Cami in November

Cami is so cute right now!  She talks a lot and has such a happy, fun-loving personality.  She loves to laugh and be tickled.  She loves Cade (except when he steals her toys) and her mommy and daddy. She never wants to be left out of anything.
  • We went to the park and the drinking fountain was turned off.  I told Cami it was broken and she said "batteries in it?"
  • She loves to get animals and run around and make the roar (garr) at you
  • She loves to crawl through tunnels like my legs.
  • She gets so excited whenever we see puppies or kitties.  We go visit Mary (our older neighbor) just so Cami can see her little dog.
  • She is great at cleaning up and loves to pack and unpack bags and boxes.
  • Cami has started singing lots of songs.  She sings Raffi's tingaleo like this "AAAOOO, come donkey come."  We have been going to a music group with kids in the ward called Cherubs.  One song they do every week is "when I sing La la la" by Janine Brady.  Each of the kids get a puppet.  Cami loves this part.  At home she takes her socks off and puts them on her hands and starts singing "sing la la la."  We were driving home from Yakima late one evening.  We listened to this song about 20 times in the car.  Each time it ended Cami would say "more la la la" and then when it started she said "Cherubs today.  Puppet.  La la la."  It was cute.  Cade was getting sick of it by the end.
  • Whenever I tell Cami I don't know where something is or we need to find it she says "hiding?"  If I ask her to look for it she bends over and stares at the floor  and says "not here."
  • She loves to wear anything pretty--skirts, dresses, ribbons, flowers, bows.  She is a cute girl.
  • She loves to play with our blocks and build towers or just stand them all up on end.  She doesn't love it when Cade knocks over her tower or steals her blocks.
  • We dropped Cade off at preschool one day and I was driving home.  I asked Cami what we should do.  She said "play."  I asked her what she wanted to play with.  She said "babies."  So we went home and found a few dolls and blankets.  She wanted to feed the babies and put them in our high chairs.  We wrapped them up and put them to bed and sang them songs.  It was really fun to play with just Cami.  She was really excited and could do all of her ideas without interference.
  • We went to storytime at the library.  It is for Cade and over Cami's head.  She had a great time and took stuff out of my purse and rolled on the floor and pulled off her socks and boots.  She just played right by Cade and I for 45 minutes.
  • Cade was pretending there was a dinosaur in his room one day and we went and said "buggabuggaboo" to scare it outside.  The rest of the day (and whenever we mention dinosaurs) Cami says "dinosaur, room" over and over again until we go scare it away.

Cade in November

  • There is a country song that sings "When the sun goes down it will get a little hotter"  I was singing this one day and Cade said "No, it should be when the sun goes down it will get a little darker."
  • We were playing with alphabet magnets one day and he can find all of the letters in his name.  He can write a C A D and E but they all face different directions and are randomly placed on the paper.
  • He can do up buttons on his shirt
  • He was playing with his dump truck one day.  It is a fisher price toy and had a little person that can drive it.  He told me that the guy stands up to drive it because he can't sit down because he doesn't have a bum.
  • We have a laundry hamper made of pvc pipe with a mesh bag.  I think this is one of the favorite toys in the house.  One day Cade pulled it apart so he had the top square and 2 long leg pieces and Cami had the bottom part.  Within a few minutes he had made that into a vacuum, a lawn mower, a picnic table, a garage, a chair, a truck and a tunnel.  He has quite an imagination!
  • We took the kids fishing a few weeks ago and Cade was in heaven all day.  He got to eat lunch sitting on a rock and using another rock as his table.  We brought his sand tractors and he got to dig in the dirt.  He also filled up a Ziploc bag with dirt from all around the car over and over.
  • We had Jack-O-Lantern pancakes for Halloween with chocolate chip faces.  Cade ate away his pancake and showed us how it just had eyes left.  Then he ate one of the eyes and said "Look, Mike Wazouski!"
  • Cade loves to play hide-and-seek.  We played for about 45 minutes one Sunday evening.  Cami loves it too, but you have to watch her because she cheats!
  • We got to bring home a new tractor book from the library and Cade thinks it is awesome!
  • He told me he was going landscaping.  He put his feet into 2 boxes and started sliding around.  I was a little confused.  Today we had freezing rain and Kirk was sliding around on the ice.  He told me that Daddy was landscaping.  I think he means ice skating.
  • He loves to build a garage out of blocks and park all of his cars in it.  Cami would rather build a tower with the blocks and sometimes they don't get along very well.
  • We went to the mall Christmas parade and Cade was so excited to see Santa!  A few mascots from local teams were also in the parade and Cade wasn't too sure about them.  Cami loved them and after Cade saw how excited Cami was he thought it was ok to give them a high five.
  • Cade still loves preschool and his church class.  He still gets a little nervous when strangers come over, but he loves to be with his friends.  He doesn't play much with them, but still enjoys spending time with them.

