Fruit Gobbler

At the beginning of the school year I signed up to be part of the party committee for Jaxon's school class. I thought it would be an easy way to get some of my service hours for the school (every couple has to give 20 hours of service per year to the school). Anyhow, I got my first assignment for his harvest party at his school on Thursday. It is called a Fruit Gobbler, I told the lady in charge that I will try but cannot guarantee that it will resemble a turkey.

Kind of cute don't you think. There are tons of cute ideas like this on the Family Fun website. There are really cute turkeys made out of Oreos, that is more up my alley. I'm going to give it a shot I will post a picture when my turkey is done.

I have had a couple inquires on how my little kitties are. They are getting so big and will be ready to find homes in about two weeks. Two of them are six toed cats, I hear they are very lucky. Taylin is going to be heartbroken when they leave. Every time she goes missing I find her down stairs with a kitten stuck to her shirt. She tried sneak one to her bed the other night

Animal Lover???

I have always been a person that likes animals, but since I have been married I have had no desire to have my own. Especially with three children, I don't feel like I have any time or love to give not to mention cleaning up poo after anyone but my children. But for not owning any pets animals have been consuming a lot of my time lately. While my sister was in transition I reluctantly took care of her two dogs for a little over a month. These are not just any dogs, they are dogs that actually think they are people. They have to be wherever people are and the center of attention. Anyhow, I didn't think that I would ever get rid of them but Sara finally came and picked them up. To be fair they are very cute dogs and it was fun for the kids. Good luck Dustin:)Shee-ra and Scratch
Having the dogs reassured me that I did not want any pets. On Sunday I was at my moms and we were headed out for a walk with the kids. I sent Jaxon to get his Red Maxx (bike) when he didn't return shortly I went to look for him. He had found what he thought was a dead rat. Upon closer examination I found that it was a baby kitten. A pregnant cat had decided to take up shelter in my parents shed, and there the kittens were born. I began to check the kittens out and found that two of four of them were almost dead. They were cold and not really moving. I think they were three or four days old. For some unknown reason I felt the need to save one of these helpless kitty's. I carried the kitty around for a while trying to warm it up, it hadn't been eating and was much smaller then the rest. My mom and I decided to go get some cat supplies. We got in the car and drove around looking for somewhere to buy cat supplies, granted it was 6:30 pm on a Sunday (it's okay Jesus would have done the same thing). We ended up at Walgreen's and got some eye droppers and Pedialite. The kitty seemed to be doing better so I went out and got the other one and thought maybe I could save that one also but it died just a short while later. I took the little one home thinking I had done a good job thus far and would just continue to be its mother. To make a long story short I couldn't get it to eat out of the bottle I bought or the dropper but I stayed up all night trying. I did keep it on a heating pad through the night and kept giving it pedialite (I read it on the Internet). Anyhow I called my mom first thing in the morning exhausted and worried sick about it starving to death, she came and got it and brought it back to its mother. It was a lot healthier looking then before I had brought it to my house. I then decided I had to let nature take its course and I couldn't let these cats consume my entire life. It has now been three days and the kittens are doing really well, safe and sound in my garage with their mother. You know it is suppose to freeze this weekend and I couldn't leave them outside. The first pictures are of my little Moxy, yes I named it when I took it home.

This is them today in the garage, they sure like to eat alot. The mom is also very sweet.

This is my little Moxy eating isn't he/she cute. I am however hoping to give all of them away (except maybe Moxy if he/she survives) so if you know anyone is looking for a fluffy, snugly and free Christmas present for their kids I know where you can get one.

All married off

Two of my siblings got married in the last two months, it has been very exciting. Jim got married last month in Hawaii to girl named Cyndi. I now have a new sister in-law that I am excited to meet. Sara got married a couple weeks before that to Dustin Miller. I had met him before but look forward to getting to know him better. Dustin and Sara had a beautiful marriage celebration in my parents back yard on Saturday, it turned out reallly nice. As soon as we get the pictures back I will post them.
