Hello Music Makers Families!
I wanted to let everyone know that I have had to make a difficult decision this month. I am having to quit teaching Music Makers :( I can't express how sad this is for me to say, but that time has come.
I will be teaching 2 FINAL CLASSES:
Tomorrow, Monday October 19 & NEXT Monday, October 26
10:30-11:30am
@ the Mormon Church on Antonio & Oso (same place as always)
With this happening, I will no longer have use for ALL the supplies I have!
I will be selling individual sets of "music makers toys" for $10 each. You will get 1 set of rhythm sticks, 1 wrist ribbon, 1 shaker, & 1 bean bag.
No music will be provided (due to copyright laws, etc). BUT---WalMart has a terrific selection of CHEAP children's song CD's (it's where I originally bought MOST of the CD's that I made my master mix from). I use 6-ish songs from the Primary Children's Songbook CD (this is an LDS compilation of songs). The great "activity" songs (ie--parachute songs, shaker songs, stick songs, etc) came from Lakeshore Learning (just off El Toro on Avenida de la Carlotta in furniture row). All of the instruments & supplies came from there as well if you are interested in purchasing more things on your own (6' parachutes are $20...the big 20' chute we use in class is $100...the 6' is perfect for a family!)
Please forgive me for having to cut our semester short. I feel absolutely terrible about this and wish I could find a way to make it work. Maybe some time next year I'll be able to start up again! In the meantime, Music Makers Toy sets will be available on a first come, first serve, cash only basis. I will have them at the last 2 classes. If you are planning to purchase a set (or more) you may get it before or after class.
I look forward to seeing many of you tomorrow!

Music Makers Families!
I am so sorry to have to cancel class today. My husband (who has to be in the building with me when I run class) isn't back from Utah yet, he was delayed in leaving yesterday. He also has our computer where all my music is!
I'll make it up to everyone. We will have a make-up class in a few weeks, stay tuned....I'll post it on the Blog!

It's that time again...
The one your CHILD has been WAITING for...
MUSIC MAKERS
officially begins
SEPTEMBER 21st!
First & Third Mondays ONLY
10:30am
(take note *when there is a 5th monday in a month, there is NO CLASS)
While this IS a F-R-E-E class, a $20 donation would be MUCH appreciated to help replace broken/accidentally-stuck-in-the-pocket supplies (you know...those shakers that mysteriously ended up in your toy bins at home...those probably came from music makers class... OOPS!)
A couple of things to remember...because this is a free class we get A LOT of excited moms & dads (& nannies & grandparents) who want to come, so it may be a tight squeeze. I can accommodate up to 72 children (ie-supply them with shakers, rhythm sticks, etc). Beyond that 75 I will have to ask those of you with infants to please be considerate of older children who can actually use the instrument. My goal, however, is to make sure EVERY infant/child is able to participate fully. My wish is that no one gets left out EVER!
But it happens due to the ever-increasing size of the class!
See you on the 21st!
-Miss Christina
(PS---I will MISS the newest monday pre-schoolers & kindergarteners! SO SAD you won't be here this year!
Miss Sydney (& cole too)...you are welcome ANYTIME! Tell your mom to take a day off...teachers don't REALLY have to be in the classroom the WHOLE day do they?!)
