Martin Family Memories

Ok, so I have not been the best at keeping you all posted on the surgery and upcoming events in our lives so here it is ! Surgery has finally been set for November 10 at 5:30 am. 

Things are really counting down. This week we have been able to cross a lot of "To DO's" off our list which has been nice. One including a will ! I know it should have been done at least 2 years ago around the time L was born, but lets face it .. they cost a lot and get looked over. Well, once we heard about surgery and have another baby on the way, we were contacted by kevins aunt to talk to us about it since she works for a lawyer ! To be honest I am grateful she did call, it hadn't crossed my mind even once. So now that is all done, and it took a big load off ! Especially once we went to see the movie  " Life as we know it" !! I, being pregnant and very hormonal, BAWLED my eyes out watching the start of that movie. This little girl was left with no parents after a car accident ! I am so grateful that no matter what happens, I have amazing family that can take care of my kids if we are not able to ! 

The main struggle we are facing right now is keeping Kevin healthy prior to surgery. As I posted before we are currently living with my parents, and all of us seem to be getting a cold. To most this is not a big deal, to us this is surgery or not. If kevin has any sort of infection or cold OF ANY KIND, surgery will be postponed. Mom, Dad, and L seem to have it the worst so they stay away as much as they can. I sleep upstairs in a different room in case I am carrying it from taking L all day. It is crazy around here, and poor kevin stays in our room to avoid it all. (At least it is all set up with things to do, since he will be spending most his time there after surgery) 

Another good thing, is we have a date for my C- section. Dec 17 !! That is great, because that means I will be home for christmas for sure unless something goes terribly wrong, which I am not counting on. The down side is kevin probably won't be able to stay with me in the hospital and for sure will not be the one driving me there, or home. He cannot drive for at least 6 weeks after surgery, but in our minds that is the least of our concern right now. 

The end of all this is coming SOON  and I can't wait. If you are wondering what you can do for us, well, prayer is probably the best thing. We have already felt so much love and support through all this and we thank all of you. Wish us luck :)
