warning- sooooooooooo many pictures :)
i have wanted to do a carnival birthday party for EVER. so this year. i made it work! i joined jaylene and skylee's cause they are 2 weeks a part and it's a big party. i found the cutest booths on pinterest and i knew karim could whip them up so i saved the picture and kept it in the back of my head. then in may a lady posted on swap and buy all of her fence posts for $100 OBO. perfect!! we offered her $80 and got them. we painted and built 2 big booths, 2 smaller booths, the dart balloon board, and still have a whole pile that karim is excited to use! he said it was his best purchase this summer! yaay me!!
(it rained that day so we had to move painting inside)
next were the invitations. i ordered little canvas bags off of ebay and ironed on the invite. then i put in carnival tickets and a little carnival prize.
we were going to rent a sno cone and cotton candy machine from a party store in lethbridge. both for the day was $150. well while karim and i were in calgary on our little anniversary get away bed bath and beyond had cute little machines for $30 and $40! perfect!! so we bought them and plan to use them all the time!
most of the carnival games we either made or ordered off of amazon (love that site.) there was lot's more that i would have loved to do, like a clown, or balloon animal person, or a magician… but i have already spent my budget haha. oh well, it was fun :)
the night before karim and i popped sooo much popcorn and pre filled like 60 bags. we blew up 100 little balloons for the dart board, got all the prize baskets ready and everything else brought to the kitchen. (it's been sitting in my room for a few months)
i had my friend dana come and take pictures so that i could focus more on the party and helping with the booths and supper. she rocks my world!
the party set up….
penny toss
dart balloons
disc drop
pin the nose on the clown
bowling
tattoo booth
bean bag toss
the favourite booth- treats booth
duck pond
photo booth
the 2nd favourite booth- prizes
also
-potato sack race
-bouncy house
we had all the kids play and have fun for a few hours then we had supper. hot dogs & chips. then we had the treats booth, cotton candy, popcorn, & sno cones
more and more playing
then singing, cupcakes, and presents.
we gave her the best present
jaylene and her friends migrated to her bedroom after that and the rest of us just hung out and continued to have fun.
we had rented an outdoor movie thing so when it got dark we watched a kids show.
it was so fun and an awesome day! thanks to our wonderful friends and family that came and supported us :)
FUNNEST PARTY EVER!!!!
