Part Two

I love all his different expressions!

My 5 Year Old Boy

Mason turned 5 last month. He looked forward to his birthday for weeks and we had a calendar countdown. It was so much fun to be able to see the excitement he had and look forward to his "big day" with him. I was finally able to get his birthday pictures done, so here they are. Now I have to warn you that I usually try to limit the pictures that I post, but that is not going to happen today. In fact I will probably divide it up into two post...or maybe three.
Here is Mason's creativity, my thought is if he is happy we will get happy photo's and it shows a little of his funny personality
here he wanted it to look like he was falling
and then he wanted it to look like he was knocking, if you ask him he will tell you he was just pretending
and what 5 year old photo shoot would be complete without an eyeball shot

I am sure he is about to bust out a light saber or sword

Happy Birthday Mason

First and Second day of school

Our first day of school pictures did not go as expected, it was raining and by raining I mean flooding. We opted for a few indoor pictures and here is what I did end up with, don't they just look as if they are going to bubble over excitement! I tried to get each boy to hold up the number of fingers as they are old, if you will look close you will see that Mason is holding 2 and Brayden 5...Since day 1 did not go so well I decided to take second day of school pictures
This one is not going to school on Thursdays, but he is cute and therefore had his picture taken as well.

First, Mason wanted to take a silly picture, can you tell what he is doing?

If you guessed balancing a Cheerio on his nose, you would be correct.

And then we had to take one of his light-saber before having to put it away, because we don't take our light-saber to school. Yes, I am that kind of mom who makes him put his invisible toy away, although sometimes he sneaks it in anyway.

And here is the obligatory, "okay mom I will take a regular picture."
I am just wondering exactly what is going through these two little minds.
And there is our first and second day of school, posted within a week of it happening!

First Day of Summer School

Seeing as tomorrow is the first day of the regular school year, I decided it was about time to get my act together and get pictures from this summer posted. So here you go, back in June we started summer school. We went once a week for June and July and the boys had a blast. If you hold your breath for the next two months I might get around to posting the rest of my summer pictures! In fact since school is starting I might get into a regular routine and post regularly, and have all my laundry done, kitchen clean, floors vacuumed, and boys bathroom not smelling like a "boys" bathroom ...I can dream right. I will most likely continue to be scatter brained, but when I walk into my boys bathroom and take a big whiff I will count my blessings and say "at least I have these two cute boys to make this bathroom what it is." I will then pull out a Clorox wipe do a quick once over and decide not to offer anybody that stops by my house something to drink.

Brayden was extremely excited to get to use Mason's old backpack, he thought he was big stuff.