Halloween!

Cade and Cami loved Halloween this year.  Cade wanted to be a doctor and Cami has a cute Belle dress that she used.

We carved pumpkins a few days ahead of time and they loved seeing them all lit up.  We went to our music group in the morning and the kids got to wear costumes.
I took the kids trick-or-treating during the afternoon of Halloween day at some stores nearby and they thought it was great.  Cami was super shy at first, but by then end she didn't want to stop!  We came home and had scones and chili for dinner.  Kirk made it home record-early (5:15) and we ate and got set to go trick-or-treating.  The street we live on has no young families.  We had one neighbor who told us she had made cookies for our kids and we had to go visit her and another lady who we see out on walks all of the time and we love her.  Cami loves her dog :).  So we visited with these two first and then walked about a block to a street we know has lots more kids around.  Cade thought it was great and loved knocking on the doors and getting candy. We weren't too sure how Cami would act because she has been pretty shy the last few weeks and only wants to be with mommy.  However, she loved it!  She was running down each driveway yelling "next one, next one."  Some homes would offer a bowl so the kids could pick one and Cami usually ended up with 2.  She also had to knock on each door, even after Cade knocked.  It was a fun evening and we definitely have enough candy to last us a while now!

Lattin's came to visit!

Some of our good friends from LA came to visit us a couple of weeks ago.  They were here for general conference.  They have a 2 year old girl and are expecting another one any day now.  We were a bit limited in what we could do, but it was super fun to talk and hang out.  We went to the park for a picnic on Saturday.

Cami's hair looks awesome when she goes down slides!

After conference was over, we didn't have a lot of time, but wanted to get out of the house again.  Richland isn't super excited, but we did go to Costco and get some smoothies!  Next time you come, we will plan something better, I promise!  They guys went to the priesthood session and we stayed home and played outside and put kids to bed.  We had a late adult only dinner which was kind of nice.  Sunday we watched more conference and went for a walk around the temple.  We had an early dinner and sent them back to Portland around 5:00.  It was a quick trip, but I really appreciate them making the effort to come.  It is always fun to spend time together!

Utah trip

I have been to Utah 5 times since we moved to Washington!  I went a couple of weeks ago (the 5th time)  I really didn't have to this time, but Lindsey and her kids were going to be there and we wanted to see them.  Kirk stayed home and worked and fished and golfed.  We left on a Thursday.  2 days before, Cami woke up with a 102.5 degree fever.  She was pretty sick all day and I ended up taking her to the doctor that evening.  She had an ear infection and a sore throat.  Poor girl.  Wednesday she was a bit better and I still wanted to go on Thursday, so we did.  Lindsey wasn't coming until Friday afternoon.  We stayed with my parents Thursday night and just before bedtime, Cade told me he didn't feel very good (oh no!)  He had a fever and sore throat too.  The next morning we packed up and went to stay with Kirk's parents in Provo for 2 days so we could keep Lindsey's kids healthy.

