Merry Christmas from the Thatchers

Merry Christmas

We hope that you and your families had a wonderful Christmas day. Our family had a great day. The boys woke up around 7 am and wanted to open presents right then. They were both so excited. Sid had been asking for days if it was Christmas Eve yet. This was our first Christmas without family around. We usually had Great grandpa and grandma at our house Christmas morning watching the boys open their presents. It was strange not having them around this year. We did well with the transition and spoke to everyone on the phone instead. The boys loved the gifts they received from santa, us, each other and family that sent some up.

Robbie received a wii game "star wars clone wars light saber duel" a ds game "star wars clone wars jedi alliance" an indian jones hat, the light saber sticks that attaches to the wii remotes and the cheat book from santa. He received some ds games from great grandma and grandpa a nerf gun from gaga and jack, drawing book and pj bottoms from pop and nan, a board game from us, legos and star wars transformer from Sid. He has loved them all.

Sid received a kitchen, play food, a nail gun, and drill from santa. He received some ds games from great grandma and grandpa, a nerf gun from gaga and jack, a board game and pj bottoms from pop and nan, handy manny from us and star wars guys from Robbie. He has not stopped playing with the kitchen since we got it set up. He excited to use his nail gun when daddy uses his nail gun.

Kennen received a new drill, a framing nailer, a new muppet movie and some new long sleeve shirts for work. (It is a little colder here than we are used to)

As for myself I received some new wool socks and sock liners, I got some new pants with lining in them and some new sorel snow boots. Yea! I am going to be warm.

Santa brought some family gifts as well. He brought some movies and another ds system. I think he knew that we were over the fighting of the one we had. Thank you santa.

The boys stayed in their jammies all day, ate a big breakfast of french toast, eggs and bacon. Robbie says we have to keep with the one tradition from Utah. Having bacon on Christmas morning. It was such a nice relaxing day. Other than we decided that toys need to come preassembled.

We hope that you all had a very Merry Christmas. Thank you all for your love and support in the last year. It has meant a lot to us ecspecially since we have moved. Love you all.

Christmas Day

Today is Christmas, there is so much that is going through my mind. I don't know if the world has just forgotten what Christmas is about. It has become so commercialized that I don't think the kids even know why we celebrate this lovely holiday.

Today I am so thankful for my Saviour. I am thankful that he was born, raised, tortured, healed the sick, taught those who would listen and then he died for me. He died that I may have eternal life. He died so that he may know the pains, sorrow and happiness that I feel.
I am thankful that I don't have to go through my life alone. That he is there for me and that he knows me, he knows when I am sad, happy, in trouble etc. And he is there for me through it all. He has wiped away the tears, carried me when I couldn't walk no more, been a friend when I felt alone. He has been there to smile when I am happy and laugh with me when life is just dang funny. I am so thankful that He has a sense of humor, that He gives us little trials some are funny after the fact and I think He puts them there to see if we have a sense of humor also. (for example: when we were moving and we prayed to arrive in Casper safely. That day as we traveled we ended up with 3 flat tires on our anniversary. Kennen got out of the truck on the 3rd flat tire and said honey maybe you should have prayed for safety and arriving in a timely manner. ) He got us to Casper safely, he did not allow us to be in any danger. By the time we arrived we were laughing about the whole situation. I know that He will not allow for us to be in harms way, if we let him into our lives. I am so thankful for the spirit that we feel. I am thankful for that little small voices that whispers or sometimes yells to us. I am so thankful for this Christmas Season, and all that it represents.

May you all have a wonderful Christmas Day.

We love you and Merry Christmas.

12th day of Christmas

On the 12th day of Christmas, I am thankful for Kennen. I am thankful for the wonderful Husband, father, friend, provider that he is. I am thankful for all that he does for me and our boys. I am thankful that he puts up with me, I know sometimes it is hard for him to hold his tongue but he does. I am thankful that he has allowed me to stay home and raise our boys. I am thankful for his support in the endevours that I take. Like spending countless hours learning to make soap, candles, blankets, learning all about scouts, blogging, and the list goes on. I am thankful that he has been there everytime I have fallen ill and been taken in for surgeries. He is my rock. I am thankful that he is a worthy priesthood holder and he is able to give priesthood blessings when he is called upon.
I am thankful for his laughter, jokes. I am thakful there is never a dull minute at our house. I am thankful that he is a wonderful father and will play with the boys. As Sid says "me and dad are farting friends and burping friends" I am thankful that he is knowledgeable. He answers Robbies questions with ease. I am thankful that he knows the scriptures and the gospel, so that he can continue teaching us.
I am thankful that he is always so willing to serve others. He never puts himself first. I am thankful that he loves those that are around him. As we lived in Springville, he loved the boys he served, he loved the men he served with. He loved Our neighbors that called upon him to help.
I am thankful that he has put up with me for over 12 years. The day we were married I went to the Temple with wet hair and throwing up. He still married me, and then on our flight to California I was throwing up again. He just held the barf bag. What a guy. He has done so many wonderful, kind, loving things for me that I can not mention them all. He is the BEST.
I am thankful that he listens to the still small voice, even if that voice told him to move. I know that we were supposed to move or things wouldn't have worked out the way they did.
He is extremely happy here and so are the boys and myself. I am greatful for the move and that he listened to the prompting.
I just want you all to know a little about Kennen, I hope this helps. I love him tremendously. I think he is so spankin cute. I love his support in everything. I hope that I make him proud of me like I am proud of him. Honey, If you read this. I love you. And I hope you have a very Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas to you all. Happy 12 days of Christmas from the Thatcher Family.

