The Kubesch Family

On Monday, August 26th, Conner and Caroline started back to school.  They were both excited as Caroline entered kindergarten and Conner began 1st Grade.  They have had a good first week at school and both are enjoying spending time with their friends.  I have enjoyed spending time with Catherine and resting this last week before our baby girl arrives.

This is the last week of "summer" and Conner and Caroline start school next week.  We are trying to fit in their favorite things this week to end the summer with a bang.  On Monday we went to the zoo.  The weather was very nice for August and not too hot.  Lucky for me the kids wanted to see lots of indoor exhibits and I was just fine with that.  We also had a picnic in the park under the trees, which was nice and breezy and ended the visit with a ride on the train (requested by Catherine).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We made another day trip to Galveston in late July.  We went to a new beach to us, West Beach, and loved it.  There was no seaweed and the bottom was very sandy.  Of course the kids loved it and the highlight was catching lots of little crabs.  Below are pictures from the trip.
