A couple of friends stopped by to meet our little princess! So nice to see everyone.

We went to Dallas and spent some time with the family. Ben, LeAnne, and Isaac came too. It was the first time for the cousins to meet. Isaac is almost 2 and Brynn is only a month so they didn't have much to talk about. They were both entertaining in their own way. Isaac's face when he took that last step in the pool and starting "swimming" was hilarious. He was so happy. We cooked out and watched the fireworks from DC and NY on the TV.

Sondra sends me these great iphone pics daily and I have to share them because they're precious.

This was such a special day for me. I am so proud to be a father and I love my little girl with my whole heart. She got daddy a special gift - a Jason Witten Cowboy jersey which will be worn with pride this year. Sondra cooked us my favorite dinner, chicken enchiladas. After dinner Grammy took a walk around the pond with us. What a wonderful life...

Sondra had very minor contractions starting late Thursday night and they gradually intensified through the day Friday. By Friday night, in the middle of the Stanley Cup Finals Hockey Game, they were strong enough that we thought it was time to go in. She was 2cm dilated and we were admitted to the hospital for labor and delivery. Sondra requested the epidural when she was 3cm but after an hour of trying the anesthesiologist was not able to find the right place for the injection. No epidural! Sondra powered through the painful contractions all night and at 8:15am lil Brynn took her first breathe. It was surreal and I was speechless holding her for the first time. The experience was the pinnacle of our relationship and has brought us even closer together. Brynn slept most of the time we were with her in the hospital and her "puppy dreams" kept us entertained when she wasn't awake. Sondra is doing great and hasn't skipped a beat. She never ceases to amaze me with her spirit. Brynn is getting better at feeding and we're getting better at reading her cues. We are so happy and blessed to receive this gift and we will love her with everything we have.

Thank you Jamie, Amy, and Jaylynn for hosting my first baby shower! We were so glad that our family and friends could come. Thank you for all the wonder gifts for Brynn. We appreciate everyone's love and support.

We had an exciting show this afternoon and got to see Brynn in 3D. She was awake but she yawned a lot. She had one of her legs stretched up by her face so it was difficult to get the perfect picture. However we did get some precious pictures and seeing her in motion touched our hearts. The technician did say that my fluids looked great thanks to drinking plenty of water. We took a trip to visit Charla and Rickey Lagasse out in Tampa and enjoyed great food, sun on the beach, and plenty of belly laughs. Charla & Sondra went to the spa she had a prenatal massage, facial, mani, and pedi. I had a fun golf day with Rickey while fighting off the gators to get my ball. We tasted authentic Cuban food and ate great dinners one after another. We dined at Armani's, a roof top restaurant in a hotel, while we watched a beautiful sunset. Our surprise trip to Epcot was so exciting. The weather was perfect for our walk around the world. The sun came out to see us leave as we relaxed at Don Cesar's Hotel in St. Pete's Beach where we took pictures before heading to the airport and missing the US beat Canada in Olympic Ice Hockey.

This morning my sweet husband surprised me with breakfast in bed. I knew it was going to be a good day. I went in for my 14 week appointment and once again the doctor said that everything looks perfect. It was amazing to see how big the baby has grown. The cutest part was getting to see its legs crossed as the doctor pushed on my belly. For my birthday my wonderful husband bought me 4 maternity shirts and tickets to the Houston Ballet presents The Nutcracker. I feel so blessed to have Chris and this baby in my life. My next appointment is January 5th but we'll find out if it's a boy or a girl on January 20th. I hope everybody has a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!

We just had our 10 week appointment and we were so excited to see our little baby. The doctor said the baby's development and heartbeat was perfect. She said we have an active baby. It looked like it was dancing around in there! I feel so blessed that I have been healthy so far and have had no morning sickness. We are looking forward to finding out if we are having a girl or boy! We want to say thank you to everyone's sweet congratulatory messages, they meant a lot!

This is going to be our baby blog for the next 9 months. Stay tuned.....

The first time we got to meet with the doctor and we were able to hear the heartbeat. It was such an amazing feeling to know it's real. The baby is between the two markers, approximately 7mm long. The due date is June 9th, mark your calendars. The baby will be a month short of it's cousin Isaac's birthday.
