Come and Gone...

I can't believe how FAST this year has flown by! Christmas came and went super fast this year. Maybe it's because I'm no longer in school and the days just seem to blur together. Anyway...we had a wonderful Christmas this year and got spoiled once again. This year was technically "Ryan's" family's Christmas so we spent Christmas Eve and morning there and then went to my family's in the afternoon. Christmas Eve we ate, sang songs, read the Christmas story, and then played a fun game with prizes! We each drew a number and each number had a corresponding envelope. You couldn't see inside the envelope and inside each one was money, in varying amounts. There was $1, $5, $20, and $50. There was only one $1 and two $50's. I drew number one and I could either keep my envelope and take my chances with money or I could trade it in and choose between either bowl #1 or bowl #2. Inside one bowl was a $25 gift card to your favorite restaurant (which we were all asked a few days before) or you got a dud prize. There was no way on knowing which one you were gonna get. I kept my envelope and got one of the $50! AND I did get my gift card in my stocking the next morning. :)

The next morning we opened presents and just enjoyed the day together. I'm so grateful for my husband, my family, and in-laws and for their part in making this year special.Me and Ryan on Christmas Eve at his parents.

Office Par-Tay!

Boy does my office know how to party?! This year for our Christmas party we all went up to Hotel Park City where we ate dinner at Ruth's Chris and stayed over night. Our room was HUGE! It had a big bathroom with a nice jetted tub, kitchen (with a dishwasher!), living room, and a nice balcony that you could see the ski resort from. Ryan thought I was weird when I busted out our camera after checking in and heading to our room...but I HAD to!

The super huge jetted tub!

They had his/her robes and slippers for us to wear.

I know this is weird that I'm putting a picture of the toilet up...but the first thing Ryan noticed was that there was a phone in the bathroom. :)

The awesome shower. It had one head coming out one side, another from the roof, and then another detachable one.

Doesn't EVERY hotel room have a washer/dryer in it?

The "living room."

The fireplace/tv/kitchen full equipped with a fridge, stove, and dishwasher.

This bed was THE most comfortable bed I've ever slept on! Everything from the mattress to the pillows had down.

Enjoying our room.

View of the hotel from our balcony.

Other view.
I had this amazing steak at Ruth's Chris. I'm not really a steak or fish person, but I got their Mixed Grill with this delicious 4 oz fillet, crab cakes, and stuffed chicken breast. I also got a sweet potato casserole that tasted like CANDY and I WISH I had the recipe for. We also had the most beautiful and tasty cheesecake for dessert I've ever had. I told Ryan we for SURE have to go back there...we'll just have to save up for it.

After dinner, the games began! We had tons of fun playing Rock Band and other board games. I rocked the drums and the base.
The Dr's and their wives rockin' out.

I honestly am so blessed to work for and with wonderful people. I LOVE everyone I work with and that makes it so fun. My bosses are wonderful and I NEVER want to leave that office! Can't wait to see what we do next year! :)

Thanksgiving and BlAcK FrIdAy!

This year Thanksgiving was great. It was our year at my parent's. And since both of our parents live within 30 miles of each other, we make an appearance at both homes. Dinner was great! The table setting was gorgeous...but you wouldn't expect anything less than that from my mother! She made each of us a gratitude journal to write down things that we're thankful for. Such a great idea! After an amazing turkey dinner and some pie we played some pool and ping pong, finished watching the Cowboys game (GO COWBOYS!), watched the kids play in my parents new spa and just hung out and enjoyed each others company. After we finished at my parent's house, we headed up to good ole' American Fork to go to a movie with Ryan's family. Some of us went to see New Moon, Blindside, 2012, and Blindside. I saw New Moon and I LOVED it! Yes, it was cheesy but oh. my. goodness! I want them to change the story and have Bella choose Jacob. Anyway...back to Thanksgiving...it was great! I have SO much to be thankful for. I am most grateful for my wonderful and loving husband Ryan. He is SO good to me and I love him more each day. I definitely married up!

Okay, now on to Black Friday. We shopped. All. Day. Long. We were up at 4:00 and met Ryan's family at 4:30 at WalMart in American Fork. I was there in all the madness when the siren went off. It went off early, and there was a manager running around telling everyone that it was just warning and to stop putting things in their cart...did they listen? NO! And I have to say I kind of got caught up in the madness and started throwing random crap in my cart. Whenever I saw only a few of a certain toy left, I grabbed one. :) Needless to say, the nieces and nephew's presents are all taken care of. After WalMart we went to Rod Works, Best Buy, Home Depot, Smith's Marketplace, Recreation Outlet, ShopKo, Target and then on to the mall. We literally shopped until we dropped! We finished around 2 pm after which I literally collapsed on a bed at Ryan's grandma's. This was my first real black Friday experience and while standing in line at WalMart I swore I'd NEVER do this again...but I really did have fun and Ryan's family is quite fun to shop with...they're so hard core! My kind of shoppers!