11th day of Christmas

On the 11th day of Christmas, I am thankful for Our Robbie. I am thankful that he was our first born. I am thankful that he was such an easy baby. I am thankful that he decided to walk, potty train, everything on his own. He was walking by 7 months, potty trained himself before he was 2. I am so thankful for his quiet ways. He doesn't say much, he is a lot like my brother Shad. I am thankful that on occassion he will allow me to hug him.(not often). I am thankful that he does well in school. I am thankful that he loves to read. I am thankful that he allows his little brother to tag a long with him on most days. I am thankful for his smile. You don't see a true smile very often but when you do, it brightens up the room. I am thankful that he is willing to laugh. I am thankful that he loves to learn about the scriptures. I am thankful for all of the questions he asks even if I don't know the answer. A lot of the time I am on research mode finding out the answers to his questions. Like how did Wyoming get its name?
I am thankful that he is such a caring person. He loves little kids and he is so very gentle with them. He loves his 2 little sisters and talks about them often. He loved the time he had learning to swim with gaga. He loves going to the farm and helping grandpa. He is our child that would rather play(legos, swordfighting, starwars, basketball, swimming), watch t.v., play video games. He has a wonderful imagination. He doesn't offer much help around the house unless you tell him to. I am thankful that Robbie is Robbie. I am thankful that his personality fits into our family. I can honestly say that both of my boys are so very different. They are not similiar in anyway. I am thankful that he is a part of our family. Our family would not have been complete without him. I am thankful that a lot of times he can talk sense into Sid when no one else can. I am thankful that he loves Sid and asks Sid to play with him. I am thankful that he is willing to watch Sid for me while I hurry and do something.

I am thankful for Robbie and all that he does and says. I am truely greatful that he is such a good boy. We love him so very much and can't imagine our life without him.

Happy 12 days of Christmas.

10th day of Christmas

On the 10th day of Christmas, I am thankful for my little Sid. I am thankful for the laughter he has brought into our home. I am thankful for the frustration he gives me, so that I have to learn patients. I am thankful that he is so full of love. I am thankful for his sweet funny personality. I think that he could make anyone laugh. He says and does the funniest things. I am thankful that he has my dads personality. I am thankful that he has been my snuggler. I am thankful that Heavenly Father gave him to our family. I am thankful that the Lord knew that I needed the extra 5 years between the two boys to get over the initial shock of their personality differences.
I am thankful that Sid is Sid. Usually when people ask about Sid all you can say is Sid is Sid. He loves his big brother so very much and follows him around. He loves school and his teachers. He loves primary (finally). He loves to go to play group and play with his friends there. He loves Jeannette and the kids. He loves his Bec and asks when she is moving to Byboming with us. But most of all he Loves his Ashleigh more than anything else. He always asks for her instead of me.
He asks all the time when Drew is coming to stay to visit. He is a gentle soul, he cries so easly and worries about a lot of people. This kid has the best memory when it comes to names. Someone can introduce themselves once and they then become Sid's best friend and he will not forget their name.
He is so excited for Christmas and Santa. Everyday he asks if it is Christmas Eve yet. He wants to open those presents under the tree. This year he has asked for tools, a kitchen, and handy manny. What a kid.
I am thankful that he is a part of our family. Our family would not have been complete without him. I am thankful that the day that he was born it all worked out. (for those of you who do not know, I gave birth to him 5.5 weeks premature, breach and alone). It was way scary. I think that was one of the scariest things I have ever done. When you have a doctor telling you not to push or you will kill the baby and possibly you. Wow it was an experience.

I am so thankful for Sid, I don't know what we would do without him. Our house would not be so full of love and laughter that is for sure.

We are wishing you a very Merry 12 days of Christmas.

9th day of Christmas

On the 9th day of Christmas, I am thankful for my FAMILY. I am thankful for a dad and mom that raised me well. I am thankful for my dad for all that he taught me and all that he expected of me. I am thankful to my mom for the time she spent with Robbie and taking him on the weekends while she lived in Salt Lake. I am thankful for a loving brother who is gentle and quiet. He doesn't say much but he always tells me he loves me everytime that I talk to him. I am thankful for a wonderful sister in law that since we moved we talk everyday sometimes multiple times. I am thankful that she has been a part of our family for a long time. (Shad and Jenny dated all through high school). I am thankful for a nephew and a niece that are so spanking cute, and for the new nephew I will be getting soon. I am thankful for grandparents that are amazing. They took over so many roles when my dad died. The boys love grandma and grandpa Hansen so very much. I am thankful for the time that we were able to spend down at the farm. I am thankful for the memories of the family time that we all treasure. I am thankful that families can be forever. I am thankful that my family taught me so much, hopefully I can pass some of those many things on to our boys. I am thankful that we had the opportunity to live close to family for so long, for the chance that we had to spend time together. I am thankful for the move away, so that you know what you have and you can look at it from a different perspective and not take it for granite. I love all of my family so very much.

On that note, I am thankful for Kennen's family as well. For what they taught him, so that he could be the most wonderful husband, father, friend, provider that he is. I am thankful for the work ethic that was instilled in him from his dad. I am also thankful that Scott taught him to sit back and laugh. I am thankful that Paula taught Kennen the love of music, I love to listen to him sing. I am thankful for Kennen's brother and sisters. I am thankful that we have cute nieces and nephews. Thank you for all you did and do for Kennen and us.

Eyes are being washed again. What is going on they must be dirty.
We love all of you and wish you all a very Merry 12 days of Christmas.

8th day of Christmas

On the 8th day of Christmas. I am thankful for FRIENDS. I mentioned them with my trials so I thought I would give them their own day. I am so thankful for the friends I have. I am thankful that they put up with me. I don't know why they chose me for a friend but I am so glad they all have. In my life I have had so many amazing friends. I still keep in touch with friends I grew up with. Those friends are still very special and important in my life. They were there for me through so much, they were there for me when I got married, when my dad died, when I have given birth. I made wonderful friends since I have been married and living in Springville. I wouldn't trade them for the world. I miss them tremendously. Thankfully we have phones and we talk to each other multiple times a day. Yes Chris I am still being an influence. He always said that I was an influence but he wasn't sure if it was for good or bad. I am thankful for the friends I have made here in Casper. I really don't know why anyone would be my friend, ecspecially since I have moved. I haven't been that nice. I am thankful that Heavenly Father has placed so many wonderful people in my path. I am thankful that those people have taken the time to get to know me and become my friends. I can honestly say that I believe that I have the bestest friends in this whole wide world.
Thank you to you all for all you have done for me and my family. I hope that I can be the type of friend to you all that you have been to me. I pray that you all know how much you are loved and appreciated by me. I pray that you have a wonderful Christmas and that you may feel the Spririt of Christmas.
I love each of you so very much. Happy 12 days of Christmas.
Once again my eyes need washing.

