Sick, Sun, Snow the three S's

What a week. Robbie spent yet another week home being sick. He went to school on Monday and they called me to come and get him. He has a rash they say and he can't come back until it is all gone. "Fine" Kennen and I both say at this point we are about over the school thing. So we went and got him. Monday after school Kennen was meeting up with his scouts to do a service project. Tuesday I took both boys to the doctor. Robbie for the rash and Sid for a terrible cough and fever. Robbie has a skin infection (he starts steroids and cream and antibiotics again) Sid now has the bronchitis (he gets on antibiotics). So far the week seems pretty much the same as last. Sick kids.

The sun did decide to bless us with its presence this week at least until Thursday afternoon. Robbie went back to school on Thursday and Sid and I headed to play group at the park. Had to get Vitamin D somehow why not playing at the park. Thursday afternoon the weather started changing. It began to rain.

Friday it continued to rain and then huge snowflakes started falling from the dark dreary sky. The snow turned to what felt like freezing rain hitting your face as you walked in it. Friday we had Sid's parent teacher conferences. He is doing well with the social aspect of it all, not so well with the other stuff. They want him to attend summer school. (how funny is that a pre-schooler in summer school). After parent teacher conferences Tammy and I took the boys to lunch then to the mall to play in the little play area there.

Saturday, was cold and wet. We didn't do much hung out at home. That evening we went over to Jeannettes and had dessert. It was so yummy. The kids have a blast playing together and the 4 adults have fun just talking. Thanks Berg family.

Today is Sunday, there is 4 inches of snow outside on the ground. Got pictures of it. So enjoy wherever you are.

Hope you all have had a wonderful week. Hope this next week is fabulous and healthy for you all.

A sick week...

This week has been a "sick" week. Robbie spent 3 days home from school with bronchitis. It has been an adventure. I did finally find a pediatrician that was accepting new patients so that was the highlight of my week.

Friday, is our house cleaning day. So this Friday was the same, even though I had sick kids and all. I even did sheets wow!!! I started at 9 am and the last load and sheets finally on the bed at 10 pm that night. What a crazy, crazy cleaning day.

Sunday, was nice outside (finally). We went to church inspite of the sunshine. (have you ever wondered why the only day of sunshine has to be on Sunday? Is the Lord tempting us? Is he saying to us will you make the right choice?) At least that is how I felt yesterday. It was like sunshine and we "get" to go to church and sit in a building for 3 hours. We did it and were glad. Kennen and I are learning about geneology in our Sunday school class. It is rather interesting.

After church, Kennen informed me that his Home teaching companion and his family would be coming to our house for dessert. oh, he says and all of our families we go teaching. So home we come and make a delish chocolate cake and a pan of brownies. They arrive at 7pm and we have a quick lesson and a good time chatting. Thanks Marshall family and Johnson family for coming to our house and sharing a Sunday evening.

Hope you all have a wonderful week. Hope the sunshines wherever you are. :)

HAPPY EASTER!!!!

Happy Easter to you all, we hope that this holiday has been a good one for you. At this time we have been pondering the holiday and are very greatful for the resurrection and the atonment of our Saviour. I am thankful for all the Saviour did for me, that he died so that I may live again. No matter what I am always forgiven if I ask. I honestly am touched that as Jesus was hung on the cross that our very own Father had to turn away for he was hurting so much to see his own son in so much pain. He never left just hid his head for a short while. Do you wonder if the Savior bows his head when we are hurting or doing something stupid? Just a question....

I don't know about the weather anywhere else, but I sure know that here in Wyoming it is so not Spring like yet. I am ready for the flowers to start showing there sleeping heads and the trees to adorn their branches with flowers then leaves.

The boys are doing well. All three of them. As for myself I am on the mend I hope. My arm is getting better (thanks to the second trip to the ER).
This Saturday, I had a scout training that I did. (yippy, I love being a trainer) and then we went to one of our friends house for an Easter party for the kids. Thanks Lyndi, you are super awesome.

Here is a quote by Elder Ballard that goes a long with my first paragraph:

Elder Ballard "...he had the power to save, and he loved his Son, and he could have saved him. He might have rescued him from the insult of the crowds. He might have rescued him when the crown of thorns was placed upon his head. He might have rescued him when the Son, hanging between the two thieves, was mocked with, “Save thyself, and come down from the cross. He saved others; himself he cannot save.” He listened to all this. He saw that Son condemned; he saw him drag the cross through the streets of Jerusalem and faint under its load. He saw that Son finally upon Calvary; he saw his body stretched out upon the wooden cross; he saw the cruel nails driven through hands and feet, and the blows that broke the skin, tore the flesh, and let out the life’s blood of his Son. He looked upon that.
In the case of our Father, the knife was not stayed, but it fell, and the life’s blood of his Beloved Son went out. His Father looked on with great grief and agony over his Beloved Son, until there seems to have come a moment when even our Savior cried out in despair: “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?”
In that hour I think I can see our dear Father behind the veil looking upon these dying struggles until even he could not endure it any longer; and, like the mother who bids farewell to her dying child, has to be taken out of the room, so as not to look upon the last struggles, so he bowed his head, and hid in some part of his universe, his great heart almost breaking for the love that he had for his Son. Oh, in that moment when he might have saved his Son, I thank him and praise him that he did not fail us, for he had not only the love of his Son in mind, but he also had love for us. I rejoice that he did not interfere, and that his love for us made it possible for him to endure to look upon the sufferings of his Son and give him finally to us, our Savior and our Redeemer."
Thanks Becca for the quote...

Hope you all have a very happy week. We love you all....

A BROKEN WRIST

Look how fat.....
okay so here is my story, you all don't usually get to see pictures of me. Here you go. I was helping with penny wars at Robbie school and Sid and I were on our way to the bank. There was a little slush falling from the sky, no big deal. We get to th bank....

(nice thumb) and I carry in the first batch of pennies go back to the car get the rest of them, get into the bank and slide......

pennies everywhere, I hit a sign with me shoulder, must have tried to catch my self with my left hand. Everyone just sat and watched. No one offered to help pick up the pennies or me. I am in severe pain. I finish up at the bank go back to the school and add the numbers so the classes know who won. Got that all done, brought the boys home from school and I sit down and start crying, my ankle hurts, I cant movie my hand or fingers and I cant lift my arm up. What a mess, I am meeting Kennen at 5 so we go there and do our stuff then back home we come. I had dinner in the crockpot so we ate. It is 6:30pm and I can't stand the pain anymore so off to the ER I go. come to find out, I broke the wrist, sprained the ankle and pulled the AC muscle in the shoulder. The ER doctor says, next stop Ortho. Clinic......GO ME!!!!!
