Kubesch Christmas 2009

This year we began our Christmas celebration on Christmas Eve at Nene and Grandpa's house. We had our Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve and Nene helped Conner and Caroline put out cookies and milk for Santa and hay for the reindeer. The kids were so excited to wake up Christmas morning and see that Santa had been there and all of their goodies were gone. He even made a mess in the fireplace!

Not really sure what to say about this...the picture says it all.

Look what I got!

In true Daddy fashion, we could not celebrate Christmas without a practical joke - Obama ornaments for the guys.

School Christmas Program

This last Saturday, the School held their annual Christmas Program. All of the kids seemed to be confused since it was a Saturday about lunch time - they were wondering what they were doing at school. Of course the confusion resulted in some very upset kids. Both Conner and Caroline cried during the beginning of their performances, but warmed up at the conclusion of their presentations.

Let it Snow!

Yes, it actually snowed in Houston last Friday, December 4th! I left work before lunch to make sure I could get home and get the kids since Wes was out of town. Conner's class played in the snow at school, and both kids were going nuts about the snow when I picked them up. After naptime, I let them go outside and play in the snow. We made a snowman and snowballs. I had to drag both of them inside kicking and screaming. They wanted to stay outside, but unfortunately since this is a rare occurance, I did not have the proper foot and hand attire for them.

Our house at about lunchtime. Not much accumulated in the front due to the trees.

For some reason, the kids wanted to give the snowman very cold hugs.

Family Pictures

Julie agreed to take pictures of our family if I took pictures of her family for our Christmas cards. Here are some of our attempts:

Conner's 3rd Birthday Party

Since Conner is very into trains right now, he had a trained themed birthday party, complete with train rides. I think all of the kids had a great time riding the train.

Conner - 3 years old

Conner is now three years old!! Where did the time go?? He is becoming quite a little man and is very much into everything that screams boy, such as cars, trucks, trains, tackling, and building things. He is still a good eater, however, he no longer inhales his food. I am saying he is 100% potty trained, but has had a few accidents at night. Conner has been requesting a big boy bike for at least the last month, and he finally received one for his birthday. His reaction when he saw the bike was sooo cute. He put both hands over his mouth and walked around the garage repeating, "Ohhh myyy gosh, Ohhh myyy gosh, it's a big boy bike!" At his three year check-up, Conner weighed in at 35 lbs (85%) and 38 3/4 inches (75%). His growth has slowed down, but still a big boy!

He missed one, so Caroline thought she would help out.
