Packing Packing Packing

I'll be extremely busy this week. I thought I could have a break after Rhema and CAMY retreat but I think I won't exactly get my break until I step on the plane on Sunday!

I'm both excited and sad to leave. Sad 'cos I know my mummy and daddy would be worried for my safety. I think they'll miss me much! I will miss them too! Last night, my brother left for Korea. I won't see him until chinese new year because he'll only be back one day after I leave. I'm excited because I know it's gonna be a whole new experience for me. Whee...

Please pray with me! For many things!

1. that I'll be able to adapt to the weather changes. IMPORTANT

2. for ministry opportunities. :)

3. for my family

4. Safety and journey mercy where ever I go

5. for a good working environment

6. for nice housemates! :)

Ah, few more days, few more days!

Focus.

I enjoyed today's sermon, by Pastor Daniel Chua from Conerstone Church (I think). He preached about FOCUS and whao.. It really spoke to my spirit. Especially in this time of my life... Timely message.

My take home points:

- How we feel is determined by our subjective focus.
- Our internal attitude is more important than our external circumstances.
- We see what we are looking for - as human beings, we tend to see the negatives but we need to learn to see the POSITIVES.
- Be a WORSHIPPER in ALL circumstances, not a complainer.
- Learn to give thanks to God in ALL circumstances. For thanksgiving unlocks the presence of God.

So true. So true.

Earlier this week (and late last week), I was on the complaining mode. My attitude towards things that went wrong was nothing more than sucky. I was upset and disappointed. Joey reminded me to look at things in perspective and stop complaining, but have a positive attitude because we cannot control circumstances. However, we can control how we RESPOND to the situation.

I learned over the week that when I learned to give thanks to God for what has happened, and go through the problems with an open spirit, a spirit of learning, the problems were SO small.

I learned also that I run on encouragements. Who doesn't? We should not be stingy with our encouragements... We should see the effort that someone has put in and not the mistake that the person has made.

"Count it ALL JOY, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you my be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." James 1:2-4

These series of unfortunate events was nothing short of a time of learning, a period of maturing and a season of moulding. HEEHEE.

Your Grace Is Enough For Me.

Yes Lord, Your grace is enough, sufficient for me. :)

You remember Your people,
You remember Your children,
You remember Your promises.

Thank you Lord.

Counting Down

12 days to Rhema.

20 days to ... i.l.y.t.t.e. heehee

26 days to Shanghai. The New Chapter in my Life.

28 days to Harbin.

Cool beans!

I went kickboxing today. With Cons. Ruo's in Shanghai and Clar's in hall. I drove there.

Lo and Behold! I got a summon! MY FIRST SUMMON.

HOW SWAY.

For the 10 times ruo drove there, she didn't put any coupon, she didn't get summoned.

Today, my first time, I got FINED.

I took the offense quite lightly because I did not want to brood over it. I mean, I looked at it as a lesson and something that I will not commit again. When my dad found out about it. He SCREAMED at me! The whole thing was not funny anymore. SIGH.

I was looking through my 21st birthday photos just now. I kinda miss it!
As I look back, I really thank God for the many who have been involved in my life one way or another.
I thank God for the people who came!
I thank God for the "photographers" and the "planners".
I thank God for the TMNTM episode that we had after the party and the crrraaazeeeee photos we took after that.
I thank God for my daddy who spent hours making the video for me. He loves me. I know that.