The 7th day of Christmas

On the 7th day of Christmas, I am thankful for TRIALS. I am thankful that they usually make you a stronger person. I am thankful that my Heavenly Father is there for me through these times, and I know that he will not give me trials that I can not handle.
I am thankful that trials don't last forever and each individual trial is just for me.
I am thankful that I am not alone when I have these trials, that I have loving people around me who get to hear me gripe, cry, be negative and whatever else I come up with. I am thankful I don't always feel that way because that would be such a long life not just for me but those around me.

For those who know me well, know that I try so hard to get through these times of my life with a good attitude. I am thankful that I having a loving Heavenly Father who sent his son to die for me so that I may always be forgiven and be able to return home to him someday. I want to let Kennen, Ashleigh, Jeannette and Becca thank you for being there for me these last couple of weeks. I have been so negative about everything and you all just listen so kindly and then tell me you love me. I could not have asked for better people in my life. Thank you for helping me through my trials. (just to let you know, I have tears. As Sid would say my eyes need to be washed) I love you all.

Happy 12 days of Christmas.

The 6th day of Christmas

On the 6th day of Christmas. I am thankful for Music. I am thankful for the many emotions it can bring with it. I am thankful for the Christmas music that is fun and also for the ones that pull at the heart strings and you begin to cry.
I am thankful for songs that we listen to on a regular basis that are uplifting and help you through the day. I am thankful that our family enjoys music.
I love it when my kids say lets just listen to the radio. I love church music that invites the spirit into our homes, heart, and lifes.
I love to sing I may not be the best singer but I love to belt out a song if I know it.

I am thankful for the music pioneers who were inspired to right songs that would fit our lives and the situations that we are in.

I love the calming affect that some music brings. But, I also love the energy others can bring.
I find it interesting when those from our past were placed in difficult situations they began to sing. I think of Joseph Smith the night he was killed and them singing in the jail cell. How amazing is that? Do you think that they knew? I know with the songs that they sang that the Spirit was probably so strong in that little room. I know those songs touch me deeply. Thank you for the example of the power of song.

Happy 12 days of Christmas.

The 5th day of Christmas

On the 5th day of Christmas, I am thankul for KNOWLEGDE. I don't know if any of you have really thought about it, but we all have it. We are all able to read, write, talk. It is one of the only things that can not be taken away from you.

I love to learn. I think that is why I love the scouting program so very much. It gave me the opportunity to learn and grow all the time. It taught me to get out of my comfort zone and teach boys and adults.
I love to read, I read all the time. They may not always be educational, some are romance, church, just becuase books and a lot of kid books. I loved the Harry Potter series that Robbie and I read together. Kennen doesn't like it when I get into a good book cause I will not put it down until I am finished which doesn't take me very long. But during that time nothing gets done at home.

I am thankful for the college degree I have. I don't know if any of you feel stagnant. That is one of the main reasons we moved. Kennen wasn't learning or growing at his job and wanted a challenge and to go somewhere that he could learn new things. I guess he likes to learn as well. Since we moved it is my turn to be stagnant for awhile. I need to find things here that are challenging to me. That will keep my little brain working right. I think that is why I took on this challenge, it has given me so much to think about. I love it.

As you are going about your day be thankful for all that you have learned and will learn. Never close your mind to learning new things even if it may be hard at first. That is how you grow.

Happy 12 days of Christmas. We love you all.

4th day of Christmas

On the 4th day of Christams, I am thankful for FREEDOM. I am thankful for the opportunities that we have to worship how we wish to worship, live were we would like to live, eat what we want to eat, have an education in whatever we would like to learn. I am thankful that I can get in my car and go and do whatever I would like to do for the day. I am thankful that we could have a house, car, job, food, education, health care and for the chance that we have to choose them on our own.

Thank you for those who have fought for these rights. For all of the military past and present. For the families of these people who give up there fathers, mothers, sister, brothers, husband and wives for all of us so that we may have our FREEDOM. Thank you for making our Country a safe place to live and work. Thank you for spending so much time away from your families so that we can have time with ours.

It makes me so upset when people are not pleasent with those who are fighting in Iraq. They have fought and are still fighting to make it so that we have our FREEDOMS. Please support those that are in our military (any branch) if you know of anyone or run across someone who has served please tell them thank you.

Remember, everything you do for the day is what YOU get to choose to do. Some places don't have that luxury. Tell those around you that has served in the military past or present thank you and Merry Christmas.

Happy 12 days of Christmas

3rd day of Christmas

On the 3rd day of Christmas. I have been thinking about this one for a long time. I can't believe how difficult this has turned out to be. Not that I am not thankful for many things cause I am and all of things I am thankful for would way go past the 12 days of Christmas. I guess what I am trying to say is that it is hard to narrow things down for a short little blog.

I have decided though that I am thankful for appliances. I know that sounds worldly but I can't even imagine not having a washer or dryer right in the house. I have used them so much the last two weeks that they have totally payed for themselves. I honestly don't know how people go out to the laundry mat to do laundry (ecspecially when you have sick kids). Thank you to my ancestors who washed their clothes in a stream, cooked over an open fire, didn't have a fridge for food (can you imagine the illnesses that came with that).

I guess I am thankful that we are a very blessed people to have the luxuries that we do. These bless our lives tremendously. We have the washer, dryer, microwave, fridge, stove, deep freezers, water heaters, A/C units. That is only a few of our appliances we have. I personally can't imagine my life without these comforts.

Thank you to my ancestors who were able to, who also were able to begin making these and keep making these until they are what we have today. I know they will all probably change by the time our boys get big but boy howdy I am thankful for the nice ones that we have in our home.

