Madness with the Maki's

It has been so nice having my mom here. Between her and Kevin I haven't cooked, cleaned or done a single load of laundry since we've been home. I pretty much just take care of Miller! She gets to stay for another week and we're so grateful to have her! And my boys sure love having Grandma around too!

After the hour in recovery they let all our visitors come back. Grandma Laura and Grandpa Roger were the first to meet him. Mason had fallen asleep in car so my mom was letting him take a little nap... But it was a short nap and soon Grandma Jana, Mason, Shery, Balen, Sayge and Shaylee all came up too! Mason wasn't sure what to think...he had just woke up and was a little intimidated by the hospital room and mom being stuck in bed. He warmed up soon though and now he adores his baby brother! Uncle Beve and Aunt Jordan came to visit Monday night. We had to stay in the hospital until Thursday morning. It took Miller a few days to figure out how to eat but once he got the hang of it he hasn't stopped eating! Mason has adjusted so well. He has gotten lots of attention from Daddy and Grandma Jana! And Miller is just a perfect little baby...eats sleeps and goes potty. He only cries when he's hungry and loves to snuggle! Hopefully both boys keep it up...maybe two won't be too bad :)

We had a c-section with our little Miller. We had such an awesome experience! We loved the hospital, our doctor and all our wonderful nurses! We got to the hospital at 5:30 am. We got all checked in and they walked me back to the operating room about 7:45. I got my spinal (which was much easier the expected!) and then they brought Kevin back a little before eight. They started the procedure and we had a screaming baby by 8:03! They checked Miller and he got a perfect apgar score and then they let Kevin hold him by my head until they finished sewing me up. As soon as they were done they took us both back to our room where we had an hour of recovery. Miller tried to eat and he got a bath and all dressed to meet his visitors! It all went perfectly and we couldn't be more thankful!

Miller Andy Maki was born on June 25th at 8:03 am. He was 7 lbs 14 oz and 20 3/4 inches long. He is perfect and we love him to pieces! Life couldn't be any better!
