Happy 90th Gram!

My awesome Grandma Heugly turned 90 on Friday. She has been such an amazing woman to have in my life. She has always lived really close to us, and (as long as I can remember) we have gotten together every Sunday for dinner. Grandma used to take Jetti and I to her house on Sunday nights if we didn't have school the next morning. We would watch TV, because Grandma had cable and we didn't. Monday morning Grandma made breakfast (ego waffles and orange juice), and we would watch The Price is Right. Grandma set her alarm to make sure she was up in time to watch it every morning. Grandma and I would play cards or Yahtzee. Grandma even taught Jetti and I how to play poker.
I have always felt like I have a special connection with Grandma H. and I'm so thankful for the opportunities I have had in learning who she is. She really is an awesome person. I love getting together with her. It doesn't matter what we are doing, we can be playing cards at my parents house after Sunday dinner or doing her weekly shopping with mom.
I think my favorite thing I have done with Grandma was setting up her Christmas scene. I loved it! We would get together for the entire day (it really takes that long to put up). We would talk and plan how it was going to look, and we would kind of just hang out. It was GREAT!

Anyway, My grandma had a birthday party in our backyard on Saturday. We had a lot of fun and I hope she felt how much she is loved.

Erik and Teresa surprised us all by showing up to the party. It wasn't in the plan until Friday, and it was awesome! I love that little family and I am always so happy to see them. It had been since the first week of August since we had seen them. It was totally time for a baby and Atlee fix. Alee was so excited to see Grandma Linda and Papa. It was great!

Elise and Atlee love each other!! It is so fun to see how well they interact, because they only see each other about once a year. They are really cute!

Baby Logan! She is so CUTE!

We had a great day!

It was so great to have the entire Jensen family together even if it was only for a few hours. Now I might make it until Thanksgiving, and by then we should have a new little one!

And we meet again!

This weekend was GREAT!! There was an ALRM (Arkansas Little Rock Mission) reunion. It was really fun to see everyone. I miss the mission so much, so it is really fun to see some of the missionaries that I served with or around. We also had a great surprise!! Sister Louise West showed up. She was the first person I met on my mission, and her husband was the second person that was baptized while I was out there. It was awesome to see her. The West's moved to Las Vegas while I was still in Arkansas, and I have been so lucky to be this close to them. Anyway I love that Louise came to the reunion. That is awesome!!

Louise and I at the reunion

We had lots of fun, but there were many missionaries that were very missed. Sure wish all the missionaries lived in Utah and that everything would work out perfectly so we could have all gone. Here are a couple pictures of some of the best Sisters ever to serve!!

I remember...

I feel like I should write down what I remember about September 11, 2001. I was in the ninth grade, and I was getting ready for school. Really I was getting out of the tub, when I heard my mom yell to my dad to watch the news. Then she was at the bathroom door telling me to hurry up and get out there. I ran into my Mom's room and she and my dad were glued to the TV. I got there just in time to see the second tower hit. Honestly I was freaking out inside. I didn't know what was going on. I had never heard of the World Trade Center before, and to tell you the truth I still don't really know what went on in those towers. My parents did explain to me what went on, but in my mind it didn't really matter. I was more freaked about the idea of people flying planes into the towers and the people that were in them and around them.
Anyway, I had to go to school, and when I got to school every TV was turned on and we were all pretty silent. Which is saying something for a middle school. I remember watching the TV's and then having a principal come into our classroom and say we needed to have a regular class period. We had to turn off the TV, and have a "regular" day. So we turned off the TV and all of my teachers offered to answer any questions we had. The only class that we were able to watch the news was in history, and I think Geography... I don't really remember why we could watch in there, but we did.
When I got home from school I sat with the rest of my siblings on the couch and watched the news. Honestly I don't think I did anything else all day. I saw the towers fall and the panic that continued through the streets of NYC. I was so anxious to hear what was really happening and what we as a country would do and become because of what had taken place that day.
I don't think I could ever forget what happened that day, and I'm grateful my mind wont let me. I pray that all of us will remember how we felt that day, and what an impact it made on our lives and our country.

I love my family!!

My Sister-in-law organized a family outing. We went up the canyon for a cook out. It was so much fun. My parents, Clayton and Paul, Ryan, Kimi and Elise, Jetti, and I were all able to go. We had hotdogs on a stick, chips and onion dip, and smores. It was so fun. Elise was so cute... as always. I don't really know what to say other than I LOVE MY FAMILY!! This is the most fun that we have all had together in a very long time. I mean we always have fun, but this was different, everyone was able to get along great. It is also something that we don't do very often. We always get together on Sunday, but this was different. It was something extra. Thanks Kimi for the fun idea and fun time.