As you go about your day keep in mind that our ancestors did not have the luxuries that we do, they didn't have the microwave for hot chocolate or popcorn, they didn't have the opportunity to go to the next room to wash clothes, take a shower, cook or anything else. When you say your prayers tonight be thankful for the small things we have and remember that someone payed the sacrifice so that we could enjoy them.

Happy 12 days of Christmas!

2nd day of Christmas

On the second day of Christmas, I am thankful for a nice warm house. As we look outside and see all of the snow and they say that the temp. is -17. I am thankful that we have shelter. I am thankful that we have a place to make memories, have fun, eat meals together and everything else a home represents.

I am thankful that we were able to move from a nice home into another nice home without any complications.

I am thankful for the home that I had to live in while I was young and for the many memories that I have from there.

I am praying that our boys will be able to have nice warm memories of our home.

Hope you all have nice warm homes this holiday season.
Happy 12 days of Christmas. We love you!

1st Day of Christmas

I have decided to do a little something different for this blog. I have been laying in bed all day and it came to my mind that today is 12 days til Christmas. For the 12 days of Christmas we always do gifts for the boys. I thought that I would blog everyday for the next 12 days. I hope you are all patient with me.

Today on the 1st day, I am thankful for our health. It is something that we don't think about, until we are sick or someone we love is ill. The last two weeks we have been sick at our home. We seem to keep passing a silly flu bug around. All 4 of us have had it and today 3 out of the 4 is achy, sore, and we all threw up all night.

I am so greatful for health and that we are able to go to doctors if we need to. I am greatful that we are all here and we can do things on our own.

Here is wishing you all a Healthy winter and ecspecially a very Healthy Christmas.

I will have the 2nd day tomorrow.
Happy 12 days of Christmas. We love you all.

A weekend of Christmas.

Pictures: our christmas tree. Hansen's Christmas party. The boys decorating our tree.

We had a very crazy week and a very strange but good weekend. Sid got the flu yet again on Tuesday night and threw up into Wednesday night. He started to feel better thankfully cause we were heading to Utah on Saturday. Friday Jeannette and I spent the day Christmas shopping. It was great fun. Saturday morning we woke up and headed to Utah in the truck and pulling a trailor. (It felt like a moving trip). We headed to Logan first. We left Casper around 8 am and reached Logan at 4:17 pm. We hung out at Kennen's parents house and had a little Christmas party with his family. (got the swing set) Thank you Moe and Tara for the gifts for the boys. Later that night we went to Macey's and bought a bunch of meat. Around 12:30am Sid begins to throw up again. He threw up all night and all day on Sunday. Sunday morning we got up (okay we were already up from the day before) and headed down to Palmyra (spanish fork). We had my family Christmas party starting at 11 am. We had a good time. We felt bad that grandma and grandpa, Shad, Jenny,Drew, Emma, Gaga and Jack had to be around while Sid was sick. I hope that none of you get it. After the party we went to Springville and swung in and said hi to Becca for 2 min, got our stuff from Sandra's house(we are officially all moved to Casper) and then we went to Chris and Ashleighs. It was good to say hi to everyone even if it was for just a minute. We decided that after this weekend we don't need Santa to come. Do you think the boys will go for it? They were spoiled by grandma, grandpa, Shad and Jenny, Gaga amd Jack, Chris and Ashleigh. Thank you all for thinking of them. We drove home and got back to Casper around 2am Monday morning. Today, Kennen and I are not feeling so hot. I guess it is our families turn for the blasted flu that is going around. YUCK!!!! On top of it all it has snowed since we got home. It is not letting up either. Welcome winter.

Happy Thanksgiving

This is us playing games. Fun times

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a great time with the Mills, Burgess, and Wiggington/Abliwi families. Everyone came to our house and brought different Thanksgiving items. We had so much yummy food and way yummy pies. We were able to send the kids downstairs to play while we adults stayed upstairs and played games. It was a lot of fun. That night the guys went to the storage unit and got the china hutch. Okay, we are officially out of the storage unit. Yippy!!!!

I have also made a fun Christmas craft that I want to share with all of you. I think it is super cute. Can't wait to put it out.

Everyone is doing well at our house. We will be coming to Utah on the night of the 6th. We have Kennen's parents Christmas party that night (we get to pick up our swing set). On the 7th is my family Christmas party in Spanish Fork (we get to pick up our 4 wheeler, hose reel, and flowers). We will be officially all moved up to Caspar at that point. We will be driving back on the 7th so lets all pray for good weather that weekend so we can make it both ways.

A week from He**

This past week was interesting I must say. Kennen was in Portland, so I should have assumed something would happen right? It always does when it is just me. Anyway, it all started off going as good as it could. I took Robbie to school on Tuesday and then Sid. That day while Sid was at school he got pushed into the brick wall. He had a gash above his left eye. The school had changed the bandage 4 times, I was a little worried about that. I am the most panicky mother when it comes to blood. I changed the bandage again and it continued bleeding. Here I am thinking I need to take him for a stitch. Thankfully, It clogged off with dry blood and I didn't try to remove the bandage again. Sid wasn't crying for me he wanted his Ashleigh. It was super cute so we had to call Ashleigh and then everything was much better. That night I took Robbie to scouts, and went to wal-mart and bought Wall E for the boys.
Wednesday, it started out to be a normal morning. But like I said Kennen is gone so nothing is normal. I take Robbie to school and then Sid. After school, I am driving back from Sids school to Robbies. We pull up in front of Robbies school, Sid takes off the seatbelt stands up and proceeds to "pee" in the middle of the van. He doesn't tell me has to go, he does say "mom, me am trying to get it in the garbage can" I thought I was going to come unglued. Thankfully, it was in the van and not the new car. That night he starts screaming about his ear hurting. I call up one of our friends the Marshalls and ask Keelie if Jordon is home. She says yes, so I take Sid over there to have Jordon look at Sids ear. He confirms my nightmare Sid has an ear infection (this means his tubes have fallen out). Jordon is here working at the hospital, he is becoming a doctor. Thank you for checking his ears.
Thursday we had play group which was fun we had a chip and salsa bar. Lots of yummy salsas. On Thursday I spent most of the day on the phone trying to find a doctor. Well, I have to take Sid into the insta care cause there are no doctors in Casper accepting new patients. By the time I dropped Sid off at school, I just broke down. I was back to normal by the time 3 came around when I had to go and pick them back up. I went to help Stacey and Jeannette clean and then we all came over to our house and cleaned. I loved doing the tag team cleaning thing. How fast things go when there are three of you working on the same goal.
By Friday, I was greatful for a loving husband who just got home and let me go have a girls night out with some of my friends. Thank you Jeannette and Stacey for inviting me to the movie and dinner. This week we are Thankful for the wonderful friends and family we have. For there support and love. We hope that you all have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. We should have a fun time we are having Thanksgiving with 3 other families from our ward. We will take lots of pictures to show you all. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!

