Catherine Paige Kubesch Has Arrived!

We never thought I would make it to 39 weeks, but my docter induced me last Wednesday, November 16th. I had been having contractions for about two weeks, so once she started the induction, things moved pretty fast and Catherine arrived at 1:41 pm. She weighed 7 lbs 6 oz and was 19.25 inches long.

She has been a great baby so far and seems to be a good eater, just like her big brother and sister. Conner and Caroline weren't really sure what to make of things at the hospital, but since we've been home, they have certainly warmed up to her and are constantly wanting to hold her. Everytime she so much as makes a little noise, they run to her side to see whats wrong, and if she is crying tell her, "Don't cry Catherine, it will be alright." Super sweet, so we will see if that lasts!

Morning after her arrival.

Ready for newborn pictures at the hospital.

Conner's 5th Birthday

I took off last Thursday so that we could do something special for Conner's real birthday. I gave him several options and he chose Gatti Town for lunch, then Red Lobster for dinner - so he could eat his favorite food - shrimp. He picked out some batman cupcakes at the bakery and we enjoyed those after dinner.

We postponed planning a birthday part for Conner until the very last minute. Once we made the decision to have a small gathering, Conner decided he wanted a dinosaur party. We managed to find some entertainent at the last minute and everyone had a blast, but most importantly, Conner loved it.

Conner's development continues to explode and he surprises us every day with the things that he knows. He is a fantastic reader, can add and subtract triple digits to triple digits with carrying, has knowledge of all sorts of science topics, can count money and tell time, and is an incredible speller.

The last five years have been such a blessing and we look forward to what each new day brings!

Halloween 2011

This year for Halloween, Conner was a blue Power Ranger and Caroline was Tinker Bell. We had our annual Tattershall Lane Halloween Party and had lots of fun with our friends and neighbors. Wes and I dressed as a football player and cat, however, we failed to get a family picture this year.

Fall Fun

Yesterday morning, we went to Frobergs Farm in Alvin. We have previously taken the kids because they enjoy shopping at the Farmer's Market, but right now they have a small pumpkin patch and a hayride around the farm. Conner and Caroline enjoyed learning about the farm, and of course, loved the hayride.

Balloonar Liftoff Festival

Yesterday, we took Conner and Caroline to the Balloonar Liftoff Festival at Johnson Space Center. We had originally planned to go later in the evening to watch the balloon liftoff, but we ended up being so close to the area at lunch time we decided to just go then. As a result, we did not see the hot air balloons, but we saw lots of other neat things: snakes, birds, emergency vehicles, hobby rocket launces, parachuters, hangliders, and remote controlled acrobatic planes. Since it was a festival, we also had some carnival fun. The kids absolutely loved it and next year we will have to go back to see the hot air balloons liftoff.

Sports Fun

Caroline has been going to ballet class at school for the last few months, but Monday mornings are always crazy and I forget to take a picture. Finally remembered this week.

Fall T-Ball 2011

Since I have been put on very restricted activity by my doctor, I don't have many pictures to share. Wes has been taking the kids places, but does not take the camera with him. Conner did start T-ball two weeks ago and has played three games so far. He does not know anyone on his team, but is having lots of fun. This year his team name is the Texas Tech Red Raiders.

Posing before his first game.

Running from 2nd to 3rd.

Running home.

Getting a little coaching from Daddy.

Action shot!

Looks like he is posing for me, but he is really waiting for the coach to tell him it is okay to hit the ball.

Conner played pitcher this inning and is throwing to 1st base.

Successfully stopped the ball.

Throwing to first again.

Heading home.

Recent Pictures

I got a little behind on having the kids pictures taken, but we managed to squeeze it in on my two weeks off. As always, both performed for the camera.

Labor Day 2011

We spent the Labor Day weekend and holiday with Ben and Ashley Wulf and Kim and Deuce Wulf and their families. We rented a beach house in Galveston and the kids had a blast playing together. It was great to see them and we hope we can do it again after the Kubesch and Wulf babies arrive.

The tropical storm in the Gulf had a negative impact on the weather, but not on the fun we had.

Wes and the kids ran in the water after we arrived.
