11 Months Gone Already?!

Okay... it is hard to believe that the hub-bub of another busy and often chaotic holiday season is already upon us.  WOW!  The year has flown by... :-0

So, for the November edition of information tidbits to share to our readers... I want to share a couple of blog sites that have great information that can be of use specific for the holiday season.

  • Guide for Moms is a very inspirational blog by a working mother who has succeeded at weight loss and has some very helpful holiday healthy eating tips to get through the holidays without a 10-lb weight gain!
  • Today's Creative Blog has some shares some great ideas and projects all year round, but especially over holidays.
  • 5Minutes for Mom (one of my all-time favorite blogs) has everything from gift ideas to cookie recipes to tips on how to survive the stresses of the holiday season.

These are just a few of the many great blogs out there with a great bit of information to share to help get everyone through the holiday.  And if that isn't enough... you can always go to SomeECards to get a little humor to help you through the season!

One more month of 2012 left... hope it starts off wonderfully for everyone.

One Simple Letter... SO Much Meaning!

Football season is officially over for the year... well, high school football that is.  After weeks of planning, my fellow moms and I managed to get all the details together and throw the players one heck of a party!  Their annual football banquet was last Thursday.  To make it short, here are the highlights...

Gifts, decorations... plus food and entertainment!

One happy kid getting his Varsity letter.
(Only six Sophomores lettered... DJ was one!)

Coach J and Dalton... always kidding about something!

It seems so simple... one single letter in the form of a patch.  But it means so much more.  It's signifies strength, determination, hard work and extreme dedication.  For it is only by exhibiting all of those traits that the ability to play enough to letter becomes a reality.  Dalton played in all four quarters of every Varsity game this season as a Sophomore.  He started special teams and sometimes even linebacker.  He worked harder than I've seen him work for anything. We are all so extremely proud of Dalton for his big accomplishment.

That is pretty much it in a nutshell.  A lot of planning for one night of fun and celebration for 350 people.  Well worth every moment spent getting to that point... but I could have done without the clean up afterwards!