A great birthday week!!!

Happy Birthday to me. Look at how pretty these roses are that my sweet husband gave me for my birthday. Ashleigh sent this scentcy warmer and some scentcy's for my birthday. Isn't she amazing?

This is my sweet husband, isn't he cute. He is still loving his job which is great.

Sid, what a crack up. They think that we have had Christmas in November. We are finally getting boxes out of the storage. Yea!!! Sid is still doing good. He loves school and is excited to go everyday.

Robbie is such a good boy. He loves playing with hs video games and he lets Sid play with him as well which is so nice. He loves scouts and the friends he has made there. He spoke in primary yesterday and did well.
Kennen and I spoke in Sacrament meeting yesterday. I hope it went well, everyone said it was good. Thankfully it is over and hopefully we don't have to do it again for a long long time.
We would like to wish Michon a very happy birthday as well. We share a birthday and it is so much fun.
Thank you Jeannette and family for the dish towels to match my new kitchen you guys are great. We love you and are greatful that we have you as our friends. Thank you to those who called me it means a lot to me and my family.

Robbie's Fall Carnival

Our week? What did we do is the question. We had scouts which I was able to go and help with. I miss working with the scouts. We had a fun time at the Fall Carnival at Robbies school. They served dinner for a dollar a piece and then they had a carnival which consisted of carnival games which the boys were able to get little prizes. They had a cake walk which we were lucky enough to bring home a german chocolate cake and they also had the book fair going on. It was a lot of fun and it only cost me $5.00 for the whole evening. We brought home a cake worth more than that so I thought we did good.

We have been trying to get our stuff out of storage the past couple of days. I can say this we can see the back wall of the storage unit. I think we have 2 more trips and we will be done. Remember that one of those trips will be the china hutch, book shelf, doll hutch, ceder chest. So a lot of furniture. Yea, we will be all in our house.

They are going to start putting up our fence soon. That is way exciting for us.

We hope you had a good week and hope your week to come is amazing.

Sorry there are no pictures, forgot the camera.

Halloween/Mt.Rushmore 2008

Happy Halloween!!!!

We had a fabulous week. Halloween week was fun. It started off with learning to make homemade caramel and then dipping apples. It is one of my favorite treats caramel apples. YUMMY!!!

Sid had a Halloween party at school and was so excited to wear his costume. They took them to a care center that is right next door. They got candy and were all on cloud 9.

The boys and I cut pumpkins and attempted to make a Halloween ginger bread house. As you can see the word attempted was in that sentence. It didn't work out but the boys had fun with their frustration.

Robbie had a Halloween party at school on Friday, they got to take their costumes to school and put them on right before the party. He said it was fun. As I was picking him up, I could not believe what some of them were wearing it blew me away.

Halloween night Becca came to our house and then we went to the ward party. The boys got a pillow case of candy EACH. That means we have 2 pillow cases full of candy. It was a lot of fun, we ate chili, they had a carnival and then the kids got to go trick or treating. They even had a spook alley which Robbie thought was pretty cool.

Saturday was fun. When everyone woke up (after 9 for the boys and Bec) We hung out and then about 2pm decided to take a drive to South Dakota. We left Casper around 3 or a little after and arrived at Mount Rushmore about 645pm. That is with 2 coke and potty stops and then 1 extra potty stop. Mount Rushmore at night is beautiful. I hope Bec had a good time, even though we spent a lot of time in a car. We did not arrive back home until I don't remember it was way after midnight.

Thanks Becca for coming and sharing Halloween with us. We had a great time and hope you did as well. Come and visit us again.

It was a fun filled week for all. I hope you all had a great Halloween.

A WEEK OF FUN

Thanks for the great picture chris. Chris, Ashleigh and Jaide
Ashleigh, Maddie, me
Bec and boys

Hello to you all. We had a wonderful week. We left Monday night and drove to Little America,Wy. We got there around 930pm, we left there around 7am Tuesday morning and drove to Salt Lake. We arrived in Salt Lake around 11 am and dropped Kennen off at his place of work there. The boys and I drove to Springville and surprised everyone. I got my hair cut thank you Chelsea for doing that for me. We spent the rest of that day with Ashleigh and family. The boys were able to play with Tawni, Jaxon and Carter. They miss their friends and loved playing with the Roberts again. Tuesday night Kennen drove down to Springville and the Millards and us went out to dinner. It was fun spending time with Ashleigh and girls for the day. Tuesday night we drove back to Salt Lake. Wednesday we woke up and drove back to Utah County to surprise my mom, my sister-in-law, and my grandparents with a visit. It was a lot of fun not letting anyone know we were coming. Wednesday we met our friend Becca for lunch at Panda Express our favorite place to eat, we had a good time seeing her and can't wait until this weekend when she is coming to Casper. Wednesday night we picked up the trailor from the Roberts and drove back to Salt Lake and Thursday we hung out for half of the day there and we met Laurie for lunch ( a friend I grew up with in Price). It was so good to see her since I haven't seen her since Robbie was about 4 months old. She has a super cute little boy and Sid loved helping him out during lunch. We drove home Thursday, which made a long day but thankfully we had Friday to re-coop. It was a super fast trip, but we enjoyed seeing those we had time to see.

