It's been a while since we've posted so beware of a plethora of photos to follow in typical "look at my stinkin big and loveable kiddies" fashi on. We had numerous visitors the last month and a half--so a big shout out to all our adventuresome friends and fam who didn't mind crashing on our air mattress or couch and who made our fall super duper fun.
During the Balloon Fiesta at the beginning of October, we had some friends come to town: Joy, Kathryn, and Shannon. It was a short but sweet weekend with them. One day, we drove up to Sandia Peak only to find it completely clouded over and snowy. But they were good sports--they'll just have to come back for a better view. And Shannon and I got to visit with our long time friends the Yelifaris (pictured way below with Shannon is Heather with Katie and Paul, 2 of her 4 kiddies).

Then Brian's sister Elin came to town and played with us for a few days. We did fun stuff and Miles and Otis got in some quality auntie time.

Miles was in heaven a couple weeks later when we went with the Romero family to the pumpkin farm. He was loving the farm equipment, the farm animals and especially the big tunnel slide, which I thought he would avoid because it's a bit steep. But he loved it and kept cutting in front of all the kids in line, so he managed to get in at least 12 or so slides.

And on Halloween weekend, my cousins Darlene and Clarissa came down for a visit. Fun is always to be had with those two! And if Brian hadn't been a cry baby about it and had swallowed his manly pride, then we would have been the big bad wolf and the 3 little pigs instead of the 2 little pigs. Miles was a car carrier and Otis was (and still is) a lil' pun'kin.

Here's 7-month Otis standing up with great enthusiasm...and wobbliness...
...and Miles being crazy coon man in the snappy furs Auntie Elin brought for him.
Our friend Krista came for a visit, too--we loved having her here! Miles and Otis loved the attention. And she was even able to stay for Miles' birthday party at the park! One highlight of the party was during an intense game of "Duck Duck Goose" when Miles' little friend Oliver, also 3, decided that he would make the goose (Miles) chase him across the park rather than around the circle and back to his spot. Very entertaining. Miles also got a trike that he loves loves loves.