Cade was pretty sick all day Friday, but Cami was doing much better but was super clingy and wanted very little to do with Grandma and Grandpa.  We watched a movie and ate lots of popsicles and mostly just sat around and watched Grandpa mow the lawn.  Cade wasn't as bad as Cami and still had some energy to play.  Bedtime that night was super hard and it took me about 2 1/2 hours to get both kids to sleep.  Neither one would stay in a room without me and they did not want Grandma.  Don't you love travelling?

Saturday we went to the Bean museum and saw some animals.  They have recently redone everything.  My favorite part was a room dedicated to the artwork of Boyd K Packer.  I would have just skipped over it, but Tom and Lisa wanted to go in and it was really cool.  We went home and I put Cami to bed and then escaped for a couple of hours shopping at Kohls.  It was a much needed break after 3 days of sick kids and 1 long day of driving.

Sunday morning we ate breakfast and the headed up to my parents house.  We stayed home from church and had some good nap times.  Kristi and Ty came over in the afternoon and it was fun to see them too.  We built a big train track and had a yummy dinner too.

Monday morning my parents went to work.  We took the kids outside to play with chalk and strollers and then packed a lunch and went to the park.  Cami still didn't like anyone at this point.  She actually spent about 30 minutes just playing in her bed alone while I did my hair and stuff.  I think she enjoyed the time alone.  Lindsey and I went shopping at JoAnns in the afternoon with one project in mind and ended up with a different bigger project that we bought material for.  I wish we could work on it together!

Tuesday my mom stayed home from work.  We went swimming at the Lehi pool which has some fun indoor slides.  We had lots of time playing outside, jumping on the neighbors trampoline, playing in the sand, eating raspberries, coloring with glitter glue and hanging out too.

Wednesday we packed up and went to Springville to visit Alan and Kristi.  We played at their apartment for a while and then went to a great little park nearby and ate pizza.  We were able to get a picture of all 6 grandkids, looking at the camera!  Most of them were even smiling.  I snapped the picture right after Lindsey yelled "who wants a treat?" and it turned out great.  We printed the picture and gave it to my parents to hang up.  The kids all had fun at the park.  We went home and I went to the temple and left my screaming Cami with Lindsey.  It worked out fine and Cami calmed down and had fun playing with everyone.  Once I got home though, she wouldn't leave my side again.

Thursday was the first day of fall break and we went to the Thanksgiving Point Museum of Curiousity.  It was really cool--and really crowded.  We spent most of our time in a little pretend town with a bank, train station, tv station, vet clinic etc.  We also climbed around the rain forest.  One of my favorite parts was a big maze outside in some tall bushes.  I thought it would be really small, but we ended up walking for like 5 minutes before we found an opening again.  We had some lunch at the museum and headed back home.

Cami was mad that I wouldn't let her climb on something and she laid down on the sidewalk and cried.
I was able to visit with my friend Jill and see her baby Thursday afternoon.  She lives in Denver, but our parents are still in the same ward and we happened to be in Utah together.  It is always fun to see her and talk.  We haven't lived near each other since I got married, but have remained good friends.  I had a hard time getting Cami to sleep that night--again--even though she was super tired.  But it worked out.  I got the car loaded and her to sleep and me to sleep by about 9:30.

Friday morning Cami woke me up around 4.  By 4:30 she was asleep, but I didn't go back to sleep so at 5 I just got up.  I got myself ready and ate some breakfast then Cade woke up and ate and got dressed.  We stuck Cami in the car and were on the road by 5:45.  My first stop was in Twin Falls and we got Cami dressed.  Then we stopped an hour and a half later in Boise at Costco to get gas and a smoothie.  We didn't stop after that until we got home.  Both kids slept a bit and I just drove!  It was a pretty smooth trip.  Kirk got home a little before 6 and Cami was in bed by 6 (and didn't wake up until 8 the next day) and Cade was down by 7.  I was so tired that I went to bed about 8:15 and we all slept great that night!

