Mystery Solved

We were trying to figure out who Walker looked like and then we saw Gavin's baby pics. These are not the best for comparion purposes but, trust me, he looks exactly like his daddy's baby pictures!

Loy Ann and Michael's Wedding - St. Francisville, LA

My handsome little man
Loy Ann and Michael

Greenwood Plantation

Me and Walker
The Langston Fam

Saturday, all 4 of us went up to St. Francisville, LA with Gavin's parents for Gavin's cousin, Loy Ann's, wedding. It was at Greenwood Plantation which is absolutely beautiful! Gavin II came home with a bag of moss to bring for how and tell on Monday! The only thing was that it was miserably COLD!!! By the time we left, it was around 55 degrees but the wind made it so much colder! We had Walker bundled up so tight! Loy Ann was beautiful and everything was perfect...congratulations!

The Last Game

Gavin was so excited to get a trophy at the last game on Saturday. Next sport...baseball!

6 Weeks

Here are some shots of Walker at 6 weeks old. He is doing great! He has started smiling :) He is up to almost 6 ounces of formula at a feeding and is working on 12 pounds. He is such a joy and blessing to watch grow every day. Gavin II just loves his little brother, too!

Congrats Nana and PaPa!

Gavin's parents found this house for sale in Metairie and the owner was putting it up for auction. They went to the auction on Thursday and GOT the house! It is beautiful and has a really nice salt water pool in the back yard! We can't wait to have a pool party in the yard! Congrats!!

Irish-Italian Parade2009

Here are a few shots from the parade today in Metairie...the weather was unbelievably beautiful :) The parade was so much fun! Plus, we got to share the fun with Nana, PaPa, Juju, and Uncle Shaun!

5 Weeks

Walker is almost 6 weeks - here are a couple of pics from Saturday. He is doing great. He takes 4 ounces of formula (we think he's close to moving up to 5 or 6 soon) every 3 hours. He is growing SO much and has started to give us a few smiles and coos - my favorite milestones!!

Walker was having a blast!
Gavin and Shaun in Gavin's choice of cars

My future car - Jaguar!
What he came home with! I'm a sucker for that boy!

Gavin approves of Uncle Shaun's choice of cars!

This is the car that Shaun wants - Mazda RX-8. He looks good in it!

Danielle is in there!

My friend, Danielle, was Scooby Doo at th N.O. Auto Show this weekend so she was nice enough to get us free tickets. We usually go because Gavin is a car fantaic but this year my brother Shaun was car shopping so we thought it might be fun! The boys had SO mch fun. Gavin (daddy) took lots of pics of the cars that he loves, Shaun sat in a few and Gavin II ran around for 2 hours and sat in every car possible!

St. Patrick's Parade on Metairie Road

Mrs. Judy had lots of fun!
Walkie ready for a nap

My beautiful 1st born

Me and a strange girl

Eric
Me and 2/3 of the Langston boys

She looks great holding a baby but dont ask her if she's having any more kids - she got enough of that question at the parade :)

Sunday, we went to Kirk's place of business on Metairie Road for the St. Patrick's Parade. This parade is always packed and it is several hours long but lots o' fun ;) Thanks to Chrishelle and Kirk for hosting. This was Walker's 1st St. Patty's Parade! It's evident from the pictures that he enjoyed it. Gavin II had SO much fun - he was exhausted and drooling in the booster seat on th way home.

Now It's "Officially Official"

I received my certificate and license today from the LA State Board of Nursing! Now, I am truly official :) I love how it looks in print!

One Month Old Already!

Big Boy!

Tired out from his weight check!

We took Walker for his 1 month check-up today. He is doing fantastic and growing "rapidly" according to Dr. Bronfin. He was 6 pounds, 15 ounces 3 weeks ago and today he weighed in at 9 pounds, 12 ounces. He also grew 1 3/4 inches! We cannot believe that he is a month old already but I cannot remember what it was like to not have him around. He is such a sweet baby!

Remembering Beth

This morning around 2 am, my cousin, Beth, was killed by a drunk driver while she was walking home from a bar around Southeastern. She was one of 3 killed. She was a mere 19 years old and was a beautiful, sweet, smart girl. She was a psychology major at SLU. This is the first tragedy in our family and everyone is taking it very hard and grieving her loss. My other cousin, Lindsey, was her best friend and cousin an witnessed the whole accident. They used to call them "salt nd Pepper" b/c Lindsey had dark hair and Beth was fair with blonde hair. It truly goes to show that we do not know how much time we have on this earth. Her life was taken away in an instant as she was killed as soon as she was hit by the car. Life is so fragile and this is a reminder to me that we should live every day to the fullest and thank God for our health and well-being. Give your kids and family extra hugs and "I love you"s tonight - I know I will!
God Bless You, Beth. We love you.
