Dogded another transfer

Kylie's biggest news this week is that she is now (as she puts it) an Auntie!! Atlee Jean was born to Erik and Teresa Sunday January 25th. She weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce and was 20.5 inches long. We are very happy to have her in our family. Kylie didn't get transferred this week and she is very happy about that. She really loves her area and her companion. She is determined to have another baptism during this transfer. (6 weeks and counting.) Kylie and her companion had another busy week of teaching. Kylie is really enjoying being able to use her sign language to teach. A companionship of Elders in Little Rock found another lady that Kylie can teach using sign language so she has an appointment with her. She is nervouse but very excited.
Before emailing on Monday, Kylie and her companion went to visit the Big Dam Bridge. Below Kylie is walking on said bridge. Here is proof that the bridge is actually called the Big Dam Bridge
No Swimming!! It's a mission rule and it dangerous!
Kylie took this picture because she likes how her name tag looks. My guess is that she'll hang on to this picture for a long time. Good memories.

Another great week!!

Kylie had another great week. The Spanish Elders in her district baptized a family this week and Kylie and her companion got to attend. She said it was cool to hear the baptisms being performed in Spanish. Kylie has been going with the Spanish missionaries to teach a family because the daughter is deaf and Kylie is teaching the mother sign language. Well the daughter has been attending church with her mom and likes how she feels when she goes so Kylie started teaching the daughter in sign language. She is so happy that she is finally getting to use her sign language. Transfers are this week and she is nervous that she will get transferred since she didn't last time. Kylie is the only missionary in the mission that knows sign language so everyone cross your fingers that she doesn't get transferred. Here Kylie and Sister Wall are sharing Kylie's scarf because it was so cold. It wasn't very effective.
Kylie and her companion found this while they were tracting. It's for sale if anyone wants to snatch it up...anyone...no?
Here is Kylie's current district. She will find out about tranfers on Sunday so it might not be her district next week.
Kylie took this picture to show off how pretty Arkansas is.

Baptism #3

Sorry this post should have been done on Monday. I've been slacking.
This week Kylie and her companion had another baptism!! This time is was Sister Loken. Her husband was already a member and she has been going to church for a long time. So this baptism has been a long time coming. Brother Loken performed both the baptism and confirmation. Kylie and her companion both spoke. It was an intimate ceremony. Below is the picture of the happy family. Sister Wall, Kylie's companion, drew this picture of the temple for Sister Loken.
Kylie liked this picture of the landscape. I can't say that I blame her.
Here Kylie is showing us how cold she is.

Singing for success

Recently Kylie and her companion Sister Wall have gotten really sick of tracting. (Anyone who has been on a mission knows the feeling.) They decided to pray for a better way to find people and Sister Wall had the thought about singing on the street. (Kylie wasn't thrilled.) So they did. Below is a picture of them singing. I'm not sure why the photo is so dark...but it's them singing. Kylie said they did make some good contacts and where able to teach a discussion from it. Kylie announced some more exciting news this week. There is a sister in their ward that has been attending church for several years with her member husband. This week Sister Wall asked her if there was something they could do that would get her closer to getting baptized and she responded, "Nope, I'm ready." So they set up the baptism interview and she is scheduled to be baptized this week I think. It is going to be a quiet small ceremony and everyone is excited.
The other pictures that Kylie sent home this week are one of the torando warning intercom. (I'm not sure why, other than I'm sure she has never seen one before and wanted to share the moment with all of us.) The next two pictures are just pictures that Kylie thought was cool and I would have to agree. If you are going to graffiti it might was well be something inspiring.
