Loy Ann and Michael's Wedding - St. Francisville, LA
Saturday, all 4 of us went up to St. Francisville, LA with Gavin's parents for Gavin's cousin, Loy Ann's, wedding. It was at Greenwood Plantation which is absolutely beautiful! Gavin II came home with a bag of moss to bring for how and tell on Monday! The only thing was that it was miserably COLD!!! By the time we left, it was around 55 degrees but the wind made it so much colder! We had Walker bundled up so tight! Loy Ann was beautiful and everything was perfect...congratulations!

We usually go because Gavin is a car fantaic but this year my brother Shaun was car shopping so we thought it might be fun! The boys had SO mch fun. Gavin (daddy) took lots of pics of the cars that he loves, Shaun sat in a few and Gavin II ran around for 2 hours and sat in every car possible!

St. Patrick's Parade on Metairie Road
Sunday, we went to Kirk's place of business on Metairie Road for the St. Patrick's Parade. This parade is always packed and it is several hours long but lots o' fun ;) Thanks to Chrishelle and Kirk for hosting. This was Walker's 1st St. Patty's Parade! It's evident from the pictures that he enjoyed it. Gavin II had SO much fun - he was exhausted and drooling in the booster seat on th way home.

One Month Old Already!
We took Walker for his 1 month check-up today. He is doing fantastic and growing "rapidly" according to Dr. Bronfin. He was 6 pounds, 15 ounces 3 weeks ago and today he weighed in at 9 pounds, 12 ounces. He also grew 1 3/4 inches! We cannot believe that he is a month old already but I cannot remember what it was like to not have him around. He is such a sweet baby!

Remembering Beth

This morning around 2 am, my cousin, Beth, was killed by a drunk driver while she was walking home from a bar around Southeastern. She was one of 3 killed. She was a mere 19 years old and was a beautiful, sweet, smart girl. She was a psychology major at SLU. This is the first tragedy in our family and everyone is taking it very hard and grieving her loss. My other cousin, Lindsey, was her best friend and cousin an witnessed the whole accident. They used to call them "salt nd Pepper" b/c Lindsey had dark hair and Beth was fair with blonde hair. It truly goes to show that we do not know how much time we have on this earth. Her life was taken away in an instant as she was killed as soon as she was hit by the car. Life is so fragile and this is a reminder to me that we should live every day to the fullest and thank God for our health and well-being. Give your kids and family extra hugs and "I love you"s tonight - I know I will!
God Bless You, Beth. We love you.
