in „rosa & gelb“… ist diese Woche die Herausforderung bei OMM.
Das ist für mich echt eine Herausforderung, weil ich gerade diese beiden Farben zwar oftmals in meinen Reste-HG mit dabei habe, aber meistens nicht alleine. Farbkombinationen sind oft für mich schwierig. Ich mag es eigentlich lieber so richtig knallig bunt. 😉
Hier habe ich dann mit DO in pink-yellow meinen HG gestaltet. Etwas softer, denn ganz so knallig hat es mir überhaupt nicht gefallen. Zusammen mit Stempeln von Penny Black, Stampin Up! + Craft Emotions habe ich dann versucht eine vorösterliche Frühlingsstimmung einzufangen.

Spring magic in “Pink & Yellow” … that’s this week’s challenge at OMM.
This is a real challenge for me because, while I often have these two colors in my leftover BG, they’re usually not used on their own. Color combinations are often tricky for me. I actually prefer really bright, bold colors. 😉
So I made my BG with DO in pink and yellow. A bit softer, because I didn’t like it quite that bright at all. Together with stamps from Penny Black, Stampin Up! and Craft Emotions, I tried to capture a pre-Easter springtime vibe.

Frühling lässt sein blaues Band

„… wieder flattern durch die Lüfte…“ diese Woche für SPA zum Thema Frühling.
Jetzt blühen wieder die Frühlingsblumen in all ihrer Pracht: Krokusse, Narzissen, Tulpen, Anemonen und Ranunkeln. Ich habe mich für meien Karte für blaue Anemonen entschieden.In natura sind sie dann eher lila-blau. Das hätte aber nicht zu meinem HG in den pastelligen Fabrn, blau, grün, gelb, organe gepasst. Die Art den HG-Stempel in Aquarelltechnik zu benutzen stammt aus einem Video von Tracy Evans.

“Spring lets its blue ribbon flutter through the air once more…” ( the first two lines of the poem “Er it’s” by Eduard Möricke) … this week’s theme for SPA is spring.
Now the spring flowers are blooming again in all their glory: crocuses, daffodils, tulips, anemones, and ranunculus. For my card, I decided on blue anemones. In real life, they’re more of a lilac-blue. But that wouldn’t have gone well with my background in pastel colors—blue, green, yellow, and orange.
The technique for using the BG stamp with watercolors comes from a video by Tracy Evans.

Mit dem Katharine-Hepburn-Spruch von HeinDesign wollte ich schon immer mal eine Geburtstagskarte gestalten. Die Frauenmotiven von Katzelkraft passen aus meiner Sicht perfekt dazu. 😉
Virtuell gebe ich den Kuchen gerne an Deann weiter. 😉

Birthday Cake … this week for OMM.
I always wanted to create a birthday card using the Katharine Hepburn quote by HeinDesign. In my opinion, the female motifs by Katzelkraft are the perfect match. 😉
I’d love to virtually pass the cake on to Deann. 😉

… diese Woche zum Thema „Favorite Flowers“ bei SPA.
Ich mag alle Blumen, aber besonders gern die ersten Frühlingsblumen: Krokusse, Tulpen, Narzissen, Anemonen, Ranunkeln. Und weil Krokusse mit ihrem Blütenmeer gleich nach den Schneeglöckchen blühen, habe ich sie für meine Frühlinhgskarte ausgewählt.☺️

… ist diese Woche das Thema bei SPA.
Inzwischen wird dieser Tag offiziell sehr betont. Aber ich finde, es geht nicht um Mann gegen Frau, sondern darum geimensam für Veränderungen und vollständige Gleichberechtigung zu kämpfen. Der Spruch von Clara Zetkin, eine entschiedene Friedenskämpferin und Fauenrechtlerin, hat da aus meiner Sicht nichts von seiner Gültigkeit verloren.

This day is now officially very much emphasized. But I think it’s not about men versus women, but about fighting together for change and complete equality. In my opinion, the quote by Clara Zetkin, a determined peace activist and women’s rights activist, has lost none of its validity.
Her quote means roughöy translated: “You can’t make a revolution with women who keep the richness of their feelings trapped in a thimble or a cooking pot.”

… diese Woche für OMM zum Thema “ HOW WAS YOUR WINTER“.
Mein diesjähriger Winter war überwiegend trist, grau mit wenig Sonne. Aber dann Mitte Januar wurde es richtig kalt, und an einigen Tagen schien dazu die Sonne. Einen solchen Nachmittag habe ich versucht stempelmäßig einzufangen. (Die Tage an denen man nur gerutscht ist, und darauf achten musste, sich nicht alle Knochen zu brechen, meine ich damit natürlich nicht… Der Winterdienst hat da zeimlich versagt!)

This year’s winter was mostly dreary and gray with very little sunshine. But then in mid-January, it got really cold, and on some days the sun even came out. I tried to capture one of those afternoons in my rubber stamped scene. (Of course, I’m not referring to the days when you just slipped and had to be careful not to break all your bones… The winter road maintenance service pretty much failed in that regard!)

I didn’t quite finish my rubber stamped card for this due to time constraints. So I added the “rest” digitally.
The german saying means roughly: „I like odd people. The black sheep, the strange birds, the outcasts, the loners, the lost and forgotten. Most of the time, these people have the most beautiful souls.“

Meine Trauerkarte ist zum plötzlichen Tod meiner Klassenkameradin, mit der ich zusammen einen Beruf gelernt und Abitur gemacgt hat.
Mich hat ihr plötzlicher Tod sehr bewegt. Sie war an der Ostsee zu Hause. Deshalb habe ich das auch als maritime Szene gestaltet.
Ich selber mag keine Trauerkarten in hartem schwarz-weß-Kontrast. Bei mir muss es immer ein bisschen Farbe sein. Und die Karte soll auch zur Persönlichkeit des Verstorbenen passen. (Diese wurde auch in meiner Familie, sowie von meiner Schulfrendin für gut befunden.)
Diese Woche zum Thema „Sympathy“ bei SPA.

My sympathy card is for the sudden death of my classmate, with whom I learned a profession and graduated from high school.
I was deeply moved by her sudden death. She lived on the Baltic Sea, which is why I designed the card with a maritime theme.
I don’t like myself condolence cards with stark black and white contrasts. For me, there always has to be a little color. And the card should also match the personality of the deceased. (This was also approved by my family and my school friend.)
This week for the theme „Sympathy“ for SPA.
The german saying means: „With sympathy“. „It is not the sun that sets, but the world that turns.“

… diese Woche für OMM zum Thema „Illustriertes Gedicht“.
Ich habe mir jetzt kein klassisches Gedicht dafür ausgesucht, sondern einen poetischen Songtext von Kurt Demmler / Stephan Trepte für einen Song der Gruppe Lift. Dafür habe ich sowohl mit Stempeln gearbeitet, als auch den Text und die Hauptzeile des Songs digital bearbeitet.

„My heart shall be like water…“ This week for OMM for the theme of “Illustrated Poem”.
I didn’t choose a classic poem for this, but rather poetic lyrics by Kurt Demmler / Stephan Trepte (no english entry available) for a song by the band Lift (no english entry available either). I worked with stamps as well as digitally editing the lyrics and the main line of the song.
With my school English, I am not able to translate this wonderful text even remotely adequately. The german lyrics you can find here.
