Pine Cove Trip

We had an awesome time at Pine Cove Family Camp this past week. We enjoyed being served, listening to an awesome speaker, having fun, and just hanging out. We were so impressed the first night when we got there at dinner. They pretty much took over with taking care of the kids. They sat her booster seat up, cut her food up, and when anyone got fussy a counselor would come over and get the kid and take them outside to play. It was great!!! We also got to sign up to have a counselor sit outside your cabin in the morning while we got to go on Breakfast Trail Rides and they would get Addison up for breakfast and take her to breakfast. We would meet up with them afterwards at Family Devotional time that we had everyday. Kevin had never been horse back riding before so he really enjoyed that. We had such a good time we signed up to go again next year. My cousin, Ricky, and his family (wife Angela, kids Leigh and Avery) went with us. It made the week even better. Here are lots of pictures.

My parents took us to camp since it was 2 hours away from Dallas in Tyler, TX. We stopped here to have lunch and got some peaches.

Every night there was a different theme night. Sunday night was African safari.

Eating in the dining hall

Addison loved going to Cove Kids. She was in the Rollie Pollie class. They had this for her every morning while we went to speaker sessions, after lunch for nap time, and a few evenings. The counselors were great with her.

Hanging out at the pool. She has turned into a CHUNK!!

Monday night was Medieval night. Kevin dressed up as a King with a mullet wig and Joy made him this cape. Addison did not like her princess crown. It only lasted for a minute to take a picture.

We went water rocketing one afternoon. Leigh (4 years old) and my cousin Ricky rode with us.

Hanging out with Daddy.

On Wednesday, the guys went to play golf and us girls went shopping. Janna took us around Tyler and we ate out a little tea room.

Addison with our devotional counselor and her eating a cup. She just loves drinking out of a big girl cup.

Making smores

Horseback riding. Kevin rode Little Joe and he loved to go. He had to always be first. I rode Duke and he was so slow. Pretty much like our Duke.

Senior Portraits anyone??

On Friday afternoon we got to do Cattle Roundup. Here is the wrangler drawing up the game plan. It was a lot of fun.

Friday night was Circus Night. We had a picnic on the lawn. Addison did not like the tiger ears either. Guess I shouldn't waste my money on headbands in the future :)

Paddleboating with Leigh

We had a carnival that night. I played four square. It brought back memories of playing all the time when I was a kid.

Dodgeball game. Kevin and Ricky were so sore the next day.

Me and Leigh and Mark (brother in law), Janna (sister), me and Angela (cousin in law)

15 Months Old

I can't believe Addison is already 15 months old. Time just flies. We went to the doctor yesterday for her 15 month checkup. She weighs 23 1/2 lbs and is 30 inches long. The doctor said she is in the 50th percentile and looks great.
Things she enjoys doing:
1. Loves taking things in and out of containers
2. Loves fruit snacks
3. Eats pretty good with a spoon. She gets tired pretty quickly and starts using her hands. She likes to hand me the spoon so I can finish feeding her.
4. Words she can say: Momma, Daddy, Thank You, Hi, ByeBye
(We were at the doctors office and vet yesterday. She was just telling everyone hi. It was so cute.
5. If we are somewhere and I say do you want to go bye bye she runs to the door and says bye bye.
6. She has started loving to wear shoes. I bought her some fake crocs and she loves them.
7. Loves playing with Annabelle and Micah. My babysitters' kids. She says Annabelle and Addison treat each other like sisters. They fight and aggrevate each other but then love on each other.
8. Started riding in the car grocery cart at the grocery store. Last time I went she didn't want to sit in the cart. She wanted the car buggy. Mackenzie, her babysitter, puts the 2 kids in there when they go grocery shopping. Addison was just riding in the car tooting the horn and looking back at me and smiling. She was having the best time. It was so cute.
9. Loves to help feed the dogs and also likes to eat dog food. I have to get it out of her hands and mouth.

We did some yard work this past month. Kevin built a rock wall and then we had half of our yard sodded. It looks so good.

We leave today to fly to Texas. We will be in Dallas until Sunday and then going to a week of family camp at Pine Cove Christian Camps in Tyler,TX. We are looking forward to it.