Rosette Shirt

I came across THIS and I wanted one SO BAD. Of course...her's is MUCH better, but I do like mine. I know it's got a pocket, but I went to the store and really wanted a shirt that color and that's all they had in my size. So here's mine...keep in mind I don't have the best camera. One day that will change. :)

Be-lated Birthday and Family Pictures

On November 6th my husband turned 32!!! THAT IS OLD!!! Not really, but I like to tease him. We celebrated the big day with his family at Texas Roadhouse....YUM! Then the next Sunday we celebrated my nephew, Jackson's, birthday as well as Ryan's with my family. Jackson's was the 9th and he turned 9! It was his Golden Birthday! We had cake and ice cream and took our annual family pictures.
Ryan and Jackson while we sang 'Happy Birthday.'

Our "Family" pictures. I don't have any of the WHOLE Weber clan yet...those are to come.

Both my sister and my sister-in law are FAB photographers! I have links to both places on my sidebar. (Mel Cook Photography and Freckled Photos)

Can't stop...

I admit...I like to craft. In fact, I LOVE it! It's amazing how girly I've become. When I was in the sixth grade I wore Umbro soccer shorts and No Fear shirts to school, my favorite color was turquoise, and I hated anything REMOTELY girly! Ryan says he can't picture me as a tom-boy, that is until he sees the pictures of me as a child and how bad my "ugly" stage was and how long it lasted! Anyways...sorry about that, back to my crafts. These are my projects lately:

A while back I said I'd post a picture of the finished product of my letter wreath...here is it!

Then I saw these and HAD to try them. Mine didn't turn out as cool, but here's the finished product. Eventually I'll make some colored ones. I tried the spray paint thing and I wasn't as successful as the ones of the tutorial. And please pardon the hot glue you can see all over the string.

And FINALLY I saw this ornament wreath and got so excited at how EASY it looked, I went to the Dollar Tree, got some ornaments and made this sucker in about 30 minutes. I can't wait to put it on my door! And it only cost me 9 bucks for the ornaments! All I have left is to cover the wire hook with a cute ribbon and hang it up come December 1st!

And has anyone noticed that Tai Pan is now in the Orem University Mall?!!! I am SO excited about that. I went in there the other day and was in heaven. I told Ryan not to worry, I didn't spend any money. Just started making my Christmas list. :)

Halloween!

I hope everyone had a happy and safe Halloween. I can't believe it's come and gone....next is Thanksgiving!!! Sheesh! Ryan and I had a fun Halloween. We headed over to my sister's house to have dinner and see the kids before they took off to go trick-or-treating. It's fun to see what they decide to dress up as. And I have to say that I have THE cutest nieces and nephews!

Here's me and Ry at my sisters...He's tigger and I'm lame and didn't dress up.
Here's the adorable butterfly! Brecken is such a cutie with such a sassy personalityHere's Jackson, Caleb, and Ainsley. Ainsley was THE cutest witch I've ever seen!

"Who's that Spartan in my tee pee?"
Brooke and TJ. TJ totally looks the part!
Last weekend we had my work Halloween party. TONS of fun! We played "adult musical chairs" and I learned some serious stuff about the people I work with. I have to say, I LOVE my job. Here's a few pics from the party.
The skeleton and the fairy.
Some of the girls I work with. The office, minus the Dr's. I WISH I had a picture of Dr. C's costume...there are no words.
Hope everyone had a GREAT HALLOWEEN! Til next year!

Deep in the Heart of Texas!

We're back from our wonderful trip to TEXAS! I was so excited to finally be able to show Ryan where I grew up and still consider home. I'll ALWAYS be a Texan at heart, whether or not I can convince my husband to move there. Warning: TONS of pictures follow!
Tomball, Texas is home to the world's largest shovel. This is me and Ryan with it.

Aren't the green trees just gorgeous?!
Once again, the biggest shovel.
My parents on the River Walk in San Antonio. We stayed in the Marriott RIGHT on the river. It was awesome...thanks Christy for the hook up!

The girls on the river walk.
We took a tour boat around the river. That was my favorite part of the whole trip. SO romantic and relaxing. PLUS it was great to learn all the history.

Pretty view.

Gotta love me some BLUEBELL! BEST ice cream EVER! I ate some every night. :)

I finally got to go through the Houston temple. We did a session there.

Los Cucos. THE. BEST. TEX MEX. No question about it! Ryan is a convert.

In front of the restaurant.

Getting ready to eat some yummy food! And yes, it was 89 degrees and 100% humidity when we got there. Luckily, it cooled off the rest of the time we were there so we could enjoy it.

The plane ride...don't we look excited...or more like stoned? :) Ryan just woke up.

Till next time....or until we MOVE there! :)
