November 7th. Please be sure to visit Laura at her blog for more details. Below are pictures of the mini I created.
