Belize - Day 4

We went on a half day fishing trip. We didn't have to go far and just went reef fishing, which was close to shore. It was super windy so we were not expecting to get a lot. We caught quite a few fish, but the only really large fish was a barracuda Wes caught. The cook at our villa blackened and grilled some of the snapper we caught for lunch. That is about as fresh as it gets!

Belize - Day 3

We took a full day tour to Lamanai, which included a tour of the rainforest and Mayan ruins.

Part of the tour included a boat ride down the river.

We saw two monkeys in the trees.

Belize - Day 2

This is the only picture I have right now from day 2. All of my other pictures are on the underwater camera, which will be developed later. This is a picture of the private island where we had lunch. We chartered a boat with two guides for a full day. We went snorkeling, snorkeling with manatees, spear fishing, reef fishing, had a picnic with the fish we caught on this private island, and walked Caye Caulker. We had a blast on this trip and saw lots of neat things. The manatee was quite large even though we were told it was a baby. I had a moray eel come out of the reef at me, and saw nurse sharks, sting rays, turtles, lots of fish, coral reef and barracuda.

Last weekend we went home for the Ohrt Family Reunion and had a good time seeing our family. Here are a few pics I took of the kids.
