This week

We've had some fun in LA this week. This morning we got up at 4:30 and went to the beach fishing. I never thought I would wake up so early to go fishing. I was freezing, but ended up catching 2 fish!
Earlier this week, Kirk finished his campaign for ASB president at the dental school. Wednesday night, we found out that he was elected. I'm very excited for him, even though it means that I won't see him much next year. Here is Mr. President holding up his halibut he caught last weekend.

A few days ago, I went out to my car at work. I found these in the back seat. They used to be CD cases, but they melting in the hot hot heat. We've actually had great weather lately, but the valley (where I work) get pretty hot.

Prom '09

So, this entire year I have been co-moderator for the senior class. We planned activities and supervised at homecoming. We've sponsored 2 all-school dances and a concert as fundraisers and finally, last night, Prom '09. We've spent months planning this! Everything went well and I am glad that it is over. It has definitely caused some stress in my life the last few weeks. We had prom at the Dorothy Chandler pavillion. It is on the 5th floor above the Los Angeles Music center down town. The room has a lot of windows and at the end of the night we could see the fireworks from Dodger Stadium. We had a catered buffet dinnner and our DJ was really good too. The night went without problems. I am very relieved that it is over.
Sorry, no pics, but I did dress up in one of my dresses from high school and Kirk came with me and hung out the whole time!
Now all I have to worry about and plan is Graduation. We have to make tickets, programs and practice with the students for this Friday's big night. The seniors are also going to an all-night party at Disneyland, but luckily I don't have to chaperone that one. You have to be 25 years old to do that. :) All of my classses will get a lot smaller when the seniors graduate. We still have 3 more weeks of school with the rest of the students.
