Two years and counting!

McKenna has just turned two!
Just two short years ago, McKenna decided to make her entrance into the world three weeks early, which then had Tucker, who was out of town, racing down the mountain to make it in time for the delivery!

McKenna has brought such a sweet spirit of joy into our home.

The kids really enjoy playing with her ...

They like to play dolls...

and dress-ups...

and Build-a-Bears...

and Superheros.

We all laugh when McKenna tries to dress herself in any article of clothing she might come across on the floor. ( It really makes it a challenge to get the kids to pick up their clothes when we know Kenna will be such fun entertainment if she comes across it...)

This modern day "Muslim" looking out fit is actually  Maren's shorts.
Head in one leg, body in the other.

What kid doesn't have a proud goggle picture?

Macey decided to give pig tails a try (or as Grandma J says, "bootalies")
one day and Kenna actually likes them... (just long enough to get some place and have her rip them out and have crazy, "my mother should know better" hair.)

This was Kenna a year ago eating her first birthday cake.

Her Highness was having a bit of prop trouble.

McKenna actually was so fast at blowing out the candles, she probably did it at least five times while we sang to her.  As soon as Macey had them lit again she had them out!

My what manners!  What a difference a year can make.  She is even using her fork...

and pleased as punch!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET McKENNA!
We love you!

Wow! It's already time for Valentines 2009!

Just look at that sweet face!
Now you tell me,
was this next photo an accident or...

...on purpose from some sort of creative, inventive genius
child prodigy?
(Thanks for the reality check, here's to dreamin')
How come my mom always seemed to find better help in the kitchen?

Here's something fun for our family, hopefully for years to come.

Well, the big hit last Christmas as far as presents go, was an area that Tucker made for the kids, in our unfinished basement, so they could have their own workshop. (I'm still trying to decide who the gift was really for, Tucker or the kids.)

He gave them hand-me-down tools and saw horses for the most part and got some wood at a steal of a price. They now stay out of his workshop and create all kinds of things.

It is really fun to wonder where the kids have gone and then I'll hear the hammering coming from downstairs. Beats watching the tube!
