Halloween

We had a fun Halloween that included trunk or treats, pumpkin carving and trick-or-treating

Fulton sporting his cute spider shirt on his visit to the pumpkin patch.

Fulton was an expert at the whole dressing up thing...as you can see with his four different costumes this year.  I mean there were too many Halloween parties to go to and he just couldn't wear the same costume to each event

Trunk or Treat at Mom and Dad's church.  This was the night before my ingrown toenail removal and I was in a good bit of pain hobbling around.

Speaking of ingrown toenail,,,this is what my toe looked like after walking out of the podiatrist the next morning.  Good thing I wore these flip flops or I might have been walking out of the doctors office bare footed.  Luckily, I was able to remove this gigantic bandage the next day.
The stupid toe is just a thorn in my side :(

That night, we (and my funked toe) went to Julie's to celebrate Amy's birthday and for our annual pumpkin carving.  This is definitely one of my favorite things to do around Halloween.

The whole group showing off our carved pumpkins

The next night, on Halloween, we hung out with some friends and their kids and did a little trick-or-treating in a nearby neighborhood.  Is Parker not the cutest little scuba diver you've ever seen?

Andrew wasn't really into pictures that night, but we had to get one quick picture of the Douglass cousins!
Fun times with our family and friends!

Last couple of weeks

The first weekend in October, Mere and Christie (and Huntley) came for a visit.  We shipped Steven off to the beach for a few days (just kidding), so it was just us girls!

We had a great time hanging out, catching up, eating out and watching football.  Everyone else's team won on Saturday, except my beloved Tide :(  Oh well...

Headed out for a fun day of shopping and eating

A few weeks later, we went to the Alabama/Texas A&M game. Fulton stayed with KK & Pop, while the four of us went to the game.

The next weekend, Steven had plans to visit a client in Arizona and I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to tag along.
After flying out of Birmingham late Thursday afternoon, and the time change, I think we finally crawled in bed around 2 am (central time).

So on Friday, after we did a little shopping and had lunch, pool time was in order.  Did I mention they had record highs that weekend in Phoenix?  Oh yeah, the temp was around 95!  Dry heat they say...well is was still hot!  We pretty much had the pool to ourselves, so that was nice!

Later that night, we drove over to the Old Town Scottsdale area.  It was a really neat town with lights strung over the tops of the stores from one side of the street to the other.  Tons of great restaurants and fun little shops.

Saturday, Steven spent some time with his clients and I did a little shopping nearby.  After their meeting, we had lunch together and local brewery per their suggestion.
The Alabama/Tennessee game was on later that day and we found a fun place to watch it and actually ran into a few Bama fans in there..so fun!

One of the things I was really looking forward to on our trip was going to an NFL game.  I really care nothing about NFL football and don't keep up with any of the teams or players, but have always wanted to go to a game.  It was a lot of fun and luckily it was indoors or we might have melted...ha!

Fun trip to the dessert...but I'm not gonna lie, I love living in Alabama after being out there :)

Beach trip with the girls (and Fulton)

We decided to take a last minute beach trip last weekend.  Mom, sister, Fulton and our long time friend, Ruth Ann, hit the road Thursday afternoon.

Friday was a perfect day on the beach...great weather and not too crowded.
Fulton was of course loving it!

Saturday, the sun wasn't out quite as much, but still a great day!

We decided on Lulu's for dinner that night..somewhere that we knew Fulton would enjoy...and that he did!  He loved playing in the sand and water, and we had a great time watching him.

Such a fun weekend!  Can't wait to do it again soon!

Fulton's 3rd birthday

Can't believe our little buddy is three years old!

On Saturday, we celebrated him with a party at his house...Fulton's house of pancakes

Kristen had pancakes with all the topping fixin's and other breakfast items.  It was yummy!

Again, Lavina did not disappoint with her cake.  Not only was it cute as can be, but it was delicious!

time to blow out the candles

Here's the inside after I cut the cake.  It seriously was so good!

After most of the guests left, Pop joined Fulton in the bounce house and did a little jumping.  So fun!!

opening a few presents from KK& Pop and Kiki & Pete

Yesterday, on his actual birthday, we had Mexican...his choice

Fulton insisted on Pop wearing the hat too

After dinner, we walked next door and Fulton picked out a fish...he named him Floyd
I love that little guy
