Arizona
Sarah, Winny, and I decided to take a trip to see the Johnsons the day after Thanksgiving because who knows when we'll have this opportunity again. To say it was fun would be an understatement.
The Johnson's in-laws have chickens in their back yard. They're friendlier than I thought they would be.
Sarah and I did end up chasing down a chicken and picking it up (after many attempts). Winny settled for just holding one.
Thanksgiving
We had a fun Thanksgiving this year. We are fortunate enough to live close to the Elmer's and got to spend the day with them. Weston loves being the center of attention. We also got to visit the Boyces and see more family and have more pie.

We are still recovering from a very busy and fun week (Weston is taking a three hour nap this morning!) We got to welcome Mark home from his mission and spent the weekend in Park City with him and the Elmers. Then the Johnsons came in town for their Fall Break and we spent several fun days with Weston's cousins going to see family in Layton, ice cream at BYU, going to the toy store, and seeing the fall colors in Provo Canyon.Friday, September 19, 2008

Most everyone has seen Wes take a few steps by now, but I thought I would still try and capture on camera a little of Wes' walking. He now walks as a means to get someplace, whereas just a couple days ago he'd only walk as a means of getting a treat (from his conniving parents).
He is still a mostly crawler, but I imagine it won't be long before walking is his preference.

Happy Birthday Weston
We had a birthday party for Weston and his aunt Kalli yesterday. I was too busy having fun to take pictures, but here are some great ones Kristi took with our camera of Wes eating his traditional first Birthday cake. I was expecting him to be shy, and overwhelmed with the audience, but got a charmer, and someone not afraid to eat and destroy his entire cake.

Fourth of July Picnic
Our Fourth of July plans included seeing the Balloon Launch and having a Picnic. We didn't make it to the Balloon Launch on time because the stupid Parade blocked us in on all four sides! Minus ONE road that took us too long to find. Yes I'm bitter, I was very excited to see the hot air balloons. We did have a nice Picnic though in the Canyon and here are a few pictures. Wes and I miss you already Scott! (He left this morning.)