Big Change

I have had a big change go on in my life over the last couple of months. It has been so GREAT!! I quit Zurchers. It is still weird to not work there and see all of the wonderful people that I worked with, but I have finally grown up. Zurchers was my first job. I started there when I was 17. It has been a good job. The managers that I have had were great. I love Mary Lee and JoAnn. They are great people and they were always willing to work with school schedules. Anyway I have loved and hated working at Zurchers at times, but overall it has been really good and I miss it. When I went on my mission I actually dreamed about Zurchers and balloons, but this time I haven't had dreams about it, but I have been into the store at least once a week since I left. I just can't stay away. I'm so thankful for every thing I have learned by working at Zurchers and I will never forget the WONDERFUL people that I worked with there.

This is my little work area. I loved printing banners and napkins!!

Welcome Home

President and Sister Drewes reported their mission this past weekend, and it was so wonderful to see them. I love the Drewes' they were the best Mission Parents I could have asked for. They helped me through so many different things. I'm really thankful for the love that they showed to me as well as the other missionaries, and the wonderful people in Arkansas, Tennessee, and Mississippi.
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING PRESIDENT AND SISTER DREWES.

Clayton's Birthday

I love birthdays, and I love trying to think of gifts that would really mean something to the person who's birthday it is, and I'll be honest I'm not always that great at thinking of things. However, for Clayton's birthday I was able to come up with a great idea. Clayton's favorite movie is Connie and Carla, so I decided to get him the soundtrack that you can't find in a store. Anyway I was online looking for it, and after I ordered it I started to think it would be fun to find an autographed picture of Nia Vardalos, the star and writer of Connie and Carla. I wasn't able to find a picture online. So I decided to tweet Nia Vardalos, just to see if she would respond or whatever. So I set up a new twiter account, because Clayton follows me. Then I sent a tweet that said something like this, Nia Vardalos my brother's birthday is coming up, and his favorite movie is Connie and Carla. Where can I find an autographed picture of the movie? THEN she said, "Send me the address and give me his name. I'll send it." Holy cow I was so excited!!!! SO I did that it was even better then I thought. I was expecting an 8x10, and this is what I got!!

My mom found this in the mailbox.

Clayton opening it!!

His face was priceless!!

Logan Elizabeth, Welcome to the family

June 4th Logan was born. Erik and Teresa now have two beautiful little girls. I was so blessed to be in Arizona for this baby's birth. My mom and dad and I headed to Arizona on June 2nd. We arrived in AZ in the middle of the night. When we got to the house Dad and Erik gave Teresa a blessing. Then we were off to the hotel. Erik and Teresa headed to the hospital at 5is in the morning. Poor Teresa was in labor for the entire day. Mom, Dad, and I visited Teresa at the hospital a few times, and Atlee and Grandma Rudd came a few times as well. When we weren't at the hospital we were shopping, and to Bahama Bucks. LOVE IT!! Anyway, Logan was born in the EARLY morning on July 4th. July 4th is actually Mom's birthday, so happy birthday to my mom. You have a new beautiful granddaughter. Congratulations Erik and Teresa you have a two beautiful little ones. And i can't wait to see them again.

Good Work Erik!

Erik got his masters!! Congratulations Ricky!! I'm so proud of you! Erik did an accelerated program that allowed him to finish his program in a year. He did a ton of work, and from the sounds of things he did a really good job. I'm sure Teresa and Atlee will be really glad to have him home more often. He got a job that started the Monday after graduation. Thank goodness. I'm so glad I was able to be there for his graduation. It was really fun to see Erik, Teresa, and Atlee again. And I was able to fill Baby Logan moving around in Teresa. That was really cool for me. I had never felt a baby move before. Both of my nieces were born while I was on my mission, so I never felt that. I had a ton of fun seeing them, it had been a while.
Atlee is so CUTE!! I totally love that little girl. She is so much fun, and so smart!! She listens to everything that is said, and I honestly believe she understands all of it. She did such a GREAT job at the graduation. We were all proud of her.

Erik I really am super proud of you!! GOOD WORK!! I love you and your awesome wife and sweetheart little girl!

Erik, Teresa, and Atlee after graduation.

Grandma Heugly told Mom and I that she induced labor by jumping off of her porch a few times, so Teresa thought she would try it...

It didn't work. Sorry Teresa.

Exciting News

This really isn't mine to share, but Jetti already has on her blog, so I'm not too worried about spilling the beans. Jetti and Scott are expecting a baby November 21st!! We are all really excited for them. This little one has been a long time coming. I guess all they needed to do was move back to Utah and put down some roots. They are now the proud owners of a house that is perfect for them. They love it. After they bought the house and were moved in baby decided it was time to come to the family. Honestly I'm so excited. I'm also feeling a little behind... Jetti, my twin sister, has been married almost FIVE years, and now she is having a baby... I'm a little behind. I'm excited to have a little one here in Utah. It will be fun to be able to see Baby anytime I want. I can't wait for the entire family to be back in Utah... But that is wishful thinking.
Jetti told us in a really cute way. Kimi and Elise were here in April during Ryan's busy season, and Jett stayed with us for a weekend while Scott was out of town. While she was here she filled a bunch of Easter Eggs and "hid" them for Elise to find. Elise was 18 months at the time, "hid." Anyway Elise LOVED finding the eggs. That was really fun. After the eggs were found Jetti said it was time for the adults to play. As we opened the eggs there were little pieces of paper with one letter on them. When we got them unscrambled this is what it said.

