Recent Pictures of Caroline

My first corn on the cob. I loved it and ate two half pieces!

Daddy got creative with the hair accessories. He forgot to get a bow from upstairs so used a twisty tie instead.

I'm ready for spring! I like wearing my glasses so that I can be cool like Conner.

Trip to the River

Daddy took us to the river two weekends ago, while Momma was busy doing some things at home. We had a great time fishing and digging in the dirt!

Update

I have been really busy, so sorry there haven't been any recent postings. Nothing too exciting has been happening. Caroline is now 13 months, walking all over the place, and trying to keep up with Conner. She has lots of teeth and still eats pretty much anything. We found out tonight that she really likes fried okra. We have been enjoying the beautiful spring weather and spending lots of time outside. Stay tuned...

Thanks Granny for the M&Ms!

As you can see in the picture above, Conner is wearing glasses and has been for about two weeks. Doesn't he look so smart and handsome! We decided to take him to a pediatric opthamologist when we noticed one of his eyes was pulling in slightly. Since he was born so early, it is most likely a late side effect (very common in preemies), but could also be inherited. We had to bribe him for two or three days, but now he wears them all the time and gets upset when Caroline tries to take them off. He still has a problem looking through the glasses (usually looks above or below them), but hopefully he will be wearing them properly in the next week or two, so that there is some improvement by his next doctor appointment.

Winter Park, Colorado

Last week, Wes and I took a trip to Winter Park, while the kids stayed with their grandparents. We had gone skiing at least once every year since graduating from college, but missed the last two seasons because we had just had Conner and Caroline. We were afraid we might be a little rusty, but after the first green, we picked it right up again and hit the blues. We were able to improve on our skills by doing steeper hills and even working on the moguls. We are already looking forward to our next ski trip and can't wait to take the kids in a year or two!

Wes and I showed off our skills at one of the ice skating rinks. It didn't take long for both of us to sort of get the hang of it. We might need a little more practice before we are invited to join the Olympic skating team ;)

The Iron Horse Lodge. Check out that snow!

It actually did snow one morning while we were there. However, it stopped snowing prior to the lifts opening at 9 am.

Catch Up!

We have been super busy over the last few weeks and Momma has not had time to update the blog! She is now taking a few minutes to update, while we take a nap. Enjoy!

Snacking outside since the weather is so beautiful!

Tee Rob's 1st Birthday

Two weekends ago we went to Tee Rob's first birthday. Momma can't believe it, but she did not get one picture of Tee Rob at his party. He and Caroline are best buds and play together every day at school.

Daddy and Caroline after we first arrived. Tee Rob is our next door neighbor. Conner cried for thirty minutes prior to arriving at the party because he could see the bouncy next door and kept saying, "I want to go play on the bouncy!" We arrived at the very minute the party started!

Caroline and Abbey on the bouncy.

Conner practicing his golf swing. Maybe Conner and Tee Rob will be playing golf together with their daddies one day.

Children's Museum

Since Momma had off on MLK Day, we took a trip to the Children's Museum, where we met up with Allison, Luke, Davis, and Veronica. While we had a really good time, we were disappointed that the toddler room was closed for renovations. We plan to go back in March when the toddler room will be bigger and better.

Checking myself out at the super market.

Then Luke and I made a trip to the bank. Momma tried to show me how it all worked - I was pretty good at counting the money.
