We're still alive....

Sorry we have been MIA for the last 2 months! Oh my, being a working mom is so much harder than I ever imagined it would be. Especially when you end up having to have surgery on your arm and look like this.....

Then a few weeks later we moved to this.....

I had my first physical therapy appointment yesterday morning and got a third splint/cast which I will be wearing until the beginning of June. It is below the elbow this time, PTL! So thankful for so many that have helped us! Especially my momma that came and took care of us for a week during her spring break! Pretty sure she was ready to head back to school after putting up with us!

Other than that, here is what we've been up to.

Razorback baseball.....

Celebrated our first Easter with Miss Eliza-Grace.....

Isn't her dress adorable? It was hand made and smocked by one of my great aunt's best friends, Ms. Pat. I've known Ms. Pat for as long as I can remember. So sweet of her!

Went on our first trip to Jonesboro! She did amazing in the car on the 6 hour journey!!

Scott and I left Eliza-Grace in Jonesboro with my parents for the weekend and headed to Memphis for our friend Scott's wedding. It was so much FUN! We also got to see our friends Black and Catherine who live in Memphis and are expecting little Caroline in August.

The dental school gang: Scott, me, Ed, Scott and Jana. We missed Ed's wife Kim and the Woolsey's!

We're Rolling Over!

Last night Eliza-Grace spent some time with her Aunt Janet and Nana while Scott and I went out to dinner, to barnes & noble and wal-mart. Real exciting Saturday night, I know. This was right before we left to drop her off. I just pulled out her lovie that Nicole and Ben got her and she in fact loves it. It now needs to be washed because she has had a spitting up problem the last two days. Not sure what's going on with that. Isn't she the sweetest?

This morning Eliza-Grace and I went to the downtown campus to church to see my friend, Whitney's, husband (Casey) and son (Hunter) get baptized. What a sweet day for a very sweet family! Whitney and Casey are expecting their baby girl, Ella, in just a few weeks!

Scott went with some people from the Pontiac campus to work on the house of a grandmother that has taken in her young grand-daughter so it was just the girls most of the day. I put E-G down for a nap while I got ready for church. She naps on her tummy so I was very surprised to find her on her back when I went in to get her dressed for church. Please ignore the sleepy/drunken look on her face, but little girl rolled over for the 1st time!

Observations

1. I think my child might have been a cat in a former life. I promise no less than 5 times in the last 2 weeks I have thought to myself, how did a cat get in our house. Nope, just Eliza-Grace talking away and squealing.

2. She is growing up way too fast! She has now figured out the seat in the "circle of fun" moves around and is now turning circles and discovering all her new toys and why we call it the "circle of fun."

Okay that's it. Happy Friday! It's nap time around here and maybe some Razorback baseball this afternoon.

Fun Give Away

My friend Mary-John post about a give away at "Hang to Dry." They make adorable t-shirts for kiddos especially holiday ones. Hop over to their etsy store and check them out: www.HangtoDry.etsy.com

St.Patty's Day.....

Easter....... I think E-G need this!

Lake Get Away

After E-G's doctor's appointment on Friday, her and I hit the road for my parent's lake house on Greer's Ferry Lake. This was our first Mommy and daughter road trip and her first trip to GF. Scott had a class on Saturday so he stayed home with Stella Doodle. Eliza-Grace did amazing in the car, slept the whole 3 hours! I stopped about half way there to get a coke and peak in the back seat at her. Same story on the way back! We are so blessed to have such a sweet, laid back baby.

We did a lot of eating, some shopping, playing and visiting family. Scott (my brother) and Summer came and spent Friday night and all day Saturday with us! Dad even drove to Searcy and brought Aunt Zola to the lake for the day. Scott and Summer drove her back on their way home Saturday night.

After a huge yummy breakfast on Saturday morning Mom, Summer, Eliza-Grace and I headed out to visit our friend Anne at mine and mom's favorite store, The Vintage Rose, in Quitman. She always has fun stuff. Over the last few years she has had different bottles/candle holders mom has been buying to hang on the back porch. LOVE.THEM.

We came back and snacked, went on a ride in Scott's new Jeep, hung out with Aunt Zola, went on a walk and then had a yummy dinner before Scott, Summer and Aunt Zola went home.

Aunt Summer and Eliza-Grace. I thought this was an awesome picture!

Playing with great, great Aunt Zola.

Working on eating our rice cereal. She's not really a fan!

LOVES sitting up in her stroller like a big girl!

She stayed up as long as she could, but before mom and dad even got back in the house from seeing Scott, Summer and Aunt Zola off she crashed!

Thanks for having us for the weekend, taking us out to eat and for E-G's new swim suite and cover up Mom and Dad! We had a great weekend but sure were excited to see Dad/Scott when we got home Sunday afternoon!

Lately......

Whoops...I kind of forgot about the blog world over the last few weeks. We've had a lot of stuff going on lately. Nothing major just work, a couple of junior league things, Razorback baseball started and just random stuff.

Last weekend I had a baby shower for my friend and co-worker Whitney who is expecting her 2nd baby, Ella, in a few weeks. I work in an office of 2o people of which 15 are women. There is always someone expecting and usually someone out on maternity leave. It was so fun and Whit got great girly clothes, which she needed since her oldest is a boy. Pictures to come when my friend Sarah uploads them.

Thursday Miss Eliza-Grace finally got to meet our friend Thomas and then we headed to a grand opening for our photographer Amber. Her new studio is amazing! We are so excited for her and can't wait for our pictures in April.

T, Scott and Eliza-Grace

Friday we finally had Eliza-Grace's 4 month well visit. Dr. D said she was hitting all her milestones perfectly and growing right on track. We are so thankful for our sweet, healthy little girl. She weighs 14 lbs 11oz (50th percentile), 23.74 in. long (25th percentile) and her head is 15.98 in (50th percentile).

Four Months!

Well little Eliza-Grace's 4 month birthday was a historic one! We knew we were expecting some snow, but thought the worst of it would it further south......wrong, way wrong. We ended up getting hit the worst and had right at 2 feet at our house. Nuts! E-G finally was finally feeling better and Scott insisted we finally take her out in the snow, so bundled up and took a few four month pictures in the snow! We don't go for our four month check up for a few more weeks so I'll post her stats then.

Warm and cozy in her room....

Closing to a smiling picture we can get. She really smiles a lot but just refused to do it for the camera.

Wrapped up in her fuzzy bear....

Stella going crazy in the snow...

By the end of the snow you could barely see the rose bushes in the front yard .
