Long time no blog...

So it's been a little while since my last post--there is lots to catch up on.

We have all been out of town for quite some time. Josh went to Kansas for a week to do some things for school...and while he was there, Wyatt and I were in Atlanta visiting my dad and stepmom. We had an absolute blast hanging out with them for almost an entire week! It was such a treat to just visit and shop and enjoy their company. Wyatt loved playing with his Granddaddy too! I'm sure there are a lot of weekends alone with Granddad in the little guy's future...and as you can see from the pictures, we're knee deep in the phase where baby puts everything in his mouth.

After our time in Atlanta, Wyatt and I drove to Birmingham to see my mom and stepdad before they jetted off to Italy. We had a quiet evening of dinner at Pappas' Grill, where Wyatt had his first french fry, followed by lots and lots of packing...

The next morning, they left for Italy and Wyatt and I enjoyed ten days in Birmingham...we were taking care of all of the dogs that Nana and Caesar left behind while they were on vacation. We visited with lots of friends and met some new ones--Wyatt finally met little Isaac Sprayberry. They seemed to get along well--as well as two infants can. Hopefully they will be great friends one day. (photo courtesy of Kimmie Sprayberry)

During the ten days, Josh drove back and forth from Montgomery so that he could spend time with us and still make it to class. How blessed are we, that we have a husband and daddy who is willing to do that--just so we won't be lonely! It was nice being in Birmingham all together...we enjoyed eating at good restaurants and shopping at great stores...

Wyatt also tried his first lemon while we were eating out one afternoon...hope the video isn't too dark--it was pretty funny...

Now we're home...for a day. Haha. Tomorrow we're off to Jacksonville, Florida for 5 days. We own a condo down there and our current renters are moving out. So we need to go down and do some cleaning up...and probably a little painting. While that probably won't be much fun, we will get to see a lot of family while we're there. We're super excited about staying with our cousins Kenny and Kristen Marie on Tuesday night and then we're having dinner with Aunt Joy and Uncle Dan on Saturday. It should be a blast! Can't wait to write another post about what a great time we had!

Nana and Caesar's visit

Nana and Caesar came down to Montgomery to visit us yesterday and we had such a good time. We went to lunch, spent some time shopping at Caesar's favorite store (Costco) and bought Wyatt some cute (major on sale) clothes from Old Navy. It was so nice to be able to visit with them, since we will all be gone for the next week. Here are a couple of pictures from our Costco trip..

Josh just left for the airport a few minutes ago--he's headed to Kansas for work. I'm up early, getting the car loaded before Wyatt wakes up. Once he gets up, we'll have breakfast and then head to Atlanta to see my dad and stepmother. We are really excited about seeing them too. We'll head to Birmingham on Thursday (to watch Nana and Caesar's dogs while they're in Italy) and then Josh will get home on Friday. So that's our week...hope you all have as good a week as we are sure to have.

Just had to share this one...

Big events

Two big events occured in the Keever house today...first, Wyatt turned eight months old. And second, he also slept through the night last night! Finally! He went to bed at 7:30 last night and didn't make a peep until 7:00 this morning! It was amazing! When Josh and I woke up and realized that we had just gotten 10 hours of continuous sleep...we had the biggest smiles on our faces. It's amazing what a little sleep will do to your attitude. Anyway, I hope you all had as good a night's rest as we did!

On our horizon is a couple of big trips. Josh is headed to Kansas for work...and while he's gone, Wyatt and I are headed to Atlanta to see my dad and stepmom. I'm so excited to see them...and for them to see Wyatt at this stage in his life--he's so much fun. We sure will miss Josh, but I'm sure he'll be glad to have a week's worth of sleep-full nights and diaper-less days. Once we all return from our getaways, Wyatt and I will be headed to Birmingham for 10 days. We will be watching my mom and stepdad's dogs while they have a fabulous vacation in Italy. I wish we could go with them...but Josh still has school...so we'll have to settle for being dog watchers.

Anyway, stay tuned for updates on our trips...and of course more pictures...

Lake Martin with the Gambles

We just got back from a wonderful weekend at Lake Martin with our good friends Josh, Taylor and Miley Jean Gamble. Taylor's parents own a fabulous lake house up on Lake Martin and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing there and getting a little time away from Montgomery. Basically, we did nothing...but I suppose that is what the lake is for. We laid out on the dock, watched the dogs play in the water and just enjoyed the fellowship together. We can't wait to go back when the water is a bit warmer and little Wyatt can go swimming. Here are a few pictures of our trip...

Made us laugh so hard!

Wyatt was in the bath tub and Josh started making a funny noise to freak Buck (our dog) out...as it happened, Wyatt did not enjoy this noise...I almost fell down I was laughing so hard. And while I do feel bad for little Wyatt, I am so glad that we got this on tape...

Snow in Montgomery

When we woke up this morning, it was snowing outside! Wyatt loved watching the falling snow through the window...his reaction to it was precious!

Wyatt's first big boy bath

Seeing as Wyatt pretty much refuses to stay in his bath chair anymore, I decided it was time to move on. And of course, he LOVED it...
