Cooking in the Kitchen

We had fun making taco soup together one Saturday morning.

Sister was just dying to try some chips

Our Football Weekends

When you live in a college town it is just expected that you will go to the home football games. It is hard to pass them up when they are right down the street. This year, the Auburn games have been a lot of fun. We have enjoyed tailgating with friends in the morning. Then Kevin and I go to the games and get Lauren, the girl's babysitter, to come stay with us during the game. Can't believe Auburn is #1!!! Hopefully they will keep on winning.

Tailgating on Saturday morning for Arkansas game

This past weekend we decided to go on a walk in the morning instead of rushing to the tailgate. We got Lauren to come over about 12 and then Kevin and I walked to the game. On our walk we decided to stop at the Auburn University sign. We wanted to get some pictures of the girls, and of course Duke had to be in the pictures as well. Ally doesn't get in pictures much because it is just too hard to keep 2 dogs still.

Last Weekend

Last weekend I had to work so it was Daddy time. Momma Rose, Uncle Tyler and Aunt Heather came up to visit on Saturday.

Addison got to go get ice cream on Saturday night since she went poop in the potty. Somehow she forgot how to do it last week and was having trouble going in her pants. That is the first thing she learned in potty training and then came the tee tee. We were doing good without any accidents for a while and then all of a sudden she forgot about pooping. We had to do a reward system to get her going again. This weekend she got to get ice cream. Momma Rose taught her how to hold her ice cream up to keep Duke and Ally from getting it.

5 Months Old

Annalee is now 5 months old. She has such a cute personality.
-She is still sleeping well at night (usually 12 hours)
-She still just drinks milk. I haven't started cereal yet. Maybe next week.
-She enjoys sitting in her new Bumbo
-Still loves to be held a lot
-Loves smiling at Addison
-Loves getting a bath
-Did great on her second trip to Texas

At school, her teachers decorated the room for football season. Here is Annalee with her tongue out in her football jersey.

Our Trip to Texas

We spent last weekend visiting my family in Texas. We got to meet Reid (Kasey and Joy's new baby), took a trip to the State Fair of Texas, and just had fun hanging out with family and friends.

On Friday we took a trip to the fair. I hadn't been there since high school I think. It was fun. We only made it until about 2pm with all the kids. We took all the kids on the ferris wheel.

Addison with Daddy and Big Tex. She loved Big Texas and wanted to hear him talk to her. She would continue to say, even when we were back at the house, "I want to see Big Tex". We found him on Utube so he could talk to her. Addison would say "Big Tex talk to me!"

Our trip home on the airplane.

I was very nervous about this flight. Kevin went back Sunday and I wanted to stay till Tuesday. So that meant I would be flying by myself with the 2 girls. I was worried about this, but prayed that God would help me through. On the way to the airport, Addison got a fever. Luckily I had some Tylenol in my bag. I gave her some and she just wanted to ride in the stroller and lay down. I was beginning to wonder how this was going to go. Let me tell you, I have never had so much help at the airport. I thought I would just try and ask if my parents could come to the gate with me to help me. The ticket counter said, "Sure, no problem!" So they gave my parents a gate pass. They stayed with me until we got on the plane. When we went down the walkway someone was there to help me with my stroller. Addison didn't have fever anymore so she was a lot happier. Her ears where turned on, thankfully, and listened very well. We got in our seats. The plane wasn't full so we had a whole row to ourselves. Addison sat and looked out the window and Annalee was a little fussy, but she got better. Halfway through the flight Addison had to go potty. So we head to the bathroom. We had to wait a while so I was talking to this sweet family in the back of the plane. When it was our turn the flight attendant asked if she could help me, so I let her hold Annalee. That bathroom was too tiny for 3 people! So we had a successful trip to the potty. We got back to our seats and landed pretty soon after that. I waited until most everyone was off. The family I met in the back of the plane were walking out and asked if I could use any help. They wouldn't take no for an answer. One person grabbed my diaper bag, one grabbed the stroller and put Addison in it for me, and then all I had was Annalee walking through the airport to the baggage claim. When I got to the end, Momma Rose and Hedaddy where there waiting on us. They saw me with my group of friends I had met. God was so good to me!!! He gave me confidence that I can do this again.

I was even able to get out my camera and snapped these 2 photos on the flight!!
