Swimming

This was Annalee's first time to go swimming this summer. I had been hesitant to take both girls by myself this summer and it seemed like Kevin and I always had something going on when we could go together. We took them last Sunday to my friend, Joy's neighborhood pool. I figured Annalee would like it since she loves taking baths so much. She really enjoyed it and Addison did too.

4 Months Old

Can't believe our little Annalee is already 4 months old. Time has gone by so quickly.
Here are some things about her for last month:
1. At her 4 month checkup she weighed 14 lbs 2 oz and 24 inches long (now she is smaller than Addison was at 4 months 14lbs 9 oz)
2. She really likes to talk to you. She looks at you and smiles and sometimes just starts laughing. I hope she has her daddy's personality.
3. She is sleeping all night long. She hasn't woke up at night in a at least a month, maybe longer.
4. She loves playing in her exersaucer and loves watching her sister.
5. If she could have it her way, she would love for her mom to hold her all the time when she is awake.
6. She is doing great at Dandyland now, her school. She only goes 2 days a week and doesn't seem to mind it. Her sister on the other hand, loves going.
7. Annalee had 2 new cousins born: Reid Aaron Cheshier (Joy and Kasey's son) born Aug 27 and Jane Anne Smith (Jennifer and Jay's daughter) born September 6. We can't wait to see them.
8. We took her tailgating for the first time. She did great. We haven't taken her to a game yet. I think we will wait on that.
9. She loves to grab things in her hand and has a very tight grip.
10. She still spits up a lot. We have to wear a bib most of the time.
11. She loves getting a bath each night with Addison.
12. I am loving her pretty blue eyes. Never thought I would have a blue eyed child.

We love her more and more each day.

The Start of Another Auburn Football Season

Saturday marked the first game of the season for Auburn. We took Addison to the pep rally Friday night. She has started to love Aubie, the mascot. We have a book we read. At the end she yells, "War Eagle Hey!" She calls anything Auburn, her War Eagle Hey shirt, but she especially loves her cheerleader outfit.

The whole time at the pep rally she would ask, " Where Aubie go?" At the end, we found him. Kevin asked if he would take a picture with them. He stood next to them and Addison just started wailing. It was priceless. A minute after the picture and Aubie left, she again kept on asking, "Where Aubie go?"

Getting ready to go tailgating on Saturday (We had to wash her cheerleader outfit so she could wear it again since she loves it so much)

Tailgating and enjoying a Capri Sun

Annalee taking a nap at the tailgate spot

This was the tailgate next to us. At one point, Addison picked her chair up from our tailgate spot and moved it to this spot by the boys. The boys didn't give her any attention, so she picked her chair up and moved it back to her spot.

Annalee and Mommy

Addison found some new friends to play with at another tailgate spot. Who knew the back of a minivan could be so much fun!
We took them back in the afternoon to take a nap and then had Lauren, their babysitter, come and take care of them so me and Kevin could go to the game. It was a fun day.

A Busy Week

We had a busy week last week. Kevin's grandfather wasn't doing well and was in the hospital. He passed away on Tuesday. The funeral was on Thursday and Maleah, his sister, got married on Saturday. It was a nice time to be with family, but also very busy time.

Addison was a flower girl in her Aunt E's wedding. We took her with us to get a pedicure. Of course she wanted to pick out all the colors of nail polish. I think she wanted purple, blue, green and orange.

She had fun putting her feet in the water.

Getting ready for the wedding

Addison with Uncle Zach waiting for the rain to stop. It rained and the power went off about an hour before the wedding. The rain stopped thankfully and the power came back on right before we were going to start the wedding without it. It made the night so much cooler.

Aunt E telling her girls goodbye. She moved to Kansas City with Zach. We sure are going to miss her in Auburn with us. Addison loves her Aunt E.

Addison and Hedaddy (an Alabama fan) reading her War Eagle Hey! book. Addison started calling him Hedaddy this summer and the name stuck.

Here is PawPaw at our house celebrating his 88th birthday last April. He came to see us for the weekend with Momma Rose.

Water is the new toy

Addison loves playing in the water. She wants to wash her hands constantly. Also, wants to help wash dishes in the kitchen sink. Lately, she has gotten her sippy cups and bowls and fills them all up with water. I have had to change my location of the cups since it was getting to be to big of a mess. Now we only have a few at a time. Before, she would fill every cup and bowl in the drawer with water.

One day I taught her how to put a coaster under her sippy cup when she was in the living room. Ever since then, it has stuck with her. She always makes sure she has a coaster under each cup and even makes sure everyone else has one as well.