As always, it was a fun trip and we love seeing family.  It is always hard to leave Kirk and take care of stuff away from home, but definitely worth the drive and the time.  Now we're looking forward to Thanksgiving when we have all 4 grandparents coming up here!

Cami in September/October

Cami is growing up!  She is still my baby, but she is definitely a toddler now!

  • Cami loves books.  She loves me and Kirk to read to her (sometimes we only get through a page or 2 per book) or she will sit in the chair and read to herself.
  • She loves to do up buckles on her high chair, car seat, and stroller.  Then she asks me to undo them and does them up again.
  • She liked to call the apostles Cade was learning "baby" and then we would tell her they weren't babies and she would laugh and say baby again.  Sometimes she points to me and says baby and herself and says mommy and laughs.
  • She repeats everything!  One day we were driving in the car and Kirk was telling me the random color names for some fly tying thing and said sasquatch brown.  Cami started yelling sasquatch brown and then Cade did and now they love to say that.  She would also repeat the names of the apostles and her favorite was Boyd Packer.
  • She loves smoothies (especially from Costco)

  • She knows where a few things are as we drive around.  She gets excited everytime we drive past the splash park or up to a park to play.
  • She likes to play in toilets and pull the paper off the roll.   One day I had a brand new toilet paper roll that I found soaked on the rug next to the toilet.  I'm sure she dipped it.  At least she didn't flush it!
  • One day she started running around in circles with a box on her head.
  • She loves bracelets.  She loves to make things into bracelets like her snack cup lids or my hair bands.
  • She calls her jacket a Jacky
  • Whenever cars are driving past on our road she says "car coming"
  • She likes to push her stroller away and say "bye bye.  Dar's house.  5 min. "
  • She loves to play with light switches.
  • She understands the word no, but hates to obey it.
  • She grabbed Cade's plate one day after lunch and rubbed it on her head, ketchup and all.
  •  Cami likes to look at our picture of Christ hanging in the dining room.  She says "Jesus, Cami"  and I say "yes, Jesus loves Cami."  Then she goes through everyone else "Jesus, Cade" "Jesus, Mommy" and "Jesus, Daddy."
  • We've been going to a music group with some friends and the first song they do each time is "Where is Cami?" and then the kid waves and says "Here I am" and they go around the circle so everyone can have a turn.  Cami loves to sing this song and says "Cami, Here I am."  "Mommy, Here I am."  "Cade, Here I am."
  • Another day, we watched Raffi and then Cami was singing "AAAOOO, come donkey come." for Tingaleo.

  • She repeats everything she hears.  My mom was talking one day and said something like "and I spent fifty bucks."  and Cami says "ifty ucks."  It was pretty cute.
  • She loves to have her toes painted.  When they are, she shows everyone her pretty toes.
  • Cami loves to read her book "Old McDonald" and says EIEIO on every page.  This book kept her entertained for about an hour each way when we drove to Utah.
  • She can climb out of her crib now.  I had a really hard time getting her to sleep each night in Utah.  She wouldn't stay in the pack'n'play unless I was in the room.  Now that we're home, I barricaded our packnplay in the corner of her room and she can't climb out.  I'm not ready to move her to a toddler bed yet.
  • She loves to go for walks and either ride in the stroller or push her stroller.  One day she realized that we were almost home and tried to turn around.  I told her it was time to go home and she got mad and laid on the sidewalk and started crying.  I kept walking home and she eventually calmed down and came with me.
  • .Cami thinks that if she can't see you, then you can't see her.  She will hide her face when she doesn't want to be with people that are "scary."  Sometimes she just lays down and says "Cami hiding."  If we can't find something and I say that I don't know where it is, she says "hiding?"
  • When Cami folds her arms, she puts her hands together and covers her eyes.
  • If Cami wants me to pick her up, she says Carry you.
  • We had pizza one night for dinner and Cami ate 2 whole slices!  She takes her food very seriously.

