23 Weeks, 4 Days

I am 23 weeks, 4 days - Almost 24 weeks and starting my 6th month! This kid has had a serious growth spurt lately! He is also active ALL the time! I was joking with my mom the other day about the possibility of a fetus having ADHD :) am grateful to feel him move all the time. I really had to concentrate on Gavin's movements - not this time around.
I am feeling great - just tired! The waddling is a little more strenuous this time around but I cannot complain. I have a great appetite and feel as though Walker is growing and thriving. We are very blessed and I am very thankful for this pregnancy and my new sweet little boy as we enter the holiday season :)

High School Musical 3 - Senior Year

Gavin and Hendrix's dad- they enjoyed it! They sat 2 rows in front of us due to limited seating!

Virginia, Gavin, Hendrix, and Grayson
(Just an FYI - for Halloween, Gavin is Troy from High School Musical and Virginia is going to be Gabriella - they are the two leads).

The kids!

Gavin and Grayson

Gavin loves the Marley books and was so excited to see that this movie is coming out!

About 2 weeks ago, I organized this trip to the movies today. Everyone bought advanced tickets to High School Musical 3: Senior Year and today was the big day. This was opening weekend so there was actually a line to stand in an hour before the movie to make sure that you had a seat with whoever you went with!

So, Gavin was able to see the movie with some other kids from his class. They were SO funny. At the end of the movie, they were standing up dancing like crazy to the last song. So cute!
The movie was cute - I thought it was better than the first two. It's worth going to see- with a kid who likes HSM, of course!

Soccer Game, Craft Fair, and a Pumpkin Patch :)

We went to Gavin's soccer game this morning. Nana came with us and Gavin II was so excited to have her come and see him play. They lost again but he has so much fun! Thanks for coming, Nana!

After the soccer game, we went to our usual lunch at Corky's and then went to a craft fair at one of the schools. It was such a gorgeous day! In the last picture, Gavin is holding up his wooden toys that he bought with Juju's $5 that she snuck him at lunch :)
After the craft fair, we met Juju and Pappy at our traditional spot - the pumkin patch. We go to this same patch every year and pick out our pumpkins. We have been going there since me and my brothers were kids. Always fun!

Party 4 Peds 2008

Dunk-A-Doctor Booth

Gumbo, the Saints dog

Last saturday I volunteered to work Ochsner's Party 4 Peds. It's a yearly fundrasider for Ochsner for Children. It's games, music, and food and It's a lot of fun. After my shift, Gavin and Gavin II met me there and we had a great time. Not surprisingly, the Dunk-A-Doctor booth raised around $7000 and was the most successful booth :)

Mommy and Gavin II's Day Together

Anxiously awaiting his turn to ride the train

**I had to laugh at this picture- they have a pumpkin man that takes pictures with the kids. Must've been a slow day because he was sitting there reading the paper and occasionally waving at some of the kids. Too funny! **

Gavin II had thursday and friday off due to conferences. I was also off on friday so we spent the day together.
We started our day at the OB-GYN for my check-up (fun for Gavin II). Everything was great. I gained 4 pounds in 4 weeks and my blood pressure is holding steady at 100/60. The baby's heart beat was great and my belly is measuring 21 weeks (I am 22 today). He is moving around everyday and I love it!

After the doctor, we ran a few errands and then went to Lakeside and rode the Halloween Spooky Express. After, we met daddy for lunch at Corky's.

Then, after lunch, we went to this goofy golf place that is glow in the dark and played 18 holes of putt putt.

Lastly, we went home and took a nap! Good day!!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Jack!!

My ADORABLE nephew turns 3 years old today. I truly cannot believe that he is 3!! He is possibly the funniest child that we have ever met. We look forward to watching him get older and funnier!
Happy Birthday, Jack! (Happy....birthday....to YOU!)

Not Cool

I worked an 8-hour shift on Saturday and, towards the end of the shift, I was very crampy and my back hurt. I had a lot of pressure in my abdomen. I was very uncomfortable and came home, drank a ton of water, and got in bed. I was close to going to triage saturday night but Gavin was in Hattiesburg, I figured that I had pushed myself too much at work and did not drink enough water. It got better but I had to call in sick to work today so I could rest. I was in bed all day today again drinking water. I am better tonight but I plan to go to the doctor tomorrow if I am still not "right". When we work the floor, we walk ALL shift and push those really heavy (over 100 pound) bassinets back and forth. I think I just did too much. Anyway, Walker was active the whole time that this was occurring so it made me feel better.

