Spiritually Fed Wednesday

Let me start of by saying sorry I missed last weeks post. Life seems to be crazy and out of control. But I am loving every minute of it.

This week I am doing a song, a song that has weighed heavily on my mind and it has an automatic play everytime I am doing something.

HAVE I DONE ANY GOOD?

Have I done any good in the world today? Have I helped anyone in need? Have I cheered up the sad and made someone feel glad? If not, I have failed indeed. Has anyone's burden been lighter today because I was willing to share? Have the sick and the weary been helped on their way? when they needed my help was I there?

Then wake up and do something more than dream of your mansion above. Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure, A blessing of duty and love.

There are chances for work all around just now, Opportunities right in our way. Do not let them pass by, saying, "sometime I'll try," But go and do something today. 'Tis noble of man to work and to give; Love's labor has merit alone. Only he who does something helps others to live. To God each good work will be known.

Then wake up and do something more than dream of your mansion above. Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure, A blessing of duty and love.

I pray that I can go out and do "good in the world" and that it will put a smile on someones face and love in their heart. Hope you all have a wonderful week.

where are we????

We have been crazy busy but having so much fun...

Christina and her boys came and spent the week with us last week. It rained and rained and rained, but that didn't stop us from playing. We went to Rushmore, got a motel, swam, made lots of cookies and on Friday Mary Ann and her 3 kids came. I ended up in the ER with Robbie. The basketball standard fell over on top of him, smashed his hand, hit his forehead and the back of his head hit the cement. It was joyous.

We have started our Museum adventure passport for the year and have hit 2 so far. We cleaned the basement got rid of toys, clothes.. WOW!!!!

We have 4 walls up on the storage shed YIPPEE!!!! (we did this today 6/20/10)

We drove to Cheyenne and spent the day this last Tuesday.

The boys and I have spent lots of time at the parks, having water fights and playing around. I sure do love hanging out with the boys. It truly is the best thing ever.

I can't believe that it is almost the end of June.. How crazy is that?

Today is Father's Day, Happy Father's Day to all of the men out there. Thank you to my dad for raising me the way he did and being such a wonderful example to me. Thank you to my dear sweet husband. He is such a wonderful example to our boys and me. He does so many wonderful things for us. We love you honey. Pop, happy fathers day to you and thanks for teaching Kennen so many wonderful things. Grandpa Hansen thank you for teaching me hard work and to all of the other's out there THANK YOU!!!

Spiritually Fed Wednesday

I just have to say, that I love love love Joseph Smith. What Faith that boy/man had. How many of us would be as diligent in our seeking at such a young age? How many of us would beable to bear all that he did from the time in the grove of trees to his death? all of it for religion?

Just a couple of questions to ponder on this beautiful day.

I have been reading and studying Joseph Smith I love the Joseph Smith-History. I am going to do some scripture's today.

"But, exerting all my powers to call upon God to deliver me out of the power of this enemy which had seized upon me, and at the very moment when I was ready to sink into despair and abandon myself to destruction--not to an imaginary ruin, but to the power of some actual being from the unseen world, who had such marvelous power as I had never before felt in any being--just at this moment of great alarm, I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me. It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me I saw two Personages, whose brightness and glory defy all description, standing above me in the air. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, point to the other-- "This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!"" JSH 1:16-17

I love that Joseph was so willing to seek out the true church. I love that he obeyed and was willing to do anything without complaint. He is such a wonderful example to me. As I learn more about him the stronger I become in my own trials. I just always have to remember to seek diligently in prayer, read, and what ever the answer may be like it or not do what has been asked of me.

I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday.. The sun is finally starting to shine here in Casper Wyoming. Love ya!!!

NEBRASKA

Nebraska here we come!!!!

We left Casper at 645 am got to Scottsbluff zoo at 930 am. We did the zoo had a blast. Then we seen signs for Scottsbluff National Monument. AMAZING!!! Then from the top of that you could see Chimney Rock. So we thought hmmm since we are so close lets go see it. So when we spent all the time walking around, learning about that area and bought 3 way cool new books about the Mormon trail and Oregon Trails. Have I ever mentioned my testimony of the pioneers? Every time we go to these new places it grows leaps and bounds. So it took us 25 mins. in the car to get from Scottsbluff National Monument to Chimney Rock took the pioneers 2.5 days. Isn't that amazing????

Chimney Rock... very impressive sight.... Wish you could get closer. But way cool.

Next stop.... Agate National Monument.. Wish I knew then what I know now about there. That way it would be fun. hehehehe

Then it was home again.. got home at 10 pm.. crazy day but way fun.. I love my 3 boys and I love spending time with them. If you would have asked me 2 years ago about visiting Nebraska, South Dakota, Montana, Colorado I would have told you, you were crazy. Now just getting in the car and driving 3 hours is nothing.

Kennen and I were just talking about there are so many things in Utah we never went to cause it was too far. Now we just go, nothing is close to us everything is 2 hours or more away. I can't wait to continue on our pioneer tour, 6th crossing, south pass, rocky ridge and more.... YIPPEE!!!!

And this next week will be awesome! Christina is coming in on Tuesday and off to South Dakota we go.. MT. RUSHMORE here we come...

Spiritually Fed Wednesday

Sorry this is a day late, I am a day behind. Kennen had Tuesday off and so it has thrown me off on days. I hope you will all forgive me.

The Holy Ghost

When Christ was on the earth. He promised he would send The Holy ghost to comfort us, Our true, eternal friend. The Holy Spirit whispers With a still small voice. He testifies of God and Christ and makes our hearts rejoice.

And when we are confirmed By sacred priesthood pow'r. The Holy Ghost is giv'n to us to Guide us every hour. Oh, may I always listen to that still small voice. And with his light I'll do what's right Each time I make a choice.

"But the Comforter which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 14:26

I love the Holy Ghost and am thankful for it's promptings and warnings. I am thankful to have it in my life and to testify to me when things are true. I am thankful for that constant companion to help me and to guide me.

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week. Remember I love each and everyone of you.
