Stick a fork in, cause we are done...

What a week it has been...

I ended back up at the Doctors on Tuesday. They had to drain some of the fluid out of my neck, they also cut into my face right under my left eye. The doctor noticed something there that actually just came about 2 weeks ago and he didn't like the looks of it. So, it is now gone as well.

Wednesday was a much better day... can't remember what happened other than there was no doctors involved.

Thursday was a super busy crazy day. It started out going to playgroup, to getting Sid lunch on the run, to taking him to school, to driving to a friends house to check on her and the sick baby (called her when she never came to playgroup) to going back to pick up Sid, coming to get Robbie, doing homework, back to Sid's school by 5, dinner at McDonald's, then home for bed. Man, what a crazy day.... Sid had fun at the school carnival that night. I forgot the camera, yes I am getting to be very forgetful with it. I used to be so good.. Don't know what has happened.

Friday, I awoken and took a shower... Blood was coming out of my ear. I called the doctor yet again. I went in, there is a cut in my ear and he had no idea how it got there. But also my ears are way yuck, so now I am waiting for a call from the ENT to get tubes put in. (I thought only kids had this done) It has been an adventure. Thanks Tiffany for taking Sid for me so I could go to the Doctors. You are AWESOME.

After all of this on Friday, I get to the school to pick up Robbie. He is one of the first ones out. This is not normal. He gets in the car and he is crying. I ask what is wrong and he removes his hood and reveals a swollen face. He was pushed into the brick wall at school. I wish they would have called. The poor kid was hurting with a terrible headache. They told him it was not bad enough. I really wish I knew what then was bad. Cause anytime a child is hurting, I think the parents need to be informed. If for anything just to bring a motrin or a tylenol.

Saturday was our do nothing day... YIPPY!!! The boys and I just hung out watching movies all day... LOVED IT!!!

The pictures today are random... Some are from our trip as a family to the science zone, and there is finally a picture of Robbie's second place ribbon from the science fair.

Sorry that the blog is a commentary of the week.. This is my journal and it is the only thing that records what has happened to us. Love ya all!!!

Snow, snow, snow...please go away

Snow, snow, snow.... That has been what we have seen falling from the sky since Wednesday night. I should not complain though cause we do need the water. It just stinks since the week before the temps were in the 40's high 40's and it was nice. Mother nature was teasing with us, glad she has a sense of humor.

This week has been an alright week... We got to help celebrate Kennen's birthday on Thursday and that same night we had our cub scout blue and gold banquet. But... being the looser I am I forgot the camera, okay it was sitting out but I had to remember the 75 cakes I made, chips, awards, frosting, plates, popsicle sticks (to decorate the cakes with) and a few other things.. So really the camera was the least of my worries. Thankfully one of my friends had hers and took some pictures of Robbie so when I get them I will share. Robbie received 5 awards and 2 belt loops. YIPPY!!! Everyone there (more than 75) sang Happy Birthday to Kennen. It was an alright evening. (other than the boiled hotdogs) I got some awesome news that night.. (going to tease you until March 6 when I find out more then I will announce, nope not prego, has to do with scouts)

At our house this week the books have been cracked open and The 39 Clues have been read.. It is a bummer that book 8 doesn't come out for another 43 days... I guess I will just have to wait and be patient about it. Kennen and I are really enjoying them.

Sid is doing well.. getting way too big, had to go again and buy some more clothes.. Will the growing spurt ever end??? And he is cutting molars, so his little mouth has been sore.

Other than that nothing is going on here... okay, lied thought I was going to be getting a phone call from child services. Sid walks into his classroom and says. "look Miss Kay" "oh what happened Sid?" "I have a hole in my head" "I see that, how did that happen?" "my brother shot me with a bb gun" "did you learn anything from getting shot?" " I learnded it hurted" "did you learn anything else?" "hmmm, nope just that it hurted" "how about not playing with guns and shooting each other?" "nope still like to play with guns and still like to shoot at each other, me and Robbie know it hurted now though" "well you really shouldn't shoot at each other" "oh Miss Kay it is okay if we shoot each other, it just hurted for a minute" So at this point Miss Kay turns and gives me the what for look and I said it wasn't a bb gun it was an air soft gun and they know they should not shoot each other until we get protective head gear so they won't get shot in the eye. Didn't go over so hot.. Wish little monkey didn't talk so much. hehehe Then the next day he walks in and says "I really don't need to wash my hands cause the soap will just make them dirty" What a kid....