Cade in September/October

  • Cade talks a lot but his pronunciation isn't very clear a lot of the time.  He loves to perform though.  One of his favorite things is to stand on our sprinkler box in the yard and say "hello everynone" or "Good morning brothers and sisters."
  • Cade had a little obey chart and as he moved up the road he got certain rewards.  The first one was a donut.  We walked down to Albertson's one day and got him a donut and he was so excited.  He carried them all the way home and even shared a bit with Cami.
  • He likes to weed too.  He has his "weeding place" at the trails (neighborhood park).  Once on a walk we saw a weed and he said "next time we walk here I need my bag so I can put that weed in it."
He helps me make bread!

  • He likes to watch tractor movies on youtube, lately his favorite has been about a delimber.  Now he takes his golf clubs outside and whacks the bushes and tells me he is delimbing.  Sometimes he takes his scissors outside and cuts off little branches to delimb.
  • He has loved making train tracks again this month.  Pretty much every day.
  • He likes to help out the mower guys and pick up leaves and put them in plastic bags.
  • Cade started a co-op preschool this fall.  We meet on Wednesday morning for 2 hours.  He loves it.  The first time was the most exciting.  There was smoke coming from the house across the street and so one of the neighbors called the fire truck (they knew the owner wasn't home).  The kids got to see the fire truck pull up and then they went to see the fire truck up close and got a sticker.  It was pretty neat.  He slowly tells me about preschool throughout the day.  On the first day he told me he needed a backpack because all the other kids had backpacks.  I felt bad that I didn't realize this, but we've made sure he had a backpack all the rest of the times.  He isn't really social and I think he plays by himself a bit, but he is happy and the other moms say he is really good.
  • We went fishing at the Yakima river and Cade loved it!  He got to play in the water, pick up lots of sticks, climb on rocks and go on a little walk around the trails.
  • Cade loves to watch the first part of the movie "Up" because there are some tractors in it.  One of the tractors knocks over the guys mailbox.  Everytime Cade watches the movie he says "I don't want the tractor to bulldoze his mailbox"
At the park with my aunt Darlene

  • Cade learned the names of all 12 apostles and the first presidency.  We cut out pictures and he memorized a fact about each one with their name and picture.  This made conference more fun.  He liked to guess who was talking next and he really liked the part where all the apostles were sustained.  I put together activities for him to do with an apostle picture on each one.  He got to do that activity when the guy was speaking and it worked pretty well.
  • Cade loves to play in the sand, mow the lawn, sweep outside and ride his bike.
  • He takes good care of his sister and when she is sad he will help her find a toy to make her happy.

  • I told Cade we were having bacon for breakfast one morning and he started singing and dancing "bacon, bacon, bacon.  I love bacon.  It is the best in the whole world."  "Mom, do you like my bacon song?"
  • Cade loves to wear his blue jeans.  He likes the song "blue jeans painted on tight" and pretty much wears them everyday.  Well, the jeans got a hole in the knee and we decided he needed new blue jeans, even though he has like 5 other pair of pants he could wear.  He was pretty excited to get new pants at the store and try them on and everything.

outside.

Mommy, can we go outside now?

We spend hours each day "outside."  What do we do?

Cade will mow the lawn with his mower, Cami's stroller or something else with wheels.  Cade will trim the bushes with his "delimber" aka trimmer aka golf club.  Sometimes he uses scissors to cut the grass that the mower guys missed or to cut long branches on our bushes.

Cami loves to do up buckles, then ask me to undo it, then do it up again.  Cami loves to grab a toy--stroller, car etc. and say "walk walk."  As we walk around the cul-de-sac she will look back and say "coming?" She will randomly stop in the middle of the sidewalk, sit down and say "break" and will continue to sit there until she feels like getting up.

