Spirit Week

This sure brings back memories of when Shaylin and Kaylee were in High School!! In fact...Jaycee is wearing Shaylin's pants!! She found them in the back of her closet, and decided to wear them. When she got to school...she was told that only Jr's wore those pants!! So she had her picture taken for the yearbook with some other Juniors....ha ha...she's only a sophomore!! They said...shhh don't tell anyone and we won't either! Jaycee needed a purple shirt, so she went to Tanner's closet and found this shirt that he just happened to cut the sleeves off of a few months ago.
I love how resourceful she is!!

And she just happened to have some yellow huge earrings that looked amazing with this outfit!!
She's got the PHS spirit!! I love it!! My sophomore year was by far my favorite year when I was in High School...and we won't even talk about how long ago that was!! {THESE 2 PICTURES WOULD NOT TURN!!....hence why I got behind on my blogging...so I'm going to post them anyway!!}

She is a sweetheart!! And yes she is officially 16 now!! Yikes!!

Whoa...it's been a while

Kaylee & Sean came for a visit before their move to Arizona! They bought a house and Sean is doing Real Estate there...
And now......they have this little man to keep them busy!!!  Born on Friday April 26, 2013 at 3:08 pm
7 lbs. 9 oz and 21 inches long...an absolute beautiful baby boy!!!! And I'm in love with this baby!!!

This was taken on Paxon's blessing day!
Have I mentioned HOW MUCH I LOVE BEING A GRAMA?!!!! And having 5 grandchildren now!!!
Shaylin and Dexter came down to Arizona too, after Kaylee & Pax came home....we had alot of fun with these doggie cousins...and it was awexome to see both my daughters at the same time!!!
Okay...not to overload you all in one post...I'd better close for today!!

One last Quad trip & Harvest Fest

What is it about sunflowers that just speak fall!! I'm not sure why....but I sure love these big beautiful blossoms!! Jaycee took this photo with my new camera at Terry's Berries in Puyallup.

We loaded up the quads and headed off to Eastern Wa, to Moses Lake. It's about 3 hours from our house...and the dunes are great with lots of trails! We only took 3 quads this time, because Jaycee was being responsible and stayed home to babysit and go to her friends birthday party.

The sand was soooo soft, we barely pulled off the road...and we got stuck. So that's where we parked our motorhome till we left! But then it took about an hour to get us out!! With some digging and a good samaritan in a jeep who had a 30 ft rope....we got out!! Steve ended up pulling us out with his motorhome, because the jeep was a 6 cylinder and didn't even budge!! Whew...close one this time! We do have triple A on our motorhome, but didn't really want to call them if we didn't need to!!
We had to unhook the trailer to get un-stuck!!
Kevin showing Tanner how to pop a wheelie on his own quad...except...not like that!!!!
Tanner really prefered riding Kevin's quad. He rode very well too, to say the least!! He loves the power and says he can pop wheelies so good on Dad's quad!! I think we're in trouble!!! May be time for a bigger quad!! He liked riding my Honda too, but of course, Dad's was the BEAST!!!
Kev loves relaxing after a long ride at the dunes. We bring these reclyner's everywhere we go in the motorhome for that very reason!! I love taking the motorhome out and camping with friends!! The Hawkins and Harvard's came along, and the weather was great for us!! Unlike the last time we got caught in the middle of a rain/wind storm at Moses lake!! We prefer this weather for sure!!

More PL

Pages 4 and 5!! I'm almost through September...I'm having fun documenting the day to day, and trying to remember to pick up the camera more often again!!!! I got a new camera body and lens...it's a EOS 60D, and it takes AMAZING pictures!! Although these two were taken with my phone, just because it's easier!!

Off to say Family Prayer and get kids to bed!!

I Started PROJECT LIFE!

I was totally inspired to start this way of scrapbooking from Shaylin and my friend Sharon. Not that I hadn't ever seen this idea before...I just knew that I liked doing double pages in 12 x 12 format, and I wouldn't like this new way! Well I was WRONG!! I decdided that I could still scrapbook the same way and do this too!! This way of scrapbooking is for my Family album, and will include our everyday living...then I can still scrapbook events for the other albums. I want to keep this Project Life caught up though...that's my goal! So I started with September of this year!! And I'm LOVING it!!

My first page in project life.

Left side of page 2

Right side of page 3

I love it when I get to see my grandkids and kids posts on facebook, because I can print them out for my project life....a fun way to include more of my family in my albums!!!So onward I go with this new challenge to keep updated with my Family album!! Sure happy I finally caught on to this new wave of scrappin!!

Shaylin's engaged!!

While I was in St. George to go through the St. George Temple with my friend Elaine for her first time, Shaylin decided it would be good for her and Cody to come down so I could meet him. I liked him from the very beginning, and I think they are a perfect couple!! They got engaged on September 13th, and they're getting married January 21st 2012! Lots to do to get ready for her and Cody's big day!!
Then Elaine came back to Washington with me and stayed about 9 days! She wanted to see the fair, buy some scones, and just be here to visit for a while. So we did our annual trip to the fair. I got hypnotized there....didn't really believe I could be, but it's possible!

Turkey legs this year at the fair.....made Tanner's day for sure!!!
Jaycee was so looking forward to working at the fair next fall, but she isn't 16 till Sept 26th...the last day or so of the fair...she is soooo bummmed to miss it by that much!!

Our 16 year Anniversary

This year we stayed at The Marriot Courtyard in Tacoma. At first I thought that was pretty funny to be sooo close to home, but after investigating some of the things in Tacoma that we never had,....we both thought it was a wonderful idea!! We took the Tacoma Street Car and checked out some of the little shops around. Right outside our Motel were these words that you could put together to make sentences....Kev made this one....he's a keeper!!

When we checked into our FABULOUS room....Kev had this gift basket on our bed.....yummy munchies, glasses for sparkling cider and all kinds of goodies! He was excited that there was a TV in the bathroom so while you sat in the jacuzzi, you could watch your shows...
The basket of goodies!!

We walked into this run down antique store, and it went on forever...there was floor after floor and unusual things to look at! I fell in love with this old fashioned library....the ladder actually had wheels on it to move across the floor, and there were a ton more books upstairs!! Yep, I went up there too!! How cool would it be to have this in your house!? AMAZING!

We ate dinner at this new place called the "Ravenous". When we walked in I was having second thoughts...but when we got our dinner....it was delicious!!! That's one thing I love about Kev...he encourages me to try new things!!

All in all, it was a relaxing anniversary...didn't have to travel far to get to our destination, and we learned a little more about Tacoma while exploring the town!!

Happy Anniversary to my sweetheart! I am the luckiest lady, and I know it!!