Hope you all have a great one... Love ya!

Today is my sweethearts birthday... I am so thankful for Kennen and all he does for me and our two boys. He is the BEST husband and dad.

I am thankful for his love and his support. I am thankful for the best friend he is. I am thankful that he believes in me and trusts me to raise our two boys.
I LOVE him so very much and am so thankful that we have been able to be together for a little over 13 years. On Feb. 22, 1997 this wonderful man asked me to marry him... YIPPY!!!!

I am thankful that Kennen has the fun personality that he does, I am thankful that he is also level headed cause I am not. I am thankful for his thought out planning and consideration of every little thing he does.

I am thankful that he is willing to serve our Lord and those around him. I am thankful for the time he takes to help the youth of our ward as a scout leader. I am thankful that he is a worthy priesthood holder and holds that very dear to his heart.

I am thankful for the time he takes teaching our boys and showing them the proper way to treat a girl and talk to them. I am thankful he is showing the boys how to lead and guide their families.

MONSTER TRUCKS!!!!

We went to the MONSTER TRUCKS.... We had a great time, a lot different than the monster trucks in Utah.. The area is not as big here, but all the same it was fun. We were able to spend the evening the Berg family. Thanks for going with us.

All of the pictures this time is from Saturday night Monster Trucks...

Other happenings of this week.... As most of you know I had a lump removed from my neck. I have a nice 2 inch incision with a lot of stitches right now. The neck has gone some pretty shades of purple, yellow and green. We are still waiting to hear from the biopsy, but I feel well. Other than that we have not done anything, do to my lack of energy. Sid and I hung out most of the week watching movies, he kept asking when school was cause I think he was tired of laying with me. hehehe

The boys are growing and getting big, we have to keep buying pants, shoes and underwear. I keep asking why are those things so expensive.... Oh well, that is part of growing boys. OH and they eat like there is not enough food in the house, really???? I am thankful for the two boys we have but I don't know how anybody can do more than 2 boys. You were truly all blessed raising more than 2 cause the 2 we have are going to break the bank by the time they are raised.

Another update.....ROBBIE TOOK 2ND PLACE IN THE SCIENCE FAIR...... Congratulations to him... I will post pictures of the ribbon at a later date, honestly didn't think of taking a picture of the ribbon until right now.

We also can't leave out that today is Valentines day, so Happy LOVE day to you all. We hope that you have a wonderful day today. Check back this week later cause there will be another entry for my sweethearts birthday.... hehehe

Love you all!

Books, books and more books

This week has been very uneventful. Nothing new or exciting.

So I am going to tell you about the books we are reading. LOVE them. Robbie's school does reading by lexile (stupid) so twice a week he gets homework that is called Reading and Respond. It is like a book report twice a week. The catch is this... The book has to be in the lexile range and the book can not be a movie. So go find a book that fits both that is appropriate for a 10 year old to read. His lexile range is in the 7-8 grade level. He is not ready to read stuff like that, He is 10.... So I go on a book search to meet this criteria I find two different series. I buy the first book in each. One, I find out comes out in a movie within the next couple of weeks. Percy Jackson and the Olympian. Very good book. (on order the remainder of the series) The other books are called The 39 Clues (yes I know it should be underlined but not smart enough to know how to do that) These are way awesome books. Like I said I bought the first one, had to go buy the second one, borrowed from the library third and fourth ones. (got 7 of these on order) I need to slow down reading them. They are very well written and way enjoyable to read. So if any of you want to check these books out they are way good. Our entire family would recommend them.

Sid keeps asking why he doesn't get new books. We respond to such a question with this response. We have 4 bookshelves full of books that you can read and none that Robbie can do his homework on.

The weather here has been wonderful, in the 40's. It has been a good week, nothing exciting just the same old stuff. School and home. We hope you all have a wonderful week.
