So I finished a project... yes it's true... no dying of shock out there! A project is done. This doesn't happen often people, so let's enjoy reading those words on this blog right now, you may not see them again for a long time. A project is finished!
I was so excited I had to take and upload a pic immediately (even though it was taken at night so it isn't great). And, if you notice that the photo is of just the project and nothing else, understand that the rest of my house is cropped out for a reason. :)
Well too fun! Had to share (even though it isn't technically a blog about me....). G'nite!

Happy Birthday!
Kyra just turned 4 years old! Where did the time go?!?!
Well our little Kyra is 4, and she's a princess to the very center. What kind of decoration did she want? Princess. What kind of presents did she want? Princess. We don't play house, we play 'castle'. She wants a 'pretty dress' every day, and then dress-up clothes on top of that. Jon must have been the princess as a child because she didn't get it from me! :)
The day of her birthday we spent decorating the house (yes, Kyra, cleaning up is part of decorating...) and she was wired the whole time. We did a small family birthday party (she hasn't yet asked for a 'friends' birthday party yet, and so I didn't mention it) and she loved it. A princess cake, princess puzzles, princess dress-ups and accessories and slippers ....it was ... um... princess-y... and just the way she wanted it.
Happy Birthday Kyra!!!
Grandparents!
So much fun to have grandparents visit!
The girls had so much fun with grandma and grandpa. They don't get to see them much so it was a whole weekend filled with nothing but going, going, going (and also trying, trying, trying to get out of the house to go, go, go). Library, mall, popcorn shop, park, movie night (oh wait... that was me b/c I had babysitters!) shopping, carousel, eating out, a birthday celebration.... We didn't take many pics but we love the ones we have.

Kyra's Room
So, here are the pics of Kyra's finished room. (Finally). Zoe's room is next.... ha! just kidding....
Photography
Kyra has figured out how easy it is to take pictures with my phone.
Her new favorite thing is to walk around the house and snap 20-30 pics of whatever she sees. When she's done she browses through, and makes comments about what she's seen.Sister Pics!
We wanted to take some pictures of the girls.
We hadn't really taken many pics (that weren't on a cell phone) of Zoe since she was born, so we tried it.

Kyra loved the idea of taking pictures (we just told her it was a princess dress, with a princess clip for her princess pictures.... don't know where the princess thing came from... I certainly didn't encourage it!
)
Zoe did a great job too! She's such a good baby... hardly fusses at all.
Ok... so this was reality. Zoe cried, Kyra really did NOT want to hold her sister or be in a picture with her (mostly because of the crying), and the pics she took on her own she "cheesed" so big that her eyes are squinted shut. Not to mention the man who was supposed to be holding up the background :) .... ah the joy of family pictures.

Snow Day!
We had an unexpected (-and huge-) snow day!
Kyra had so much fun last year in the snow in Utah, and she missed it. She couldn't have been happier when it snowed in her very own backyard.
My friend in CA knitted these matching hats for the girls... too cute!

Eating the snow (of course)

Snowball fights with Daddy (all day.. I might add)

Kyra's new friend, Frosty...

"Give frosty a kiss" we told her (or a lick I guess)
