LIFE GETS BUSY WHEN YOU COME HOME FROM VACATION!
It has been over a month since I last posted but life gets busy when you get home. Besides quilting I have been very involved in my church calling and Kendall and I have been workin gon the basement trying to get it finished. We also have taken time out to go and see Todd, Tanya, and Tate and spend time with them. It is amazing how fast little people grow when you don't see them for a long time. Tate turned into a little boy while I was gone.

Here is a picture of the quilt that I am making for our bedroom. I have been successful at getting it quilted to the middle since I have been home. I am hoping to have it done by Thanksgiving.

Before Kendall and I even started on our bedroom I knew that I wanted to make a star quilt for our bed. This particular quilt reminds me of my Aunt Millie. She lived across the street from my family when we were growing up. She was a favorite aunt of mine. I loved going to her house with my mom and watching her and my mom quilt. I remember sitting under the quilt and playing and whenever my mom or Aunt Millie needed there needle threaded I was the official needle threader. This has been a very challenging quilt but I have enjoyed putting it together because it reiminds me of Aunt Millie. When I asked a friend of mine if she had a pattern to this quilt she told me that it was the hardest quilt I could have chosen. What is life without a few challenges and hardships. I will post pictures when I have it finished and on my bed.