They both love to push things and walk.  I'm not sure why this is such a draw for little walkers.  It can be a stroller, a mower, a golf bag or another little push cart we have.  Today I started with the cart because Cami insisted I push it.  Cade had the stroller and Cami had the mower.  Pretty soon Cade wanted to trade me and then a few minutes later Cami wanted to trade me.  I don't think they care what they push, as long as it is something.

Cade loves to take his mower and a bucket or grocery sack to the grassy park across the street.  We have to pick up leaves and pinecones, pull the weeds the mowers missed and go on adventures climbing under the trees and running by the fence.

Often we will stop and talk to a neighbor as they check the mail or bring the garbage can in.  They all know Cade and Cami's names.  We have one neighbor who has a dog who loves us!

One afternoon we helped a stranded 18 year old jump his car.

One morning we ran through the sprinklers--which are almost never on at that time of day.

Sometimes we will go around the whole loop!  (our small block)  Cade will usually ride his bike for this and Cami will either walk or go in the stroller.  She loves stroller rides.

We play with sidewalk chalk, eat breakfast and play in the sand in the back patio.  Mostly we just try to keep Cami from throwing sand everywhere.  Sometimes we sweep up sand too.

On the side of the house is the "big grass."  Cade will do somersaults and silly tricks.  Cami loves to run back and forth holding hands with someone.  Cade sings songs to the world while standing on the sprinkler box.  We hit golf balls and of course, mow, blow and trim.

We give lots of hugs when knees get scratched, hands smashed or toes bumped.

It is a big world out there.  We have taken lots of time to explore our little corner of it.  Most days Cade would rather just play "outside" than go to a park or play with friends.  They are both super happy out there and just kind of wander around doing their thing and telling me how to play too.  Some days I wonder how we can spend so much time doing the same things outside, but it's fun and it is great to see them happy.  I'm sure I will look back and wish I had these days again with my 1 1/2 year old girl and my 3-year old boy.

Cami in August

Cami is growing up!  She talks all of the time and repeats phrases.  She is getting more and more independent too.
yes, she is wearing Cade's jacket and her pajamas
  • Cami likes to climb on things.  If she is trying to get up and I touch her or help her, she will climb back down and do it again.
  • She can climb up in her high chair.  One day she wouldn't stay down, so I put the tray on.  The next thing I know, she is sitting on top of the tray.
  • I found Cami laying down in our sandbox one day.  This is kind of silly, but it is even funnier because a minute before, she stuck her hand in the sandbox and wanted me to wipe off the dirt.
  • Cami loves stuffed animals and her blankets.
  • She will eat pretty much anything but really likes fruit.
  • When ever we drive past or mention the splash park, Cami stomps her feet and says "tited" for excited.
  • She loves to do buckles.  She will do up the buckles in her high chair and then Cade's high chair and then come get me and say "help me, buckle" and I will undo it for her and she will do it all over again.
  • Cami loves dogs.  We see one of our neighbors out walking her dog a lot and Cami get so excited and loves to pet the dog.
  • Cami has gone to nursery with Kirk staying the whole time the last 2 weeks and has done great. She really likes me, but usually does ok with other people when I am not around.
  • Cami loves to eat popsicles.  Cade always asks her which color she wants and she will grab one and run over to the drawer where we keep the scissors.
  • She loves to run outside on the grass, holding my hand.
  • She loves to go for walks in the stroller.
  • Whenever she hears a lawn mower she runs up to me and excitedly says mo-mo.
  • She is fearless in the swimming pool.  She will pretty much just jump in anywhere.  In the wading pool, she tries to sit down but can't and her head goes underwater.  She comes up coughing, but doesn't get upset.  She is really a full-time job when we go swimming and I have to stay right next to her.
  • She has gone poopies in the toilet twice after telling me she had to go.  She will often tell me right after she goes and wants to go sit on the toilet.  There is hope that she will be out of diapers, maybe even around age 2!
  • She is finally down to 1 nap.  She sleeps from about 12-2 each day and from 7-6:30 during the night.
  • When I tell her to say thank you, she says welcome.
  • If Cami hears you say crazy, she shakes her head back and forth really fast, especially if she is sitting at the table.
  • She is starting to play pretend with us.  She will pretend to eat the food that Cade makes with his toys and will pretend to take naps on her blanket.

