Oh my gosh I can't believe my baby is 3!! Wow, time really does fly by. Gracie has been looking forward to her birthday since her cousin Sophie's in October. I would always tell her that her birthday was after Christmas.... so when anyone asked Grace when her birthday was she would say "after Christmas." So when it finally came she was SO excited, we went swimming, to dinner at Red Lobster, had cake & ice cream, and she had her special shopping date with my dad & Connie (from the time they turn 3 they take them shopping and let them pick out their own presents.) She had a wonderful LONG celebration!! She told her dad when she was opening one of her presents "Thanks Daddy this is the best day ever!!) Oh man this little girl is such a joy for her dad & I, she totally runs the show, but we wouldn't have it any other way!! She is so smart and makes us laugh constantly! We love you Gracie Girl!
Kyle, Gracie, My Dad, Connie & I took a little road trip! First stop Vegas, we had a nice dinner and we were able to spend time with my brother who just moved there. The next day we went to my G&G Redman's in Queen Valley, Arizona. We had a fantastic stay, we golfed, shopped, my grandma cooked wonderful meals, and just got to hang out and relax in the warm weather!! I could totally move to the warm for the winter. It was also nice to meet up with Jake and Vanessa for ice cream. Great Great Stay!! Thanks Dad & Connie for letting us tag along and thanks Grandma & Grandpa for being such wonderful hosts!
I love this picture of Grace, it is during the children's message at church. The pastor was asking the kids some questions "Who is John the Baptist?" and she raised her hand every time (monkey see monkey do) She is growing up so fast, a few months ago she wouldn't go without Jaesa and now she won't let Jaesa come with her!! Before I know it this little Miss is going to be 18!! I am so lucky to be her mom, she amazes & makes me laugh everyday!! I am so so blessed, she is such a wonderful little girl.
We had a wonderful Christmas this year, it was the first time that we were able to enjoy Christmas morning together in our own home. We started our festivities off on Christmas Eve with my dad & Connie, I look forward to this every year! Skeet shoot(Kyle won for the boys and I won for the girls, go Bradshaw's WOOO!!), giving to families in need, eating wonderful food, and opening gifts. It was grand!! Then Christmas morning, after seeing what Santa brought we went to my G&G Smyer's for breakfast and more gifts, followed by church which was wonderful & Gracie looked so cute, then home for a bit and back to my grandparents for dinner. Such a wonderful weekend!! We are so blessed!
My mom along with her 4 kids made a quick trip to New York City. We have all been several times, but it was on our bucket list to see it during the Christmas Season. It was AMAZING, seeing all the lights, the window displays, the Radio City Rockets, walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, shopping and on and on and on!! It was a blast. We left on a Tuesday night after Jaesa was finished with dance, the best part was that she had no idea. My mom and I even packed her bag, so when she got in the car my mom asked her where she wanted to eat.... and Kyle said "what about a steak dinner in NYC?" (he really wished at that very moment his improve skills were a little better, a steak dinner?? :) Jaes was so shocked! It was such a fun adventure for the 5 of us!
Sophie always want to have a sleep over at Gracie's house, but the couple of times that she has tried she is fine until its time to go to sleep. So last night when Nic was dropping Gracie off Soph was crying to stay, so we gave it a go again..... and she made it thru the night no problem!! We started our night with a soak in the hot tub, followed by decorating a gingerbread house. They had big fun and Sophie was so proud of herself this morning knowing that she did it!
