My Baby Girl is THREE

So Noelle turned THREE this last weekend and I can't believe it. She is such a blessing and a gift from the Lord, and it is amazing to see her transform each year. It is truly a miracle. She is growing and changing all the time, and she needs to slow down! Her birthday started off fun with streamers and balloons. And then mid-morning my sisters Stephanie and Hannah took her to Build a Bear where she picked out a bunny, so really it was Build a Bunny. She loves bunnies. Stephanie said they had a blast, and they had lunch at Chick-fil-A, and then came back for naptime. That night we went over to my parent's house and had a great dinner and some crazy fun at the park behind their house. It was a great evening, and Noelle loved all the attention of course and her CAKE. She loves cake, and anytime we go to a birthday party she immediately gets excited about Birthday Cake. She asked for a strawberry round cake this year. Don't know exactly where that came from, but whatever she likes. Thank you Lord for my sweet Noelle!!

Sweet Reunions

A couple of Sundays ago I had a reunion with some old friends that I grew up with. We had a night of worship, food, and games. It brought back tons of great memories, and it was just really good for my heart to see everyone. Kevin was playing djembe that night during worship and I was singing. While we were doing worship, Noelle came up to the front and danced for awhile and then came up on stage right next to Kevin and started playing a small djembe right beside him. It was a special moment to watch her without shame play and sing with her daddy, and I pray that she fully comes to know and love the Lord and without shame she would chase after Him for the rest of her life.

Christmas Traditions

Christmas was a whirlwind of activity. We tried to come up with some creative ideas to teach Noelle about Jesus and why we celebrate Christmas. We bought a kids book at Lifeway that tells the story of baby Jesus and the events that surrounded that day. We also had a "Happy Birthday Jesus" party Christmas day with a birthday cake and all. Noelle was my big helper. While making the cake, she kept asking me when Jesus was gonna show up to help eat His cake :) Oh the sweet innocence of a child! So refreshing yet humbling at the same time! Here are some pictures to document the occasion.

Noelle: "Just one more lick please."

"MMmmmm. Sweet frosting."

The cake. Not the prettiest thing but Noelle had fun helping :)
