5th Wedding Anniversary

After I had Claire my good friend Sydne offered to watch Claire for us so that we could go on a date. Since Levi was so busy with school, work and church duties I told her we would wait until the semester was over to take her up on her offer. Well once school got out the approaching holidays kept us busy with family. Once Christmas and New Years was over we were talking about what we wanted to do for our anniversary and we decided it was time to take Sydne up on her offer.
We didn't do anything super fancy but it was nice to be able to ride in the front seats together and hold hands like the old days. Levi even got my door which used to be a common thing until Claire came along. We went to the hospital cafeteria and ate because we had a gift card. I actually really like their food. Levi always makes his own special order calzone. I had never tried their calzones before and decided to give them a try. I was impressed it was super yummy! I was a little bummed when they were out of frozen yogurt because it sounded good. So for dessert we went to
Kiwi Loco and ended up running in to a girl we were in the single's ward with. After Kiwi Loco we couldn't think of anything else to do so we went and walked around the mall. We were able to find a Boise State shirt for me on clearance at Shopko.

These aren't the best pictures but it is the only ones I have from the evening.

Kristen's 25th Birthday

I told Levi the only thing I wanted for my birthday was to not have to make dinner. I also told him I didn't want to have to bake my own birthday cake this year. He didn't have work today which was nice. We were able to spend the whole day together as a family. We went and ate at Janitzio Mexican Restaurant for lunch. Then he took me to different stores to try and figure out what to get me for my birthday. We couldn't find a Boise State shirt for me so I got a rolling pin for my birthday. The only thing that wasn't very fun about my birthday was I was trying to get over being sick.

You know you are getting older when it is required you purchase 2 packages of candles in order to have enough for your cake.

My Boston Creme cake that Winco made. It wasn't too bad and I don't normally like cake so that is saying something.
I was afraid I was going to catch my shirt on fire with all the candles.
I don't have very many pictures of Claire and I so I made Levi take one today.

Christmas 2015

Christmas this year was a little different then it ever has been for Levi and I. I had to work at Heritage Assisted Living and Levi ended up shoveling snow with his landscape boss. For the most part it was kind of just any other day to us. When we finally got home Christmas evening we Skyped the Greens because they wanted to watch us open the gift they got for us. It was our first Christmas where it was just Levi and I hanging out. Honestly it was kind of boring since there were no kids to watch open presents. The other thing that we missed out on was talking to my sister Naomi on her mission in Wisconsin.

Merry Christmas Love the Kents!

Gingerbread houses

Lawna and Karson needed to do some Christmas shopping in Twin Falls and I offered to entertain their kids while they were gone. We had fun decorating these gingerbread houses today.

Collin and Malia made this one together.
Kasen with the one he decorated.
 Brittana with her decorated house.
Levi and I worked on this one together.
After Lawna and Karson got back from shopping. Levi, Brittana, Karson and I went to check out Ross here in Twin.

Cars

During high school I worked at Magic Valley Chalet in Heyburn, ID. I did various jobs like scooped ice cream, re-stocked the Gossner shelf-life milk, bagged pounds and pounds of cheese curd, and cut up 40 lb blocks of cheese by standing on a milk crate. When I would be cutting cheese and someone would walk in the door and see me putting all my weight on the double handled knife they would say "Hey look she is cutting the cheese!" They thought they were funny. Long story short a lot of the money I made at this job I saved. With $700 cash in my hand I bought my first car 2 months before moving out of the house in April 2011.
Fast forwarding to a couple months ago this car started making weird engine noises. It had over 242,000 miles on it. It needed new tires badly as you can tell in this picture they are practically flat. Levi and I decided it was probably time to look for something else. I put this car in the driveway with a sign saying I would sell it for $500. It sat in the driveway for almost two months and I had decided no one wanted it. I called around to local junk yards to see what they would give me for it. The most I was going to get was maybe $150-$200 if I was lucky.
Literally the day Levi and I had planned to drive it to the junk yard a Hispanic guy calls me and tells me he wants to look at it. This guy shows up and in broken English asks if he can drive it down the alleyway. I tell him it needs new tires badly and that I don't know what exactly is wrong with the engine or why it has been squealing. He decides he will take the car and is going to pay me $500 for it. I just couldn't take that much for it so I sold it to him for $200. I am just glad it ended up being useful for someone instead of sitting in a junk yard.

"Flo" My very first car a 1994 Pontiac Bonneville.
I loved this car's V-6 engine it could accelerate so fast. Even though it is a grandma looking car it was very spacious.

To replace Flo we bought this car from Levi's landscaping bosses family. It is a 2002 Chevy Impala and it has 205,000 miles on it. We checked it out and the only thing we found that didn't work was the power locks/ windows. We decided to purchase it for $1000.

Thanksgiving 2015

For Thanksgiving the Ritchie's let us spend the holiday with them in Layton, UT. Craig, Jordan,Vallyn and Berthier, Joe and Jennifer and their children were there as well. We ate lots of food because what else are you supposed to do on a holiday that is basically all about food?? At one point Jennifer, Angie and I decided to brave the crowds at the store and see what deals we could find. I found some new socks, pajama pants, and new pillows.

Oh and don't forget the naps we took after eating all the food.

Friday evening Levi and I left and went to Pleasant Grove to stay with the Greens. The next morning we had the annual "Stoker Fakesgiving". Katelyn woke up with hand, foot and mouth and so we kept her in a separate room away from everyone else.

The kids were being cheerleaders and shouting for who they wanted to win.
Ethan, Jeni, Daryl and Whitney played a game of ball.

Josh, Maci, Greyson and Annette
Carter opened a boobie-trap for his white elephant gift. I think he was a little embarrassed.

All in all it was a loud, drama filled day with the Stokers.

We went with Tolleys on the way home from Lehi, UT to Salt Lake to see the Candy windows. Every year on the way back from Stoker's Thanksgiving we would stop in and see my Dad's sister's family the Davidson's up Emigration Canyon.
Growing up it was tradition to drive by the ZCMI building to see the candy sculptures they made every year. When the ZCMI was knocked down Macy's took over and kept the tradition going.

This year it was all Peanut themed.