Okay, update on the move..... We are out of the rental. YEA!!!!! It only took us a month but we finally did it. Now we have to finish the storage unit. It is all good.

Our kitchen table will be arriving on Tuesday morning and I am so excited for that. We also have a little couch coming the same day for the basement. Yippy, we will have something to sit on downstairs while we are watching tv.

We wanted to say thank you to Pop and Nan for driving to Casper with our four-wheelers.

What a week!

I am such a flop. I was supposed to chaperon a stake dance and I totally forgot. On Saturday we took the boys swimming at the aquatic center and then went to the rental house and finished getting our stuff and we started to clean it. When we got home it was 8:30 pm and we needed to run to wal-mart so we went. I dogged out on my duty. They are going to fire me from my calling. I am so scattered brain lately. I don't think I have ever been as bad as I have been since I moved here. So, we only have a storage unit left to move to the house. Isn't that depressing?

The boys are doing well. We had a birthday party for Robbie on Friday. We went swimming, out to lunch and out for ice cream. Ice cream was a second thought. We had to leave the swimming pool early do to the fact that someone pooped in the water. How could you let your kids do that? I totally decided that I can not handle 5 boys. It was crazy. Robbie had fun though so that is what matters. Sid is doing good. He still loves school and play group. He loves Jeannette and the kids and always wants to play with them. He has decided that "the girl" is fun too. The girl is Addie she is the daughter of one of my friends.

Kennen is busy busy busy. He seems to enjoy it. Today (Sun. 10/19/08) he got called out at 10:00 am this morning and just got back at 4:00pm. He worked yesterday from 4am -11am. So to all of you who are wondering why it is taking so long to move this is one BIG reason. The other is we get so depressed after we un-pack 2 boxes. We hate to think of all of the crap that we have. The sad thing is we have gotten rid of so much but obviously it is not enough, I am just overwhelmed with it all.

As for myself I am doing well, other than I can't think straight. I know that it is not news to some. I love being in our own house. I feel at home again. Even without all of our stuff. We hope this finds you well and hope you have a great week. Love you all!!!

ROBBIE IS 9

LOOK WE HAVE SNOW ON OCT. 11, 2008. It started snowing on the
night of Oct. 10. WELCOME TO WYOMING...

ROBBIE IS 9 TODAY. BOY HOW TIME FLIES. WE WOKE UP TO SNOW THIS MORNING WHICH BUMMED HIM OUT. HE HAS HAD A GOOD DAY. HE EVEN DECORATED HIS OWN CUPCAKES. THEY TURNED OUT PRETTY GOOD. I CAN'T SAY CUTE CAUSE HE GETS MAD AT ME. ROBBIE REALLY ENJOYED GETTING A PACKAGE IN THE MAIL AND IT ARRIVED ON HIS BIRTHDAY. WAY TO GO ASHLEIGH. THANKS TO THOSE WHO EMAILED OR CALLED TO WISH ROBBIE A HAPPY BIRTHDAY IT MEANS A LOT TO US. WE LOVE YOU ALL. THE PICTURES OF THE SNOW IS WHAT MADE IT ONTO THE COVERED PORCH. IT IS SO CRAZY.
This week has been eventful. My mom has been here since Wednesday. She is helping unpack, which has been put on hold today do to the weather. We don't want any of the cardboard boxes getting wet. It is still snowing. I can't believe the weather here. We have a spare bed now for any visitors. It is brand new. We have also got ourselves a new kitchen table, new love seat for the basement, and two new t.v.'s. It is fun buying new things but very stressful not to mention expensive. I hate finding the "right" thing. In our case it had to fit in the certain rooms so you had limited options. The house is coming together slowly, we went out to the storage unit today and thought what are we going to do with all of this stuff. We have not had it for so long it is hard for me to get motivated and do something about it. I don't even know if I want it out in the new house. Kennen got his CDL yea! one thing marked off our to-do list. Sid is doing well, just getting big and upset that his birthday is not by Halloween like Robbies. He keeps asking if we can change it so that he can have a Halloween birthday too. As for myself I am doing well. I am enjoying YW's, play group (which I am now in charge of) and I love the people here. Everyone here is so nice and willing to help at a drop of a pin. I went to a party the other night and had so much fun just hanging out and talking with the other women of the ward. We have had many invites over for dinner which is nice so that we get to meet new people. I hope all is well with everyone who reads this. We are doing AMAZING. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBBIE!!!!

Our House

Okay this is my attempt at taking pictures of the inside of our house. I keep getting asked what it looks like so here it is. As you can see we are not moved in yet. We are trying and we do a little each day. The kitchen took me a week. I am now working on the bedrooms, instead of just putting clothes away I am washing everything. I can't stand the thought of them being in boxes in a mouse infested house so I have to wash them before I put them away. I know a little crazy.

The boys are doing well. They are doing much better since we have been here at our own house. Yea!!! Sid is sleeping through the night and everyone is feeling better. Robbie loves the fact that he can go out and ride his bike around. The funny thing is Sid is not far behind. Poor Robbie has a shadow. It is cute and Robbie is very good with Sid. In the upstairs of our house we have 3 bedrooms, we asked Robbie if he wanted his own room and he said no he wanted to share with Sid still.

Kennen has been gone since 3 am. He and his boss had to go to Montana to fix a truck. They went there on Friday as well and didn't get it done do to the fact they didn't have all of the parts.

I hope this finds everyone well. Have a great week. Okay I can't move the pictures around. Sorry.

We have a house!!!!

We have a house. We are so very excited. We closed Friday Sept. 26,2008. We are moving our stuff in slowly so that we can clean it as we go. We have to pay rent until the middle of Oct. and our storage unit is rented until Halloween. So we don't need to be in a hurry. The boys are excited to be in there own place. Sid has actually slept through the night both nights we have slept here it has been wonderful. Both boys love the big dirt piles to play on.
Both Kennen and I are excited to actually do things. As we speak he is down in the basement scraping cement off of the metal beams. It is something to do. Yesterday I got to buy a washer and dryer. YEA!!!! The other ones we had we bought when we got married 11 years ago and the washer was leaking. I did not want to put a leaking washer in our new house. The old house was fine because it was a cement floor. Here it is not cement so it would ruin the floor.
I don't have recent pictures do to the fact that I just haven't taken any so when I do I will post them.
WE ARE OUT OF THE MOUSE HOUSE. That is the best part about it all.
Robbie was funny the other day. He came up to us as we were putting things away and said "I have moved twice in two months that is a lot and probably more than anyone else." We reassured him that there are people who move all the time maybe not that close together but they move.
I hope this finds you all well and have a great week. I need to go unpack the van.

