Steve & Tracey

My step-sister and her husband came for a short visit to cheer me up. We had so much fun! They spoiled us. Tracey took me out for a manicure and pedicure. Steve took Damie to the guitar store and set Damie up to start playing the guitar. They took us out for a fabulous dinner - Thai food, my favorite! And most importantly, they made us laugh until tears were running down our cheeks. The kids adore them! It was a wonderful weekend and much needed. We were so encouraged by their visit - and so sad to see them leave.

About Eva: 6 months

Eva has changed so much in the last month. It seems like overnight she went from barely being able to roll over to moving all over the living room. She can sit up, roll over, army crawl and rock back and forth on her hands and knees. She talks and laughs and is happy pretty much all of the time. She sleeps in her own room now, at least most of the night. She wakes up very early to eat, but generally goes right back to sleep. I started her on rice cereal and am slowly introducing fruits and veggies.

Stats:
Weight: 16 pounds, 7 oz (65th percentile)
Height: 25.5 inches (45th percentile)
Head Circumference: 42 cm (35th percentile)

Weaning

I had to wean Eva this weekend. It was so sad. At first all she would eat is rice cereal, or drink out of a cup. She didn't smile or laugh for four days. It broke my heart! But last night she finally did it! She took a bottle! Praise the Lord! After a large meal, she was back to her normal, playful self. Today has been a joyous day filled with baby laughs, smiles and tickles.

Writing

Kedrick started writing his name today. I've given him many opportunities to practice writing letters with workbooks and tracing sheets. He would work on them a bit, but they never held his interest. Today he snuck off with one of daddy's pads of paper and fancy pens and wrote "Kedrick" and "Victor."
When Kedrick decides he wants to do something, he just does it.
