Just giving another friendly, neighborhood tornado report. We’re fine, despite last evening’s tornado warning, all the sirens and then a tornado watch late into the night.
We had crazy weather, but it was so cool to watch the radar. I put energetic protection on us and the surrounding area. David had out his phone in the basement. Everything was roiling red, orange, and yellow, heading our way, but the moment it got near Kalamazoo, it would kind of bounce back, turn green, then pass over us all green. It’s like Kalamazoo was neutralizing the storm.
I knew what I’d set up, but it was validating to see it play out onscreen! From what I can tell, things went alright for Southwest Michigan. I’m not claiming full credit for that, but it was cool to see the energetic protection in play.
These have been popular, so I’m extending them for another month.

This Dream Guy maxim–Delay leads to delight--is sooooo up right now! This morning, I was just pondering exactly how this appears to be playing out in my own life when I got an email from my friend who comments on here as Kieron. It had a subject line “Delay brings delight,” and it included a link to a video that reminded him of my Dream Guy maxim. As I sat down to write this post, another message came in from him, saying, “What’s also funny is I tried to send this to you yesterday and no matter what I did, it wouldn’t send. I gave up and assumed it was part of the delay. Lol 🙂 ”
This was doubly synchronous in that I had just opened a post from my friend Pamela Hipp, titled, “Favorable Delays.” She shares how her frustrating morning of obstacles and delays led to an amazing encounter. Here’s the link to her post, and here’s the video Kieron sent:

Happy April Fool’s Day! I am personally celebrating all the ways I’ve been foolish, and how those “mistakes” have often led to even more wonderful discoveries. With all the energies building in Aries, we’re all in brand new territory. Just wait until April 17’s New Moon, which realllllllly kicks things off. For now, get those proverbial rubber duckies in a row while you can.
April begins with strong emphasis on relationships, partnerships, legal issues, karmic balance, beauty, and the arts. The Libra Full Moon happens at 10:12 p.m. Eastern U.S. time on April 1, which means for much of the world, this is an April 2 Full Moon. Either way, it brings a much needed reset from the runaway train in Aries. There’s a time for rushing ahead, but also a time for having fun with those we love, and life’s much sweeter when we remember that.
The Sabian Symbol for this Full Moon is “(LIBRA 13°): CHILDREN BLOWING SOAP BUBBLES.” Dane Rudhyar adds, “It is a symbol of IMAGINATIVE PLAY, which foreshadows the idea of ‘global man,’ the man of plenitude.”
The Full Moon axis creates a T-square with Jupiter in Cancer, but even squares can bring blessings. We might need to work hard, but rewards will come. Jupiter is the planet of plenitude, further amplifying these energies. With Mercury in Pisces trine Jupiter, we could learn the truth (Jupiter) about murky deception and gaslighting (Mercury in Pisces). Some of this will involve family dynamics (Cancer), as well as boundaries or lack thereof (Pisces).
Artists, poets, and other creative types could also experience a huge (Jupiter) inspiration and new spiritual understanding (Mercury in Pisces) that beautifies our world. The Libra energy of this Full Moon also emphasizes beauty and love, so we can choose which station we want to tune into. Venus newly in her other home sign of Taurus adds even more love, grace, and beauty to the mix. With Saturn and Neptune in Aries sextile Pluto in Aquarius, spiritual transformation takes root in tangible reality.
Libra Full Moon, April 1, 2026, 10:12 p.m., Washington, D.C.
This Full Moon is very close to the US natal Saturn, so we could see an end to something major. With Libra, it could mean a peace deal ends a war, or it could mean the end of a peace deal. The North Node remains at that critical 8° Pisces, with the nodal axis exactly square the US natal Uranus. There’s an undeniable push-pull like trying to get a car unstuck from the mud. Pushing on the gas and flooding the engine won’t work. Sometimes, we just need to go back and forth in wishy-washy Pisces before all those Aries energies can move ahead. If it’s on the itinerary, we don’t get to skip steps. The Virgo-Pisces nodal axis functions as gatekeeper.
Questions to ponder at the Libra Full Moon:
Which relationships feel playful and innocent?
How can I make my world more beautiful?
Where do I need to address karmic imbalances?
How am I letting old family drama impact my current relationships?
What truths do I know on an emotional-spiritual level, and how do these insights affect partnerships?