A new adventure

We had a first this week. Sid cut his own hair. It is lovely. I was going to shave it off so that he would learn a lesson and Kennen told me to leave it alone no one will notice. He says only moms notice those kind of things.
We went to a new store here in Casper it is amazing it is called Menard's. It took us 2 days to go through the store.
We are closing on our house this coming Friday Sept. 26. We are very excited. We get to start moving in that day. YEA!!!!!!
Robbie got his school pictures back. They are very good pictures of him. He is doing well in school and he says he is making some friends.
We are all doing well. We are glad that we have moved here to experience life out of Utah. It really is a way different thing.
I am putting up a picture of Sid's haircut. It is handsome. NOT. I got the picture finally loaded it is the very last picture on the right hand side. Enjoy!!!!

A week of Remembrance

Hello to you all, we have had an interesting week. My family came last weekend to spend time with us. We had a good time and went to many museums and did a lot of swimming. The boys loved having the cousins here to play. Sid keeps asking us when Drew is coming back here to play.

On Tuesday I received a phone call from the school nurse saying Robbie had fallen off of one of the playground equipment and hurt his face pretty bad. I asked her if I should come and get him and she told me no that she somewhat got the bleeding to stop and put an ice pack on it cause it was swollen. So, being the mom that I am I finished taking Sid to school and went and picked up Robbie. I gave him some tylenol and an ice pack and we hung out at home laying down.

Thursday night the boys were up sick all night. Sid had gotten the flu and was throwing up all night and Robbie was coughing and couldn't breath. So I ended up with both kids home sick on Friday. By Friday night they were all feeling better (so they said). We ended up going to our ward party which was held at Fort Caspar Park. It was a dutch oven cook out and they had the cub scout raingutter regatta. Robbie's boat did really well. He recieved an award which he thought was pretty cool. By the time we got home Sid was throwing up again and running a fever.

This weekend here in Casper they had the Vetnam War Memorial (the healing wall). It was amazing. We went today to the Closing Ceremony. In the world that we live in today it was an amazing sight. You walked up to it and the emotions were overwhelming. At the closing ceremony I don't think anyone there was able to recite the Pledge all the way through. There was many tears flowing. They did a 21 gun salute, taps and then a cannon went off. If any of you are able to go somewhere to see that I suggest you take the opportunity and do so. The names on the wall are many. I can't even describe the feeling of standing there. I was overwhelmed and this was only the traveling wall I can't even imagine seeing the real wall.

As for our family we are doing well. Kennen is working long hours this last week he started his days at 5 am and didn't get home some nights until 11 pm. The boys are getting used to having mom around and have figured out that mom is a push over. We go out for shakes and cokes, sometimes we go out to eat.

Robbie is getting friends at school and is doing well. Sid loves going to preschool. He asks me "mom what do you think we will do today maybe we do jumpin jacks or something" it is super cute.

As for myself I am doing well. I am so very ready to be in our own house. I am ready for my stuff and I am ready to decorate and make it feel like home. The weather is changing here. We have a saying "if you don't like the weather wait 10 minutes and you might" I have some amazing pictures of the wall so I hope you look at the pictures. If you want more email me or let me know threw the blog. Love you all and take care.

Mount Rushmore

We made it to Mount Rushmore. It was so super pretty. The boys had a great time. The response to the car ride was amazing. "mom that wasn't to long" I think they are getting used to being in a car. It took us about 31/2 hours from Casper to Mount Rushmore. For Wyoming that is not a bad drive. Sid keeps asking us when we are going to go see the pretty mountain again. I took some amazing pictures so I hope you look at the slideshow (I finally figured out how to do one)
This weekend Shad, Jenny, Drew, Emma and my mom are here in Casper. They didn't like the drive here, so we need to make the visit worthwhile. I think they will like Casper when they see it during the day. The boys are super excited to have them all here.
We are all doing well. Robbie went on his first field trip this last week. He enjoyed that. Sid started school and is doing much better than I thought he would. It takes me a couple of minutes to get him settled down in the classroom then he does just fine.
Our house is coming along nicely. We have a garage and they have been working on the inside of the house this past week as well. They still are saying we will be in the first of October. We are so very excited about that.
The weather here has turned and it is cold. When you wake up and there is frost on the roof tops you know it is cold. The last couple of nights it has rained all night. I like the rain if it is a nice spring warm rain not a cold rain coming from the side. When the family showed up I think they thought I was joking that it was cold. We get to go and buy jackets for them today. Silly kids.
We hope this finds you all well. I will write more later.

Memories of me!

I'm not sure who will actually do this--but I hope you do. It's fun to think of past good times, or bad for that matter. I guess it makes us who we are. So, humor me, and leave a memory. It doesn't have to be a big, fabulous memory, sometimes the little ones are even better--just a memory. Here are the directions:1. As a comment on this post, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments. Just let me know which you prefer.I can't wait to see what you write!