Mom and I started crying. We were so excited!! Kimi was also excited, but I don't remember any tears.

Jett and Scott I'm so excited for you. Really I can't wait until November!! You are going to be GREAT parents! I love you both and I can't wait to see your baby, boy or girl... even though I'm totally hoping for a little boy.

If you haven't read Jetti's post about Baby you should link to her. Jetti and Scott's blog is on the right side of my blog. It is an AWESOME post that you don't want to miss. Make sure you watch the video.

I'm kinda crazy

Okay, so you all probably know I'm kinda crazy... Well I have been trying to think of things to blog about but I never do because I really like my Reba post. I still can't believe I went and its over. So I haven't posted about any little thing that happens to me, because I LOVE REBA. That is the crazy in me. I haven't blogged because I like having the Reba concert pop up first thing. I know you are probably looking at my blog and seeing the same thing, so I will blog soon. I can't ignore some of the stuff that has been going on in my life and I will update soon. One of the things I have to blog about is keeping me busy so I will try hard to get back on here soon with some pics and updates on my life. Thanks for reading my blog even though it is boring sometimes.

Reba is awesome!

I had such a great time with Clayton on Saturday. I'm so glad that I have such a great brother! I was kind of going crazy on the way to the concert. Clayton might have thought I was loosing my mind, I'm not sure. I didn't really know what to do with myself. Even now I don't really know what I want to write, because all I can think in my mind it "I WENT TO REBA AND IT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" But that doesn't even explain it. It was like the first time I went to Disneyland after coming home from my mission. I had been looking forward to seeing Reba live for such a long time, and it finally happened. Anyway, back to the story. I was crazy on the way there... No surprise. We wanted to get there early, and try and change our tickets to ADA seating. However, all of the ADA tickets were sold out. But we had great seats for Clayton. He didn't have to go up or down any stairs and only had to scoot in nine seats, and we were close to the ADA seating and I was able to put his scooter in the ADA area. That was nice. Oh and the doors didn't open until 6:30. That was crazy because the show started at 7. It did start on time.

Lee Ann Womack was really good. However I was a lot distracted because Reba was coming next! I don't know a lot of Lee Ann's music, but I did know some of her stuff, and I had fun listening to her and trying not to get to crazy. Really Clayton is awesome, because he put up with me all night. When Lee Ann Womack was finished I was so excited!!

REBA WAS COMING!!!

There she is!

They showed a little clip of what Reba has accomplished before she came out. So we got to see a LITTLE clip of Little Rascals, Tremors, and The Reba show. That was fun. Then she came walking on stage. It was so exciting. She was so fun to watch. She really put on a great show. I took a lot of pictures but they are all the same... well kind of the same, because she is singing... But I think I got some good ones. And lets be honest I'm really excited to share them with y'all.

Near the end of her show she started talking about The Reba show and here came Melissa Peterman running down the walkway to the stage. That was awesome!! Melissa played Barbara Jean on the show. She acted a little crazy and it was AWESOME!! She wanted to sing "I'm a Survivor" with Reba. It was fun. I have a video of it I will try and get it on here sometime soon. It is a little long but so worth it!

This was AWESOME!

Reba did come out and sing "Fancy" as an encore. That was fun. She is so fun, and really she sounds so great live. I don't really know why it is so different then on CD but it is. I loved it so much!!

"Fancy"

Then the King of Country came out... George Strait. I have to be honest I was kind of let down. He wasn't very fun to watch. He can't really move around a lot, because he plays the guitar. So he just stood on one corner of the stage and would sing two songs then move to the next corner and do two more. Really not entertaining. The people around us were really entertaining. Clayton was sitting next to one guy that would pump his fist every time a new song started, like he was saying "I love this song." Which is what I said to Clayton at the beginning of most of Reba's songs, but it was really funny. This guy also cried a few times. And the lady in front of us was a little nuts. She was calm most of the night, but a few times when George would start singing she would jump out of her seat and scream!! It was awesome. There were a few older couples there too and they were really fun to watch. They sang along to all of the songs and would sway. They were cute. We had fun people watching! Oh and George Strait had a crazy light show. Clayton said it was from the 80s. I loved it!! So funny!

The King of country!

It was raining after the show. So as we went to the car my hair got wet, but only on the left side... I guess, because when we got in the car I felt my hair and it was starting to curl, but only on the left side. It was scary!! Really glad it didn't do that on the way in. I would have scared everyone! Clayton and I were starving by the time the concert was over so we topped at Wendy's on the way home. I think the guy there thought we were nuts!! The radio was kinda loud because we couldn't really hear... And I forgot to turn it down at the drive threw... And I started to get the tired giggles... Every thing was really funny, but not really. I don't know we had a lot of fun on the ride home. I love Clayton. Thanks for going with me Brother!

My crazy hair after the show.

Thanks for coming Clayt!
