Happy Birthday Christie

Happy Birthday today to my wonderful friend, Christie!

Christie and I have been friends for many years. She and I met through a mutal friend, Mere. The three of us lived together my last year in college...Christie and Mere had already finished at Samford. I had met Christie only once before we all moved in together, but she and I became friends very quickly. (I always kid her about being the mail fanatic.) After living together for only a year, Christie ended up moving back to Mississippi to continue her career...very sad time for Keri :(

She and I have had some very fun times together over the years!

It has been way too long since we've seen each other...so I hope to see her and Raylin (and Brigg) sometime very soon.

Master Craft Pro Water Ski Tour

Saturday, we went with some friends of Steven's, Shad and Tina and their two boys, Charlie and Jennings, to the Master Craft Pro Water Ski Tour in Tuscaloosa...actually right outside of Tuscaloosa, in Duncanville. Seth, a high school friend of Steven and Shad's, is professional water skiier. We were able to see him compete in the slalom competition on Saturday.

It is amazing what these guys (and girls) can do. It's hard enough getting up on skis, much less flying so fast behind a boat weaving back and forth.

Charlie is in the last two pictures of the collage. He was enjoying some time in front of the fan before we left. Of course, I was right there with him, since it was quite warm outside.

After we left, we stopped by Dreamland for some wonderful ribs. I am not a huge fan of ribs, but their's are so good. They have wonderful banana pudding too!

Merle

Last Tuesday night, me, Steven and his parents went to the Merle Haggard concert at the Alabama Theater. Although, you weren't supposed to take pictures at the concert, I did...however most of them did not turn out too good.

I'm so glad I got to see Merle before he kicks the bucket...

Happy Birthday Kristen!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful sister, Kristen! Today she turned the big 26!

We celebrated her birthday this weekend at the lake (where else would be celebrate someones birthday during the summer).

We had birthday cake on Friday night and then opened presents on Saturday. As you can see Kristen & Matt provided us with a little entertainment Friday on the back deck. I think they missed their calling as cheerleaders or dancers.

To say that Kristen enjoys celebrating her birthday is an understatement. She stopped towards the end of opening her presents and said, no no, it's almost over!

Happy Father's Day to the best Dad!

He worked and worked this past weekend trying to get as much done and in place as possible so we all could enjoy the new house. Everytime I turned around he had some type of tool in his hand working on something.

We Love You!

Dad absolutely loves the Eagles and has always wnated to see them in concert. Well last month, Mom & Dad went to see them concert in Atlanta. Mom had a few of the pictures framed from the event that she gave to him for Father's Day.

This past weekend was the first time for us to spend the night in the new lake house.

After a long day of moving furniture, cleaning, etc, on Friday, we spent some time out on the lake Saturday as well as celebrate Matt's birthday!

Farewell Dinner

Cynthia, one of my co-workers last day at work was this past Friday. She and her husband are moving to Chicago, because her husband is starting his MBA in a few months at Northwestern. We had a farewell dinner for her on Wednesday night at Sabor Latino.

We will miss you Cynthia!