The last day of August

Hello, we hope this finds all well. Today is Sunday that seems to be the day that I can update everyone on how we are doing.
Today I was the only one who went to church. Robbie started throwing up when he woke up this morning so Kennen and Sid stayed home with him. The only reason I went was because I had to teach a lesson in Young Womens. I am greatful that is over with for a while. I only have to teach when there is a 5th Sunday which don't happen all that often.
Robbie is doing good in school, he has started cursive and is struggling with that. The teacher stopped me on Friday and she gave me the book to bring home so that he could practice here. He is doing better with it but gets frustrated because he can't connect the letters. He does well if the letters are seperated but has a hard time putting them together. He has started playing with some of the boys at recess and he says they are nice. I ask if they are friends and he keeps telling me that not yet mom I have to check out everyone. It is pretty funny. But I am greatful that he is making sure that he doesn't have bad friends. Robbie LOVES his scout group and his leader is adorable. She says he is doing well in there and it is fun to watch the boys interact with each other.
Sid will be starting pre-school on Tuesday. He will be attending the child development center of Natrona county. They will work with him on his speech as well. We put him in the afternoon class so he will go to school from 12:30 -3:00pm that will give me enough time to make the 20 minute drive back to pick Robbie up from school at 3:30pm. Sid still loves the play group. He has some really cute friends that he always wants to go and play with. He asks all the time can we go to Jeanettes house mom so that me can play with Lindsey and Jackson. It is cute. This morning he woke up and told Kennen and I that it is almost a holy day. We both started laughing and asked a Holy day, we told him yes it is Sunday today. He got mad and yelled no its almost a holy day. Then we realized that he was saying it is almost a holiday. Pretty funny, he is a silly little boy.
Kennen is doing well, we are both going crazy without doing anything and can't wait to get into our house so that we can be doing things. He is planning out all of the landscaping and storage room plans and storage shed stuff already in his cute little head. He is working long hours but he enjoys it. He says that he is learning lots and enjoys that. He is one that loves to learn and try out new things. He still hasn't received a calling in the ward but says that is okay. He is the one that usually has had the "big" callings and I don't so he says that it is okay that the rolls have been reversed. He enjoys going to church and listening.
As for myself, I am doing very well. I have had an extremely positive experience here. The ladies are wonderful and so are the men. I love going to the activities and participating in them. I had Kennen go with me yesterday to Home Depot to buy a lawn mower because I have finally got the lawn green here(okay only the front, I will not step foot in the backyard do to all of the dog poop). I cut a lawn for the first time in a month it was so nice to be doing some yard work. We are still living out of boxes because I am not unpacking then packing again in a month. which has been an interesting experience. We all feel as if we are camping, all the time. Okay, so I taught my first lesson today. SCAREY So there is a reason that I did not become a teacher or anything to do with getting up infront of other people. I do not do it well at all. I really stink at it to be honest. Hopefully one day I won't be a nervous wreck and blabber all the time. I don't even make sense. It is crazy.
Our house is up, they did run into a little problem so we are on hold mode. They poured the foundation for the house and the garage together. They put the house on the foundation and put a window for the front room in and put it so that it is between the inside of the garage and the outside. So now they have to move the window and redo the inside wall and outside wall because they have to close that hole and make a new one. They are still saying we will be in by the first of October. There is a new picture of the house on this page. We love driving by it and watching the new things go up.
We are hoping that you all have a fabulous Labor Day weekend. As for us we are going to try and go to Mt. Rushmore that is if Robbie begins to feel better. If we go I will be sure to take lots of pictures so that you all can see our adventures. We love you all and hope this finds everyone well.
Just remember "It is all good" If any of you want to come and visit we would love to see you. We do have new phone numbers so email me or mail me something and I will give you our new phone numbers. Have a great day and talk with you soon.

How are we?

well hello all, I thought that I would update everyone about what we have been up to.
Robbie's first week of school is over and he is doing okay. I spoke with his teacher and he seems to be okay she said that there is one girl that keeps calling him names but other than that he seems to be adjusting. He loves scouts and has made friends in there. This past week was pack meeting, they held it up Casper Mtn. It is very pretty up there. They had a fire and dinner and awards it was a very nice evening. Robbie is counting down the days until we are in our own house. He is not the only one.
Sid is Sid. He has decided that he needs to cry every time we leave a place. Which is funny cause most of the time he doesn't want to go there in the first place. He and I meet with the preschool this wednesday about starting there and also for his speech. He doesn't want to start school "me am still to little" We had another first today with him, he went to primary today. He loved going to the play group last week so we are planning on attending again this week.
Kennen really enjoys his new job, That is very nice for all of us. He really likes Casper and this ward. This ward here is amazing. We have really enjoyed it the last month. The people are fun and very nice. There are some people from our last ward that was amazing as well and we miss them a ton.
As for myself. I went to young womens today, okay it wasn't bad. The sisters were very nice and the girls are cute, fun and participated it was neat to see them. The program is very small today there were 5 girls. They say the most is about 9 girls. I also enjoyed the play group and I have a visiting teaching route and those sisters have been very nice and helpful to me. I call them up on a regular basis and ask how do I get here or were is this located. This week I have been invited to a scrapbook party, Ice cream social, play group and we are going visiting teaching. They do a ton together, and they don't exclude anyone. The ward is little.
I hope this is a good update since I am new to all of this. There are some probably wondering why we are in Casper. Kennen was offered a new job here the first of July and we were gone by July 28. It was very fast yet we both knew that it was the right thing. Our house sold within 2 days of putting it up on the market and we came here and found us a house okay not quite a house but a lot and the floor plan of a house. It is in the process of being built. We are all excited for a new house and one that is our own. Robbie is wanting his own bedroom and he has all of the plans for the decorating already so when we move in he can get it done. He keeps telling us that we have to have a room for Bec cause she keeps saying that she is moving up here with us. So we are planning on a room in the basement.
We hope all is well with everyone. Remember it is all good.
Love you all.

Cute boys. This is a fun place to eat here in Casper. The boys love going there.

Casper Wyoming

Hello from Casper. All is going well here. Robbie started school on Monday and still hasn't made any friends. That breaks my heart. Sid will be starting preschool soon so I will be home alone for a couple of hours a day.

Kennen is loving his job. He works long hours and that is a big adjustment for the boys and I.

We have a foundation. YEAH!!!!! Hopefully we don't have to be in this stinky mouse infested house much longer.

I was just called as the YW secretary and camp director. I am not so sure about working with girls. I like the boys and scouting so this will be a huge adjustment.

We hope this finds all well. when I get time I will post pictures. as of right now I need to go get breakfast for the boys so that we can get them off to school.