Gavin and Daddy Go To USM

Gavin and Lexi (Brett Ladner's little girl - Gavin loves her!) He had one on the other cheek, too!
How cute! Gavin was on the jumbo screen during the game TWICE. I told him it was because he is so darn CUTE!
Gus and Anne (the newlyweds). Paul (Gus' brother), Reeves, and Jean Anne are in the row behind Gus.
The RockGavin at his future college
Gavin and Collin (Gus' nephew who lives in H'burg)
I had to work on Saturday but after Gavin II's soccer game, him and daddy headed to Southern Miss for the USM / Boise State game. They both had so much fun. A bunch of our college friends were there and he said that it was great to see everyone. Our friend Gus and his new wife, Anne, were there. I have still not gotten to meet Anne! We had to miss their wedding due to hurricane Gustav.
Anyway, I enjoyed seeing the pictures and wish that I could have been there. We are going up for Homecoming, though!

Almost 21 weeks

I thought you all might find it interesting how much Walker Thomas has "popped" in the last few days. I think I was this big at 7 months with Gavin. People are all starting to rub my belly :) I think that Walker is going to surpass 6 pounds, 14 ounces! He is doing very well and I am feeling pretty good - just tired!

Chihuahua!

Me and Gavin had a mommy-son date on Friday night - the opening night of "Beverly Hills Chihuahua". He was just coming out of his skin he was so anxious to see it! It was pretty cute - I think he probably enjoyed it more than me but I really liked it, too. It was a bit slow-moving but worth seeing :) Gavin II loves George Lopez so it helped that he was the voice of Papi, the main chihuahua.
Next movie - High School Musical 3: Senior Year

Bailee Turns 1!

Bailee and her mommy!
We are not sure what the bow was clinging to!

I look like I am about to fall asleep! Mom looks good, though!
Feeding her daddy her smash cake (everyone took a picture of this - Mike was pretty tired of eating cake by the end).
Such a big boy! (he is bearing his bo bo on his chest- he fell off his bike and his handle bars went into his chest - ouch!)
Look at that sweet birthday girl! :)
The party crew

I cannot believe that my sweet little goddaughter is already a year old! She is so stinkin' cute I could eat her up! She is such a sweet, happy baby. She surprisingly stayed very clean while eating her smash cake- she was so dainty. Everyone melted when she started feeding her daddy (Mike) her cake. She is no doubt a daddy's girl! A lot f the family made it and Gavin II had a great time playing with a few of his cousins and, of course, Peanut the Chihuahua!

Happy Birthday, Bailee!

Walker Thomas at 20 weeks!

Is that a cute profile or what?!
This is a pic of his face looking at you and his left arm up by the side of his head
They confirmed that it is indeed a boy!

I had my 20 week ultrasound on thursday - this was the "big" one where the doctor checks all of the organs, bones, etc. It took about and hour and these were not all the pics that we got but these were the best. The doctor said that he is "beautiful head to toe"! Such a reflief :) He looks great. He actually weighs in at 12 ounces - at 20 weeks, the average is 10 1/2 ounces. Yay! I am steadily gaining good weight and things are progressing just beautifully. Gavin and I feel so very blessed to have another healthy child. We cannot wait to met him in a short 20 weeks. Due to my asthma (even though it is mild, I have no symptoms, and have not used my inhaler in several years) and my throid crashing again due to the pregnancy, I have to another "big" ultrasound at 30-32 weeks to make sure that all is still well with his growth - the doctor does not anticipate there will be any issues but they just want to be sure.

Bridal Show

English Turn Country Club left two trays of these things at the end of the night
He was so tired, he was delirious
The working fam

Me and Juju at the night's end - we were all TIRED

Wednesday 10/1 was my dad's semi-annual bridal show. It was great and he had a fantastic turnout. Gavin II had an absolute blast running around - literally. One of the vendors was giving out the little pink fuzzy things and he started collecting them. At the end of the night, all the vendors started giving them to him and he thought it was hilarious to be wearing them all at the same time. Good times - it was fun!
