LLLC4Kids Stripe Contest

I'm so thrilled that La-La Land Crafts has a website for kids called La-La Land Crafts For Kids . As soon as I told Ashley about the website, she couldn't wait to create a card with Sugar n' Spice Marci. This is Ashley's first time entering a Craft Contest and is so thrilled. La-La Craft For Kids is hosting a Use Stripes contest on their blog. Here's Ashley coloring her with my Copic markers. Ashley gets so excited every time she gets to use my markers. She cut a piece of design paper from her 12x12 DCWV Farmer's Market stack and trimmed her paper with her paper trimmer. I just loved how she created her own size of her card. She then embossed snowflakes on the front of the card with the CB Snowflake embossing folder using her Sizzix Texture Boutique. Ashley then added her colored Marci image on her card. I loved how she added heart stickers as earrings. She then added some bling, a Prima flower and a Baked With Love stamped sentiment. She's so happy and can't wait to create more.

Just Saying Hi

Hi Everyone!

Here's a picture stand I created for my two older girls to display on their desk. Ariana and Natalie just love to text their cousin and friends on their phone. I love the ALM I Need Some Face Time stamp set from My Favorite Things. This was definitely a stamp I just had to have. For the base of my stand, I adhered a 6x6 Kraft card stock that I scored at 2" and 4". Then, I adhered the 6x6 Kraft card stock to the card. I thought rather than giving this to my girls as a card, they can have this as a display. The paper collection I used is the Portobello Road by My Minds Eye. I really love the shades of blue in this collection. Its not often that I work with blues, but I have to get the collection if the shade of blue is pretty. I colored the stamped image using my Copic markers and also paper pieced her top and shoes. I thought since one of the design papers had words on it that it would be perfect to paper piece for the center of the phone . I love that it looks like a text message. Of course, you can't have a phone without some BLING. I added these adorable star blings from Recollections and placed them around the outer part of the phone and just adore how it turned out. I placed the image on the a Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Three die cut. I then fussy cut the banner with the birds from one of the design papers and placed it across the picture. The Eiffel tower die cut is from the Antique Paperie by Colorbok. That collection is perfect with the Portobello Road. I placed the Eiffel tower beside one of my favorite Beige Sheer Flower from Bev and added a ribbon buckle with a 10mm baby blue flat back pearl. I layered ThePiecebyPiece gorgeous Sheer Floral Squares in Aqua which I cut a small strip and then layered the Sheer Pleated Ribbon in White on top. I stamped the sentiment "Just Saying Hi" from the stamp set and love how this turned out.

Victorian Dresser

Hi Everyone!

I had a blast creating the Victorian armoire that I just had to create a matching dresser to go along with it. I created this dresser using the AccuCut Craft Locker Album die that I had designed for AccuCut. My favorite piece of the dresser of course is the mini album that goes inside the dresser. Another favorite is the crochet trim that lays across and over the dresser. I'm so happy with how it turned out.

Altered peat pot candy gifts

I was so sad when I received a phone call from Ashley's school that she got injured during her lunch break. I drove her school right away to pick her up and she was so sad and was all shaken up. Once we got home, I waited til she was calm and felt ready to tell me what had happened. Turns out, it was an accident and two of her friends that she plays with everyday were so kind and guided her to the closest yard duty for help. Ashley explained to me how helpful her friends were and that they were both very comforting. As a mom, it makes me feel to good to hear that. I wanted to make her friends a little "thank you" gift for being so helpful to Ashley. I altered these peat pots from my local 99 cent store and painted it with Vintage White acrylic paint and spray some Lindy Stamp Gang Cosmopolitan Pink. For the bottom base I used the Spellbinders Tear Drop Circles die and new Heidi Grace Daydream collection. On the front of the peat pot I added a Spellbinders Lacey die cut and adhered a Greeting Farm Odette and Summer image on top. I had asked Ashley to pick to Greeting Farms stamps that looked like her two friends. I colored them both with my Copics markers and paper pieced them with the HG Daydream design papers. The back of the pots I added I Am Roses flowers and leaves. For the inside, I created a little bag of treats and placed a shabby chic digi ticket from Bety which she signed to each of them. I loved how they both turned out and can't thank the girls enough for being there for Ashley.

Listed here are the products I incorporated on both pots.

Victorian and Baby Armoire

Hi Everyone!

These past few days I've been creating armoire's using the Locker Album die I designed for AccuCut Craft. I'm so excited how it turned out and look forward to creating more. For the Victorian armoire, I used the gorgeous Victorian Parlour collection and created a dress form mini album using my AccuCut dress form Custom die. I love adding home decor on top of my armoire's, cabinets, shelves and thought it would be adorable to add some embellishments on top of these armoire's. I thought a bird's nest with mini eggs, a bird and mini spools would be fun. I then added a lot of I Am Roses around the nest along with a larger wooden spool. The top is removable for me to have access to the album. I also decorated the armoire with a leaf trim a few coordinating Victorian Parlour die cuts and a beautiful shabby button for the handle. I didn't want there to be an opening, so I place a clear sheet from AccuCut Craft. I love it because it reminds me of those department store window displays you would see at the mall.

Of course creating one wasn't enough for me. heehee I then thought it would be cute to create a Baby armoire with a Dress Mini album inside and faux drawers on the bottom. For the next armoire, I'm going to create one with actual drawers and place a blanket inside or just have it dangling on the side of the drawer. I used my favorite K & Company Cut & Paste Collection. For the door, I cut the locker die cut in half and placed clear shabby buttons as my handles. This armoire is designed for the doors to stay open. On the top I added some gorgeous I Am Roses pink/yellow spray, a white R40 flower with my mom's beige crochet flower, green two-toned leaves and white S10 flowers. I also added KARLAS001 adorable white bird and pink/white leaf spray and love it. Inside the armoire, I created a Dress mini album using my Sizzix dress die and bind it with one inch rings. I added some cream lace trim and pink pearl trim from Hobby Lobby to give it a shabby chic look. For the faux drawers I used light weight chipboard with the design paper and added a buckle with pink pearls as the handles. On the left side of the door, I added a pink baby bracelet that I made and hung it on a 7 gypsies hook. I'm so thrilled how they both turned out and enjoyed every minute creating them.

A basket filled with chocolate dipped strawberries

I purchased MFTStamps Berry Box die and thought it would be fun to fill a basket filled with chocolate dipped strawberries as a Valentine gift for my daughter's teachers. Although it already came with the strawberry leaf, I Am Roses new White Flowers were perfect stained with Lindy Stamp Gang's Starburst Ponderosa Pine Olive and layered with a White Mini Rose. For the front of basket I added a gorgeous red rose and two white cherry blossoms on the side and sprayed them with Lindy's Glitz Spritz in Scintillating Silver. On the handle of the basket, I layered KARLAS001 flower trim then added a mini pink crochet flower, ribbon buckle and SaCrafters 10mm flat back pearl. I will fill all the strawberries with Valentine Hershey kisses in red and pink. You can also create white chocolate dipped strawberries and dark chocolate dipped strawberries. These are so fun to create throughout the year for any occasion.
