Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving week at Kristi's parents house, lovingly called "The Compound" because my brother lives next door. Here is a picture of the back of the house/farm

We had several activities that we did during the week.....
There was Family Feud

Human Foosball

Movies
Games

THE WINNER (You Decide)

Thanksgiving Dinner
Paint Ball --- Shoot the Turkey (or Scotia)

Horseback Riding
Thanks Aunt Jill

and of course

The Assassination game.
I probably should not put more details about that game in case any of us end up on the wrong side of the law one day. Our excuse maybe that it all started with that game that my brother Dan made us play. Note that it was played with nerf guns, and no animals were harmed:)
But most of all we just enjoyed being together and we can not wait to do it again.

Fall Pictures

It is so fun to have GIRLS, because when the camera comes out it is PLAY TIME. I was so inspired by some lovely pictures I have seen on others blogs, that I thought I would go out today and have some fun.......Who knows, one day I may even try to be good at this, for now though just fun..... ENJOY

Happy Halloween

This is Flemming's favorite Holiday......He liked it better as a young boy though when it was all about the scare......When the girls use to say they wanted to be a princess, he would say "why not a dead princess" Oh how he would love to have a boy.

So here are a few pictures from the night.......
We had The Cow Girl and her Horse, The 50's Girl, and then our cousin was Bat Girl.

Our New Home

Our New Home
If all Goes Well

After a stressful three days of looking at houses. We are pleased to say that we found one that we feel is going to be a happy home for our family. One person I know even said "it is the best street in the neighborhood". And it has plenty of room for guest. Even if it didn't you would be welcome. So after Dec You can start planning your trips.

I need to make a post about the emotional ups and downs of moving, but that will have to wait for another day. A post about how we decided on this house would be good too, but yet still another day.

The Aase Pool (not mine)

Did I tell you that the other Aase family got a pool this summer. (I think I did in the July 4th post) It was very fun to hang out there this summer. Good company and a pool, it does not get any better than that. It made for some fun pictures too.

Did I tell you that Kate was Baptized this summer.

It was a great weekend for her. Full of family and friends. Both sets of Grandparents were here and One of her favorite Aunts and Uncles made the trip ( not that you are not all her favorites)
We felt that she was prepared for the day and excited to make those promises.

We love you Kate and know that you always try hard to do what is right.

(I just put this one in because I think
my father-in-law is so photogenic)

Did I Tell You

What this should be called is "Did I tell you....." just because I have not updated in so long. So I can't decide if this will be one long update post, or just the top one in many that I post, a mass posting of such....

But for starters.....Did I tell you we were moving. We are at the end of Our two year (that turned into three) assignment for P&G. It took a little longer than expected to find the right opportunity back at headquarters, but Flemming is happy with the job he landed. I will just say that he will be working with products that are 3 to 5 years out and he is pleased with the opportunity. His focus groups will be, shall we say interesting.....and because of the 4 girls he lives with, we will be able to be quite the sounding board for him.?????? Any guesses what dept he will be in????

Our lovely house is on the market. Some of you may not remember that because of timing (and my bad attitude about the move) Flemming picked this house out by himself. It has been a lovely home for our family, and I hope and cross my fingers that it will serve another family as well. If you know anyone tell them to click here

A Guessing Game

How long do you think Abby had been home from school in this picture???

Do any of your kids do this. She had been home for 40 mins....I was not here when she came home.....(maddie was, so do not judge me)......I walked in and noticed that she had not taken off her jacket or her backpack, just went right to the wii and started playing......man this girl cracks me up.......she would keep her jacket on all night if I did not tell her to take it off, but the backpack, now that was a new twist........

Two of my Favorite Things

Redskins and Slurpees.....Does it get any better......

Both of these things have their evil side......Not a winning team and ......too much sugar.......but I must say

I am a proud fan of both

and you can tell by the look on my face this discovery made my night.......

(note to self, after you win the lottery and can live and do anything you want, make sure you live close to a 7-11)

More Duluth

The next day we took in two famous sights of the North Shore. Gooseberry Falls and The Split Rock Light House.

Maddie and Kristi playing in the water.....

At the light house the guides try to discourage you from going down to put your feet in the Great Lake.....They tell you that it is 173 steps down.....please, who do they think they are dealing with......Maddie Kate and I went down......

and we got to take these great trick pictures.....OK I know they would have been better if Flemming had walked down the stairs....but he didn't
