Spiritually Fed Wednesday

This song is one of my favorite songs.... so I am going to share

"I like to look for rainbows whenever there is rain And ponder on the beauty of an earth made clean again.

I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain. I want to be the BEST I can and live with God again.

I know when I am baptized my wrongs are washed away, And I can be forgiven and improve myself each day.

I want my life to be as clean as earth right after rain. I want to be the BEST I can and live with God again."

Hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week. Loves and hugs from Casper

It's been a week.. Sid and I did storytime on Monday, that was fun.. Both boys were out of school on Monday so we got to play in the yard together and that evening we even went to a sit down dinner. (no fast food) :)

Thursday I had tubes put in my ears.. Haven't felt well since, I go back on Monday morning to see what is going on with them.. My face is infected again and I go to the doctor on Thursday for that.

Thursday night was pack meeting.. Robbie got 3 pins so congrats to him.. and the rest of pack meeting was something....

Friday Robbie received an award at school for keeping on task and helping others. very very proud of him.

Saturday the boys and I went to the scout o rama.. had a fun time making rockets and stuff.

Spiritually Fed Wednesday

I'LL FOLLOW HIM IN FAITH

The Lord has blessed me with gospel truth. I have learned His ways in my early youth. I will share my light for I know it's right To testify of Him. The Lord has blessed me with simple faith. If I pray for help, He will give me strength. I will do His work. I will gladly serve. I'll follow Him in faith.

The Lord has blessed me to feel His love. I have felt His promptings and learned to trust. So in all I do, I'll be faithful to The things I know are true. The Lord has blessed me in many ways. With a thankful heart I will sing His praise. I will raise my voice and proclaim my choice To follow Him in faith. He has shown the way, and through all my days, I'll follow Him in faith.

this song is by Janice Kapp Perry

"Faith in God includes faith in His purposes as well as in His timing. We cannot fully accept Him while rejecting His schedule. We cannot worship Him but insist on our plans." Believe, p. 84

"The acceptance of the reality that we are in the Lord's loving hands is only a recognition that we have never really been anywhere else." small moment, p. 89

While faith is not a perfect knowledge, it brings a deep trust in God, whose knowledge is perfect! Otherwise, one's small database of personal experience permits so few useful generalizations! But by searching the holy scriptures, we access a vast, divine data bank, a reservoir of rememberance. In this way, the scriptures can, as the Book of Mormon says, enlarge the memory.

I am so thankful for my faith in our Heavenly Father and his plan for me. I know the picture I see is only a tiny tiny piece of a big puzzle. I have to remember that always so that I may continue with the work that I need to be doing. I and every one else is also a piece of a puzzle in someone elses lives. Which piece are we going to add today??

Happy Wednesday and may your Faith grow in abundance as you go about your daily activities.

Also... Happy Birthday to our dear friend Lyndi..

yard work!!

these boxes will be our flower beds.. still in need of dirt and flowers but we are getting there, building them is half the battle.

Kennen tilling the garden spot. The area he is tilling is for the squash

The weather has been very nice... so..... yard work here we come.

Sid and I fertilized the back yard and watered it way good... now it is need of a cut.

Then the entire family got into the action of moving dirt, tilling the garden spots, and making new flower beds.

Kennen also fixed the back gate that has been not working right since the people installed the fence.

Thank goodness for nice weather and little wind.

I do have to say however that while we lived in Utah it took 10 years to get all the yard work and stuff done so we could enjoy it. Now we get to start all over again and it is a pain. I like being outside and playing not working so hard. I just have to remember that it will get done and then we will be able to sit back in the back yard and enjoy all of our hard work.

Hope you have a wonderful week..

Spiritually Fed Wednesday

Today this topic is very dear to my heart... I have learned a different side of this topic lately and I am very thankful for that opportunity. (okay I went kicking and screaming the entire way)

Service..... Jesus said, "I am among you as he that serveth". As true followers of Jesus, we also must serve others.

Service is helping others who need assistance. Christlike service grows out of genuine love for the Savior and of love and concern for those whom He gives us opportunities and direction to help. Love is more than a feeling; when we love others, we want to help them.

Through the service of men and women and boys and girls, God's work is done. President Spencer W. Kimball explained: "God does notice us, and He watches over us. But it is usually through another person that He meets our needs"

"when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God...." "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord"

I have found that service is a wonderful wonderful thing.. I love giving service and those who know me and my family well know this probably all to well.. The last month I have been on the other end of the stick.. I am extremely grateful for those who have had that spirit with them to call and even when I said no I will be fine still came by and took care of me and my family. I have gained such a strong testimony of this and am so grateful for the opportunity that I have had to be apart of service.

I know things happen for a reason... I think my trials have come to help me be humble to accept these acts of kindness..

I love you all and I am here for each and everyone of you and I pray everyday that I may be lead by the spirit and that I may listen to the promptings of the spirit and follow through with those promptings.

I know many of my friends read this but one knows why I write my wednesday blogs.. So.. I have prayed and thought and prayed some more and I know that this is what needed to be said today so I am following that prompting.. And for that one that knows I don't cry very often or easily... I did while typing this post.. Love ya!!

Our first fire!!!!

We had our first fire on Saturday night.. The weather was perfect. The boys played around chasing each other, Kennen was doing digging and I sat and enjoyed the entire picture. I am so excited for Spring and Summer to arrive here in Casper.

Yesterday the boys and I went to watch Hayley play soccer and it was nice to enjoy the outdoors. Like I said perfect weather, hardly no wind and only sweatshirts worn.

Our week has been alright I suppose, I should have also taken a picture of the basement. It is CLEAN. The boys got all of their toys taken away, some made their way to the garbage and some made it to the locked up storage room. I know I am a mean mom.. What can I say???

That is about our week, nothing exciting going on here. Okay I lied... right now I am on more medication that anyone I know. 6 for my ears 2 of which are steroids. 1 for my face cause it doesn't want to heal then my reg. med for my stomach. it is freaking out of control. This time to shall pass, and I will be extremely grateful when this roller coaster ride ends and I can get onto a different ride. Although it has been an adventure on this current ride and I have learned a lot.

Hope you all have a wonderful week. Love and hugs.

Jesus Said Love Everyone

Jesus said love everyone;
Treat them kindly, too.
When your heart is filled with love,
Others will love you.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. John 13:34

I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heave.... Matthew 5:44-44

Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter to you all!! We have had a wonderful day. We spent it with our "family" here in Casper. We made a ham, potatoes, corn, bread and cupcakes and we all ate and ate and ate. Thanks Jeannette for letting us spend the day with you and your family "our other family" The kids had an egg hunt and we watched conference. What a GREAT Sunday.

We hope that you all had a wonderful day..

The week in review is simple this week.. I put new drapes in the front room.. My face got infected again (incision site) so had to go get an antibiotic shot. We just hung out.. It snowed and the wind blew.. Kennen drove to Montana for the day to work on one of the worst days of the week (weather wise). On one of the decent days Kennen worked on our garden spot. He has made 4 raised spots and a huge spot for pumpkin and zucchini and a big sandbox for the boys. I can't wait to be able to plant and hopefully have a wonderful garden.

I will be posting a slideshow of a lot of pictures from Easter egg hunts to quilts to garden boxes.. Hope you enjoy.. Love you all