As of 3:33 p.m. Eastern time today, Mercury retrograde is now stationing direct. What a wild ride it’s been for me and for many other people!
David and I got an unexpected spring cleaning, as we replaced our nine-year-old refrigerator after the poor guy started groaning and wheezing. I sent him Reiki last week and thought to ask, “Hey, if you’re not just making noises, but are actually on your way out, please give us a sign ahead of time.” The next morning, the freezer light turned off, and the fridge light dimmed so low, we could barely see. David considered fixing it, but this happened right after I’d asked for a sign. “Having the lights dim” seemed similar to the light going out as a soul exits the body.
Everything went smoothly. The new fridge fits so much better in our kitchen than the old one. The delivery guys noticed one door got damaged in shipping, so we’ll have another door delivered tomorrow. Given all the Mercury Retrograde hiccups we could have had, that was easy. They made all the calls and arranged for the door exchange. Now we just need to reload all our food from coolers once the fridge and freezer reach temps.
Meanwhile, with furniture and other things moved way out of their normal spots, I took the opportunity to vacuum areas I rarely reach. Perfect timing for Spring Equinox! These photos are from two Sundays ago, but they capture the hinge point, liminal energies of today–out with the old (literally), in with the new.
The Lake was especially liminal that day–waves frozen in place, tide pools, sand, and deep cerulean blue further out:
Those are from Sunday, March 8, and I must say, that was a weird day. Perhaps I’ll tell the story sometime, but for now, we’re enjoying our new fridge on a sunny, warm day that actually feels like Spring!
This 2022 post seems worth revisiting since we’re in the phase where Uranus is in Taurus in both the Tropical (Western) zodiac and the Sidereal (Vedic) zodiac. I do Western astrology, which is Earth and seasons-based, whereas the sidereal zodiac matches the apparent sky. It’s complicated, and you don’t need to understand how it all works. Timothy’s point is that for a five-month period starting in November 2025 and running until April 25-26, 2026, we’ve got Uranus in Taurus on steroids.
The post is astro-heavier than usual, but Tim always had a way with words. It seems like a timely reminder as the world seems to spin out of control. Plus, it’s just nice to “hear” Tim chiming in across time and space. Cheers, Bro!
On Saint Patrick’s Day, Mercury Retrograde exactly conjuncts the North Node destiny point at 8° Pisces. Messages come through dreams, synchronicity, imagination, film, songs, and media–the kind of messages (Mercury) we need to receive (North Node). These won’t be new messages, but a repeat of things you’ve sensed before. Pay attention to that quiet inner knowing, even if you’d rather zone out. Something important eases its way from nebulous whispers to conscious thought.
For starters, how have your relationships changed since February 17, when Venus conjuncted the North Node at that same 8° Pisces point? Even more important: how has your understanding of relationships, values, art, and self-esteem shifted during this time period? Mars exactly conjuncted the North Node on March 13–again at 8° Pisces. When Mercury stations direct at the Aries Equinox on March 20, Mercury and the North Node still remain at 8° Pisces! Any arguments, conflicts, friction, or action from February or earlier this month may now be revealed or suddenly make more sense.
Let’s move on to the New Moon in Pisces, which happens on March 18 at 9:24 p.m. Eastern U.S. time. For much of the world, that’s March 19, but the important thing to realize is the potency and magnitude of early 2026 energies. It’s not about one date or even one week: we’re entering a culmination period that brings many things to closure. This New Moon in Pisces occurs in the second last degree of the entire zodiac: the end is near, but so is the beginning.
In fact, most intuitive people have had one foot in each reality for at least a year. This New Moon marks the final stage of late Pisces energies, since both Saturn and Neptune have moved into Aries for the long haul. Saturn won’t return to Pisces until 2052, and Neptune won’t ease his way into Pisces until March 20, 2175. When I say, “End of an era,” I mean it! Have a look at your life, and see what calls for surrender and release. With the Aries Equinox after this Pisces New Moon, we’re talking about a much bigger cosmic reset than usual.
The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon is “PISCES 29°:LIGHT BREAKING INTO MANY COLORS THROUGH A PRISM.” Dane Rudhyar adds a “KEYNOTE:The analytical power of the mind necessary for the formulation of life processes in their many aspects.” For some reason, this reminds me of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. Perhaps that album will add some insights.

