Little Beauty!

Can't get enough of my baby or camera!  Love them both!

Oh... memories!

I never grow tired of this little face!  A memory from summer days... pajamas most of the day, picnics in the living room floor, lunch with strawberries, blueberries, another fruit, and turkey sandwich with a glass of milk.... this just makes me smile!

Throw Back to June

Love when Carson and Kaylan come and stay with us!  Lots of fun and games!  It won't be long, though, until they are all grown up!  So these are precious memories!

Memories of Summer

A trip back in June to Henagar... Aunt Whitney supplied us with a trove of Frozen items and fun on the golf cart!

Growing up...

My first baby was my brother and sister-in-law's - Carson!  I basically grew up with Carson and Kaylan in our house daily - and love them to pieces!

It is hard to imagine that Carson is now ready to graduate high school and move on to his next phase in life.

To commemorate and to just have fun, I played with my camera when the kids came to stay a week with us this summer.  By no means professional, but I had a lot of fun taking them!

First Swimming Lessons

Swimming lessons.... oh where do I begin!

Ivey was so excited about lessons and did a great job - the first day!  However, for several reasons, she became very fearful and it was a struggle every day following for two weeks.  While she did learn good technique, we are now scared to even go under... maybe next year will be better!  At least on our last day she didn't cry and did really well...

VBS - Cross Canyon Trail

Always love VBS up home.  Ivey comes away knowing A LOT about the Bible and always has a blast!  Love seeing my baby grow up in the same place as I did learning about God!

For 22 years I have watched the people of Burns Chapel work their hardest to make this week a memorable one for the kids... each year!  I am so thankful that I have the chance to bring my baby to be a part of it!

TN fun - 2014

After Disney, our summer went into high gear!  I love all the things we get to do, but unfortunately, it makes the summer fly by!  Oh, but the memories!

We always head to Tennessee for the beginning of June to spend time with the Putmans and go to VBS at my home church!

One of our favorite things is fishing... this year, Ivey and KayKay were the only two to catch ANYTHING and theirs was just two little brim!  Needless to say, our supper plans changed!

Got to spend some time with our MawMaw Berry... and what's going to MawMaw's if you can't have ice cream at every meal (then stay up half the night because you are so hyped from having ice cream at 9 pm)!

WDW - Part 8

Many people say that kids this young are horrible on trips like ours and won't even remember it...

Well, we could not have asked for a better child at Disney World.  She received pixie gifts daily because she was definitely above and beyond our expectations.  There was very little complaining and no crying that I can think of.... that is with almost no naps, late nights, early mornings, and go-go-go!

As for the remembering part, time will tell.  However, she has a memory like her Daddy (not me by any means - those who know me will chuckle at that) and she reminds me of things almost daily that we did that I have already totally forgotten!

It was well worth the time and money to have a week with our precious baby girl (and my babies before her - Carson and Kaylan)!

THE END!

WDW - Part 7

A calmer and slower way to end our week - Animal Kingdom!

Love the safari ride!

Ivey (and Momma) were so excited to meet Daisy Duck!  We had never seen her before and caught her just by luck!  We went down a path that looked like a service entry and happened upon her and Donald with almost no line!!!!!

We ended our week with a ride on Kali River Rapids... Kyle, Ivey, and I sat in the wrong spot.  We were absolutely soaked!

The next day we said goodbye to our long awaited vacation to go back to real life in Alabama!  One more installment of pictures of some of the good times we had...

WDW - Part 6

Our second day at Magic Kingdom was one of my favorites - a dream come true for both Momma and daughter (not sure about Daddy) - it was breakfast with the princesses in Cinderella's castle!

Ivey was not a happy camper when it was time to get up - bless her heart - but she quickly got over it once inside the castle.  Best part was since we ate before the park even opened... the streets were clear and pictures at the castle were phenomenal!

Today we took on a few more rides - Ivey loved Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain made a huge splash with her!

More characters - some mixed in from Day 1...

A little siesta in the afternoon while waiting for the parade was well worth it for two reasons...

1.  We had a chance to get a Dole Pineapple Whip - heaven on earth!

and....

2.  Elsa and Anna!  If you don't have kids, you might not understand... but this was pretty big for us!

Loved the parade!  Thanks to Kyle we had the perfect viewing spot right at the edge where the characters came up and interacted with us!

That night ended with the fireworks behind the castle... truly magical!

This was the perfect way to get ready for our last day which ended with the Animal Kingdom!  To be continued...