Cade is 3!

Cade was so excited for his birthday.  He turned 3 on the 21st.  I decorated with lots of blue balloons and blue streamers over night and he was pretty happy when he saw it in the morning.  We had German pancakes for breakfast.
The mower truck came and Cade said "they knowed it was my birthday and they came!"  We went swimming in the morning and then played at home in the afternoon.  Kirk got home early from work and we had pizza and sugar bugs (cinnamon sticks) for dinner.  Scott, Kara, Dar, Gary and Amber all came over for cake and ice cream and Cade got to open a few presents.  He had already received a bike, a battery-powered leaf blower, and a big Thomas the train extension track before his birthday from us and grandparents.  Dar gave him some treats and a couple of cars and Scott and Kara brought a bubble gun and some magic pirate play dough.  He also got a new truck book and a couple of Disney movies.  What a lucky guy!

2 days later we had a construction party with his friends.  We started by giving the kids hard hats and play dough to build with.  We read Goodnight Good night Construction Site.  Then we did an obstacle course with orange cones and tape.
We had snacks and then Cade opened a couple of presents and the kids ate cupcakes.  I used mini tractors as the cupcake toppers and then they played in rice with their tractors.

We finished by building stuff with pretzels and marshmallows.  It was a fun party.  Cade was pretty nervous to have his friends come.  He ended up being really hyper and excited the whole time and loved it and keeps asking when ____ can come play again. He would love to have another birthday--maybe just everyday.

A few things about Cade
  • He is 39 inches tall and weighs 35 pounds.  How many people are taller in inches than they weight in pounds?
  • He still loves to mow the lawn and does it almost daily.  He loves his backpack blower and golf club trimmers as well.

  • He really likes tractors.  One of his favorite new games is to dig in playdough and build roads with his little tractors.  We also have a few they stay out in the sandbox so he can dig there.
  • Cade loves to help.  He will always sweep, vacuum, clean bathrooms, weed the garden and mop with me.
  • He is very thoughtful.  When he is in a good mood, he loves to read stories to Cami and share toys with her.  He always makes sure to get one for her too.
  • He is talking better and better.  A few things he says. . . everynone, t instead of c (I tan, betause, Tami, tandy), adds -ed to past tense words (where you putted it, what you saided, I bringed it)
  • He loves to say things like "want to hear something crazy mommy?"  "What the monkey?"  "That's crazy"
  • One of his favorite treats are otter pops.  We eat them pretty much everyday.  Cade likes to get them out of the freezer for everyone, cut the tops off and ask which color we want.  He also likes to go outside and eat them on the grass.
  • Cade likes to do silly tricks like jump backwards, put his hands on the floor and a foot in the air, somersaults etc.  Cami likes to copy.
  • Cade had a great time helping Scott move.  I wasn't there and am not sure what he did, but I do know that he put his mower on Scott's moving truck and it got moved too.
  • He starts a playgroup/preschool next week and a music group for kids this week.  He loves going to nursery and is so happy each Sunday to see his friends and teachers.
  • He is pretty much done taking naps and has been sleeping better at night without the nap.  Some evenings get long, but he goes to bed between 6:45 and 7 and wakes us between 6 and 6:30.
  • He has a great imagination and is always playing and asking questions and trying to figure stuff out.
  • He knows the days of the week and understands the order.  He gets left and right correct often and knows where we are going in the car.  Pretty smart guy.
We love our Cadester.  He is a sweet boy and likes to please.  He is usually really happy.  He loves hugs from Mom

and loves to wrestle and jump on his Daddy.