Rudhyar further explains: “Cycles of existence begin in unity and end in what I have called ‘multi-unity.’ … What the symbol tells us is that unity will always break again into multiplicity. The “prism” is always there. There is no absolute unity; if anything could be called “absolute” it is the relationship between the One and the Many.”
Given all the recent, exact hits to the US natal chart, I can’t help thinking of the saying “e pluribus unum,” which means the reverse of this–“from many, one” or “out of many, one.” In any case, this New Moon in Pisces encourages us to ponder the continuum between the individual many (Aries) and mystical Oneness (Pisces). It also raises questions about how we relate to each other and to different levels of existence. How does reality flow through us? How do we, as souls, embody the Great Mystery during our short stay on planet Earth?
At the time of the New Moon, Mars in Pisces trines Jupiter in Cancer–two Water signs working together to take action (Mars) based on Truth (Jupiter). Intuition and emotions flow, and this harmonious energy suggests forward momentum. The New Moon also forms a harmonious sextile (60 degrees) with Uranus in Taurus. This bodes well for breaking free of old limitations–especially emotional-spiritual limitations.
Pisces New Moon, March 18, 2026, 9:24 p.m., Washington, D.C.
The New Moon chart for Washington, D.C. puts Chiron in Aries right on the Descendant–the cusp of the house of relationships, allies, and known enemies. Wounds and healing are “up” around these topics, and Uranus the revolutionary sits right on the Vertex demanding liberation. Look at those packed fifth and sixth houses, but the buck stops with Chiron on the Descendant. Moving forward will require deep healing of relationships.
Despite the confusion and chaos of our world, this New Moon offers hope and beauty. It’s a powerful time for meditation, yoga, daydreaming, and creativity. I’ve already included many questions within the text, but here are a few more…
Questions to ponder at the Pisces New Moon:
How can I beautify our world?
Where can I let bygones be bygones and move on?
What used to matter but no longer seems important?
Where can I allow for more compassion, forgiveness, and non-attachment?
Ginormous Jupiter stations direct tonight at 11:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight time. Take a moment to exhale that breath you didn’t even know you were still holding. We live in epoch making times, which means everything can seem crazy intense and unpredictable.
That fact won’t change when Jupiter stations direct, but it will feel easier to keep the faith. Gratitude and generosity will flow more freely, and it might feel like someone shifted from reverse to neutral. The cosmic foot is still on the brake–not the gas pedal–but at least the largest astrological planet will no longer be stuck in reverse.
We’re quite a ways from pedal to the metal, but who can’t use an extra dose of optimism, enthusiasm, and jubilation? Who doesn’t want to feel a bit more buoyant? Jupiter also expands things, so lean into whatever you’d like to increase. This is a big one, pun intended. What Truth with a capital T have you learned since November 11, 2025, when Jupiter stationed retrograde? Jupiter’s the Great Benefic, also known as “the guru.” Pay attention to lessons that presented themselves on or after 11/11.
Thank you to those of you checking in to make sure David and I are okay after last night’s nearby tornadoes. The short answer is, yes, we’re fine. We had some thunderstorms last night, but I didn’t know anything about the tornadoes. It was nowhere near as intense as some other storms like the 2025 worst storm I’ve ever witnessed, or the 2024 tornado we missed by minutes on our way home from David’s 60th birthday festivities.
Apparently, I did feel last night’s tornadoes. I just thought they were astro weather after the most recent eclipse exactly squared my natal Venus and opposed my natal Mars. I wrote this about last night’s energies:
“I suspect some of this is backlash from that eclipse, which was so profoundly rattling, along with Uranus creeping ever closer to an exact conjunction with my Midheaven. On the one hand, I’m excited to break free and have more adventure in my life.
“On the other hand, sometimes I feel this overwhelming force of change that’s so profound it leaves me with nothing familiar at all. It feels like a tornado ripping through my entire life, so fast and so furious that from one moment to the next, nothing looks the same. I suspect that’s the outer planetary stuff I have going on right now, plus the eclipses. I try to lean into change so I’m not resisting, but I must be finding my sweet spot of how much radical change I can tolerate all at once. I awoke feeling much more grounded, which was a relief.”
So, yeah, I felt the tornadoes. I just thought they were astro weather instead of local!
